ALAMEDA – The Raiders regular-season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars sold out and will be televised locally,
A Raiders official confirmed Thursday that the Raiders sold out the game in advance of the league-mandated deadline of 72 hours before kickoff. The game is slated for Sunday at 1:25 p.m.
The Raiders reduced the seating capacity of the Coliseum for football games by almost 10,000 this offseason. They tarped off the upper deck on the east side of the stadium, as well as a few other upper-deck sections, to get capacity down to 53,286.
All but one home game last season sold enough tickets to avoid a blackout, when the Raiders were required to sell only 85 percent of their tickets to meet the blackout threshold.in place at the time.
The Raiders now have sold out 16 of their past 17 regular-season home games, dating to the start of the 2011 season.

    @Mistic

Raiders had the Colts defense on their heels. They were gassed, too. Coach DA had 1:15 on the clock when the ball was snapped (why a timeout there, on 1st down?)

Olson calls offensive plays, not Allen.

you are so stupid, I swear

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

banres worked a technique called handing off the rusher.

he handed off the rusher to nix but nix was unaware and missed it.

this is a result of the o line only playing together for 4 days before the game

actually a receiver was breaking open int he endzone and pryor was starting his throwing motion but Mathis blew into the back field and forced pryor to pull it down

this di not need to happen

a time out would have saved all of it

what the fugg was allen saving it for?

what a loser he is the carson palmer of coaches

no wait he is the matt flynn of coaches at least palmer has the stocking stuffer garbage time stats to his credit

So Doc Blowhard is only 50-50 on TP crashing ?

I’d have thought he’d be 100% certain of it.

I mean after all, he is the worst passer in the NFL.

Doc Blowhard, even if TP does eventually crash and burn, that won’t change the fact that you were completely wrong about him being cut, traded, 3rd string, and never starting an NFL game.

Your inability to understand that TP is by far the best option for THIS team to score points, shows you don’t have a clue about football or the RAIDS.

You and the other myopians can blather on about QB rating and completion percentage until you’re blue in the face.

    You don’t know jack.

You’ll be doing yourself and the blog a big favor if you keep your word about only posting on game day.

I don’t normally talk to people obsessed with man boobs but since u insist in ur garbage, I will.

The best PASSER ALWAYS is the best choice.

Pryor led us to a whopping 17 points due to his mistakes.

Some of my prognostications were clearly (to a non idiot) meant as needling if the Pryor Brigade.

What I am correct about (as usual) is my EVALUATION.

Pryor should not be starting and he will likely go the route of Kordell Stewart.

    U will see.

I want the best for the Raiders.

Pryor is the worst passer on the roster.

goes to show you COLTS were preparing for PRYOR.. u dont even need to prepare for flynn
    =========================================
    Of course they were.

Which made Tits Allen’s QB charade all the more moronic.

It will be the ultimate irony if despite his mishandling of TP, that TP winds up saving his azz.

    Worst HC in the NFL.

    @RM99

Reggie pushed his boy Flynn on Coach Allen. DA was just following orders, making Pryor #2 on the food chain

blame the right man, why dont ya?

Just heard ESPN doing their injury report: Watson had a tear in the lateral meniscus and is expected out for 3-4 more games minimum.

Since the surgery was last week, it just ticks me off that we retain some of the stupid secrecy that Al prized. There’s no advantage to any upcoming teams to think Watson will play.

I also hate how any Mercury News/Oak Trib blogsite jumps around all over the place. It’s not my pc as other sites don’t do it and this one always does.

Note: Can we stop calling TP a “kid”? That word really bothers me. He’s 24. At 24 a lot of men and women in this country are also new to their jobs, and those jobs include building homes, building bridges, roads, defending their country, taking people into emergency rooms, taking care of the weak and the ill, doing things that, if done incorrectly could kill other people. We don’t refer to them as they do their jobs as “kids.”

