It’s official: Pryor inactive

Terrelle Pryor was declared inactive Sunday six days after sustaining a concussion against the Denver Broncos.

The announcement ended a week of speculation about whether Pryor would be cleared medically and resume his role as the starting quarterback, or if Matt Flynn would start against the Washington Redskins.

Pryor was cleared to play against Washington Friday, Raiders coach Dennis Allen said. But the Raiders coach also said he wanted Pryor to pass one more team-mandated test.

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Pryor began to experience some concussion systems Saturday night, with Allen then opting for Flynn against Washington.

Other inactives were safety Tyvon Branch, tackle Menelik WAtson, guard Antoine McClain, guard Lucas Nix, wide receiver Juron Criner and defensive end Jason Hunter.

I think Seabass should tell them when he’s going to kick it out of the end zone so they don’t have to run so fast.

Millen. Loved the dirt/blood/contact. Good thing he didn’t play behind Butkus, we’d have never known this.

Just finished watching a delay playing of today’s game (I was out of town). The Defense played decent. Special teams had their moments. Clearly two things become very obvious to me:
First, Matt Flynn is simply terrible. He has no pocket presence, he can’t read defenses, he’s a slow thinker, He’s weak armed and he’s not mobile. He’s not a game manager he’s just one BIG LIABILITY! Whatever possessed RM to get this guy is beyond me. If it were up to me I’d cut him RIGHT NOW. At best, he’s the #3 QB if we only have 3. I still think we should just cut him outright. He brings absolutely nothing to the table.

The second thing of note is that in my book, DMac is toast. HE WILL NEVER BE AN ELITE RB. He’s as bad or worse than “Glass” Schillens when it comes to availability. I say RM steps away from DMac at the end of the year, if not sooner. That’scabout all I have to say except that had TP2 played today, we would have won that game.Washington was there for the taking but Flynn was not the one to do it. Where was McGloin? He couldn’t have been any worse. EPIC FAILURE today!

I think it is clear Pryor was ready to go and Allen sat him because he wanted to see what Flynn could do. Flynn is his chosen boy and I do not think Allen is overly excited or comfortable with a Mike Vick type scrambling QB.
