Raiders-Chargers game pushed back more than 7 hours

ALAMEDA – The starting time for the Raiders game against the San Diego Chargers has been pushed back more than seven hours so that there’s enough time to convert the field from a baseball configuration.
The A’s play their second playoff game on Saturday night at the Coliseum. The Raiders and Chargers were scheduled to start at 1:25 p.m. Sunday. That didn’t leave the grounds crew enough time to convert the field to a football setup.
Therefore, the Raiders-Chargers game will begin at 8:35 p.m. Also, it will be broadcast on NFL Network, even if the game doesn’t sellout in advance of the league deadline.

Reg also gave up 2 draft picks and 2 million dollars for Flynn.

I guess you take the good with the bad.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

    Jeeeeeeeeeeeeze!!!

He settled for a lousy $1.8 million a year and told Jerry that he was FINE with coming back but nobody ASKED him!

  • 24

    Agree!

  • Papertiger

Hell would entail being forced to watch every Chiefs, Broncos, and Chargers victory with commentary by Dan Dierdorf.

I have to admit I did not like DA last year but I am impressed with how the team fights hard every down.

  • 24

I accept taking bigger gambles and risks on QB’s and like most QB’s, they simply don’t work out but trying is better than nothing.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Essentially because the government rarely knows what it’s doing.

  • 24

And that’s why we got rid of all those players. They didn’t want to play for anybody. Now you get a bunch of people who want to play and they listen to DA.

  • SnBG

Do you not know that we are in Raiderhell.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

You have a valid point in that is this is a QB driven league you have to have a good QB therefore you must take more chances on that position than others.

We gave up 3 draft picks for QB’s last year and will probably do it again come April.

  • SnBG

Even Corkie says the team is with Allen.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

LMFAO and I really like how you threw in the Dan Dierdorf thing….I hate that guy!!!!

  • SnBG

It doesn’t hurt that some of these guys are on 1 and 2 yr deals. Helps to keep them motivated. Good job Reg.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

It’s true. Right up to the end of the game too.
We didn’t do well against Peyton but who does?

  • 24

Tons of cap and…do we have all of our draft picks next year?

  • 24

We did better than everyone else.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

    Yeah, it’s a game evaluation.

  • SnBG

I think we will have 7 picks next year.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

I tried telling Inonewordraider that Denver won its last 11 games in a row to end the regular season last year then opened up the season scoring 49 on the Super Bowl champs.

I knew they were going to be good even without the players that are suspended.

He said I was delusional and they were not playing well.

This commenting forum should have a block feature.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Your comments aren’t THAT bad man.

  • 24

If so, we’re officially starting over the right way.

In year 3, the offensive and defensive systems will be installed. The front office will be complete. The HC will have more experience. We’ll have more money to spend and more draft picks to work with.

    The future is bright.

  • 24

Haha. Well I’m just thinking that if you don’t want to see someone on here, you should just be able to block them altogether.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Not at all and it is intentional.
McKenzie is looking to next year when he’s swimming in money and draft picks to really build up the team.

  • 24

It’s all about matchups. Even great players find matchups that are difficult for them and they have bad games. Sometimes another player just has your number.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

True. There are two people who keep getting banned and then back on and I wouldn’t mind blocking them.

  • SnBG

Lechler wanted to be close to home. He wasn’t going to sign with the Raiders.

  • The_Judge37

No 5th round pick because of Matt Flynn. But should have an extra 7th for Palmer. Good Job Reggie!

  • 24

Of these 1 year deals, who are the keepers so far? So far I say…

    Mike Jenkins
    Charles Woodson
    Nick Roach
    Kevin Burnett
    Vance Walker
    Pat Sims

  • marks hair

how did our defense wear down if we won the time of possession? quit?

  • 24

I think watching Flynn play made everyone quit.

  • marks hair

    bad sign for da

  • Theghostronin79

    Yep

  • The_Judge37

Can’t be, our players now love football and god.

  • http://Raiders.com/ Dan78

Obi Flynn Kenobi did not give the D any hope….

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

    LMFAO

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

I’ve actually never seen Peyton quite this good. Not bad for an old guy.

  • 24

No…bad sign for Flynn. People are human and even if you love something, it can take 1 person to ruin it for you.

  • Papertiger

Definitely. Just watching that game on television made me want to cry/take a nap. I can’t blame the D for feeling the same way.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Lechler said to Jerry he was fine with coming back but no body contacdted him.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

They sure have surrounded him with weapons.

He has 3 damn good WR’s and 3 good RB’s and a couple of good TE’s.

  • 24

The Broncos are the best thing that could have ever happened to him.

  • marks hair

I see know acceptable reason for a defense or team to quit just because the backup is in for one game..

get a hold of your títs man!

  • PlunkforHOF

I got a Black Hole ticket for the Squealers. $60 face, paid $150. Not thru Ticket Exchange though. Don’t really care that much, I usually only get to one game a year and missed out last year because I was sick. I figure a day in the Hole with the Nation is worth it.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Yeah, more like a bad sign for Flynn!

  • MEX_GHOST

    LOL

  • 24

Maybe RM was trying to disconnect himself from emotions with Lechler. If he didn’t speak to him, he could conduct his business properly but if he spoke to him, he might sway into making a rash decision?

I feel like RM had to be a tougher person his first year and make decisions that were even uncomfortable for him to make for the betterment of the team.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

    ( . Y . )

  • 24

I don’t think it was intentional dude. Maybe it’s a conditioning issue?

  • 24

The Redskins must have had 1 more praying person on their team than ours.