I realize it’s common for people in their 40s and above to refer to those in their 20s as “kids” since they often are their own children, but when we speak of those not related to us, people doing their jobs as TP is his, I think “kid” is inaccurate and a misnomer.

“Inexperienced” is fine, but a not “kid.”

Last night you saw the Jets QB Smith play he is much like Pryor but as a rookie who can actually Pass…He looks like with training he will be a franchise QB someday Soon. ..At the moment he makes much the same mistakes that Pryor makes….He has the same Physical tools as Pryor…Size and speed…Plus he is very a good passer…who needs to learn when to pass in a give situation and when not to….Like Pryor he lost the first two games for the jets….

Pryor has only lost one for us…and hopefully will not cost us the Jacksonville Game…I think we are much better then Jacksonville so it is a game I expect us to win…

    PRYOR

29 Passes (includes the 2 critical INTERCEPTIONS)

    21 Hand offs

13 RUNS…That is a big load of Runs for an NFL QB….

The very best Young QBs Kaepernick, Luck, RG111, Wilson are being coached NOT TO RUN, How to stay in the Pocket and throw…WHY…Two Reasons…

    1) When a QB runs he will eventually become injured…the defenders Go after QBs with a vengeance

    2) If he runs Right or Left..(Mostly Right for Pryor) he cannot throw to the other side of the Field…He is giving away 1/2 the field …If he does mostly run to the Right…The defense will begin to force him to run left…he gives up the right side of the field and a guy that doesn’t throw well now has an even tougher Pass running to his left where he actually has to do something to get his body into position to throw.

WELL BIGMIKE He just needs more Training….HOGWASH this stuff is BASIC…He played football most of his life as a QB and he doesn’t even know the BASICS?…Doesn’t know not to throw across his body?…Keeps throwing interceptions in the Red Zone..as he did in Pre-Season also

IF at half-time of the Jacksonville Game….We are Behind 17-0 and Pryor looks terrible…DO YOU PRYOR LOVERS WANT HIM TO STAY IN THE GAME OR TO YOU THINK WE SHOULD LET FLYNN HAVE A GO or McGloin….and IF YOU SAY NO…Aren’t you demonstrating that you really don’t care if the Raiders Win or Lose as long as Pryor is in there …even if he is stinking it up …

  • Bigmike34

    PS

All you Pryor Groupies …I am sure were all GaGa over how wonderful and exciting Geno Smith was last night…HE LOST THE GAME FOR THE JETS HIS QB RATING WAS 15…He threw for 214 yards…Ran 3 times for 17 yards….He will get better and better…He has a strong and ACCURATE ARM….this is Pryor’s 3rd year…and he know Little about being a QB…

Note Geno Smith did NOT Cry, after the game…and does have a Win for his team…in the Prior week

  • Bigmike34

    Raider Man 99

In his two starts…Flynn playng against the Patriots and Detroit put up He put up OVER 80 Points in the two games….How many points has Pryor put up in his two starts???? Flynn Won one his LAST Start against Detroit….Hopefully Pryor will win his game against the worse team in the League JACKSONVILLE… and maybe he will get the WIN and Rack up in 3 Games the points Flynn got in 2 games….MAYBE…He would have to ring up over 62 Points to match Flynn’s 80 Plus

  • Bigmike34

What has Pryor accomplished in his football career…well…He did get his team to a Rose Bowl game in his last year at Ohio State….

WHAT DID FLYNN DO…He started in his Senior Year…and brought his team to a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP…Something that jamarcus Russell COULD NOT DO PLAYING IN FRONT OF HIM….Until he finally got his chance when Russell went to the NFL…

As you no doubt will remember Russell had all the physical attributes of PRYOR…and also was not an accurate Passer….But to be Fair…Pryor has not fattened up

NOTE: Flynn also set the GB passing record for yards in a game (480) and TD Passes in a Game (6) even though playing behind Aaron Rodgers he only got two starts. he owns those records NOT RODGERS..
