It’s official: Pryor inactive

Terrelle Pryor was declared inactive Sunday six days after sustaining a concussion against the Denver Broncos.

The announcement ended a week of speculation about whether Pryor would be cleared medically and resume his role as the starting quarterback, or if Matt Flynn would start against the Washington Redskins.

Pryor was cleared to play against Washington Friday, Raiders coach Dennis Allen said. But the Raiders coach also said he wanted Pryor to pass one more team-mandated test.

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Pryor began to experience some concussion systems Saturday night, with Allen then opting for Flynn against Washington.

Other inactives were safety Tyvon Branch, tackle Menelik WAtson, guard Antoine McClain, guard Lucas Nix, wide receiver Juron Criner and defensive end Jason Hunter.

No, it’s pretty easy to tell who cares more about a QB’s success than the team’s success.

  • alex7

the real fans want the best QB to play, whoever that might be.

    The others are Pryor fans.

  • http://raiders.com/ Crawfish Joe

Easy big fella. Enjoy your moment in the sun. It’s all good. Pryor is still our #1.

  • RealTruRaider

Palmer being Palmer………..or is his supporting cast to be blamed again????

  • alex7

    they go hand in hand.

Go look at the standings and the QB ratings.

  • JOn Wooah

If FLYNN started against the COLTS… Raiders would have lost by 25 at least ,

  • Raideraholic

I Wanted Pryor but I am still A Raider fan so GO RAIDERS!

  • alex7

the Cardinals are kinda terrible. But I supported Reggie in getting rid of Palmer, while others whined about it.

–> @BHugh215: To be clear, @JayGlazer basically confirmed @VicTafur’s report. Pryor WAS scheduled to start, things changed late/overnight.

  • eastoaklandraider

I’m trolling now just as flynnstones would do if TP was starting, but at least I admit it those cowards won’t.

  • JOn Wooah

Thats how bad FLYNN is.. DA was still gonna START PRYOR… FLYNN starter by DEFAULT , lol WOW!!! DA was gonna roll PRYOR on six days rest over a well rested FLYNN

There it is trolls, DA and CHarles woodson didnt want flynn to start.

  • 24

Many may disagree but starting Flynn was the right thing to do for this week. It’s for the betterment of Pryor and getting your backup QB some playing time, never hurts in this situation.

Plus…I’m just curious and I need to know personally what Flynn can or can’t do.

  • RaidingTexas

Really? Have you seen Tom Brady’s rating?

  • RealTruRaider

You have never been a fan, you the most negative fool on here since I started posting, You have been down on Pryor since we drafted him, no matter what he does you will never give him props. SO sir, you are no Raider fan, you are actually a Raider hater imo

  • alex7

yeah, the curiosity factor definitely plays for me this week. I want to see our WRs more involved, and Flynn is the right QB for that. I believe we have some hidden gems that are just not being given the ball in rhythm.

  • RealTruRaider

This guy is so dense, you better off arguing with the damn wall

  • alex7

Pryor became starter when Flynn got tendinitis.

    Caps are for kids.

  • eastoaklandraider

    The 85 Skins, er Bears.

  • R8derdiehard

Palmers done this his whole career big yards terrible and costly turnovers. I knew the day we got him he would put up big numbers but never lead us to any success its to bad cause he is a great passer

  • Raidersfan727

i didnt know matt shaugnessy played for Arizona,,. I guess the cards are the 2012 raiders

  • Raideraholic

    Go Giants!
    Damn you D. Mcluster

  • alex7

except he’s made the playoffs twice playing for the 3 worst teams of the last 10 years.

His last decent RB was Corey Dillon. Yikes.

  • R8derdiehard

If that were the whole truth Flynn would have resumed his starter position when he was healthy

  • alex7

Palmer’s last decent RB was Corey Dillon.
He’s played for the 3 worst franchises of the last decade.
Even Jeff George had a huge playoff year when he was on the talented Vikings.

    Time and chance.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I’m here. What’s he doing? Been doing some other stuff.

  • alex7

    lol, he just did.

  • 24

You guys know Kiffin got fired today right?

  • Raidersfan727

I wouldnt say the cardinals were worse than the Browns or Lions this past decade…

  • alex7

Lions made the playoffs a few years ago.

Browns…eh, just as bad as Cardinals. Still, shows how much luck of the draw plays a role in a person’s life.

  • R8derdiehard

Yeah I laughed pretty hard especially the way they did it

  • Raideraholic

I know the Giants are bad but Chiefs look for real

  • alex7

yeah, they had 5 pro bowlers on last year’s bad team, so you knew it was a coaching problem. I predicted them at 8-8 this year and some in here thought I was being too generous :)

  • the soulful dr robert

    Boo ya! Get ‘em Alex!

  • RealTruRaider

Yeah lol, I remember a certain poster who thought the World of the Kitten, just a horrible coach and person

  • 24

I’m just glad I finally dropped the 49ers Defense and picked up the Chiefs Defense in fantasy. The move is paying off so far.

  • the soulful dr robert

    Fvck Lance Kiffin!

  • nolimits3333

Palmer is a stiff. Mr. Pick Six.

  • alex7

seems everyone but us lights up the Jaguars.
    Weird.

  • 24

The Browns actually have really good coaching at least…they just need a few years to get their guys and they’ll turn it around, especially after they probably get Bridgewater by using their 2 1st round draft picks to move up.

  • alex7

Nice. Especially when they play us =) Just pick whoever plays the Jets or Raiders each week and you’ll be fine.

  • nolimits3333

Kiffin wanted to draft Calvin Johnson.
Where would we be if we had Calvin Johnson?

  • Raideraholic

MJD is going to be the death of my fantasy team

  • alex7

    in Oakland, still.

But yeah =) We could have had Megatron or Peterson. And Ngata.

  • alex7

benched MJD for Bilal Powell. That’s a crazy fantasy football sentence.

  • RealTruRaider

Probably where the Lions have been, heck we might of been the lonely team to go 0-16

  • 24

I wonder if we’re the most divided fan base.

  • 24

He was a risk after his injury last year. I stayed clear from him.

  • raider_39

how do you post this after bagging on TP who has noone close resembling a C Dillon on our current team ? lol

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    No. Maybe tied, though.
