Raiders-Chargers game broadcast nationally, locally

The Raiders-Chargers game will be televised locally on KRON, a Raiders spokesman said Thursday afternoon.
The league announced earlier this week that the game Sunday will be televised nationally on NFL Network as a result of the start time being pushed back from 1:25 p.m. to 8:35.
This marks the third regular-season home game that sold out in advance of the league-mandated deadline of 72 hours before kick-off. Also, the Raiders have sold out all but one game since the start of the 2011 season.

    ^^ sock puppet alert,

    just spayyin,,,

  • Rico Stifler

Cuz you like to slurp on Pryor’s hog

  • Raider O

I don’t want to put all my eggs in the TP basket. Too risky.

  • KoolKell

There’s no upside to stunting TP even more than they already have to install Josh Freeman mid-season.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

It’s nice when a poster let’s you know you can ignore all his future posts.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Freeman would be one big azz distraction.
Not only on the team but in the nation as well.
On Cork’s pol it’s virtually a 50/50 split to bring him or not but five seconds ago most on here were agitating for Pryor to be the guy.

  • http://www.raiders.com/ Drexl

not exactly “mid” but we get your point ole koot

  • Rico Stifler

While I do agree with that sentiment, that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what they think of Pryor. It just means they think they have a better chance with Freeman cuz he is a better passer and cuz he knows the offense better than Pryor does.

  • Rico Stifler

    Sock puppet? What?

  • The_Judge37

Have you figured it out yet? Rico’s got a P.H.D. – Pryor Hating Degree

  • plunkhead

When they display awesome debate skills?

  • http://www.raiders.com/ Drexl

    Hoyer?

    JC should just quit football

  • Rico Stifler

    You’re right. Let’s all ignore KK’s posts…

  • Rico Stifler

I don’t hate Pryor. I just think that Freeman would give us a better chance to win now and in the future. Pryor is our best option at QB that we currently have on our roster. But is he really the better option than Freeman? Both in the short and long-term? I don’t think he is.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Don’t be so hard on yourself.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

    I agree.

  • Rico Stifler

Hard to stunt a player that is one-dimensional. Not a smart QB and not a good passer. yes, he can run and he makes to occasional pass, but that’s about it

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Your Joe bucks link? I still have the thread un refreshed. I can refresh and see if it disappears.

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

65% cmp% doc slob stop your lying

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

This is a no linking re c tum zone, thank you very much.

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

i like the idea of freeman coming as a back up. he would be instantly the best # 2 in the nfl

  • no mas diamante

Dump Flynn sign freeman… logical improvement to the team.

  • Theghostronin79

He was looking sharp as hell on his last 2 drives before concussion…….Just getting better, and better, and better…..and BETTER…..and no point has he regressed.

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

uh guys relax. if freeman arrives it is strictly to back up pryor, nothing more

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

freeman could not and would not be a distraction in any way, is career is on the brink. he will come in for the minimum and not raise a peep, hoping to catch on with another team next year as the starter

  • Rico Stifler

Doc slob? I was Demon Raider in the old set up. Not doc slob, plus I hated Flynn since we traded for him.

Also, in three games this year, Pryor only has 624 passing yards and 2 TDs to 2 picks, both in the red zone. His completion percentage is pointless at this point.

  • Theghostronin79

If he wants to……Didn’t sound like he was scurrying to find a new team right away either.

  • Theghostronin79

2 picks in one game……2 games zero picks…progressively improving.

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

i dont see how pryor would be affected at all, it isnt like freeman is acant miss hof qb. he certainly wouldnt get pryors practice reps or game time

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

this team belongs to pryor and no qb joing at this late in the season after an up and down career to date is going to change that.

the raiders are now all in to find out about pryor, this is evident through the demotion of flynn

  • KoolKell

How in the Hell can you bring is someone with 50 starts, 25 yrs old and ask him to sit behind Pryor and not be a team distraction?

  • Rico Stifler

Sharp as hell? Now you’re stretching.

We only had 13 first downs to Denver’s 31. We were 5-12 on 3rd down. That’s on Pryor as he is supposed to lead the offense down the field. We were 2 of 3 in the red zone. How many of those were TDs that Pryor led us to? None…..

  • Rico Stifler

Outside of the SD game, Pryor has never had more than one TD in a game and he didn’t have any against the lowly Jags.

He got a little more careful about his passes, but they haven’t translated into more TDs. So you’re ‘progress’ is negated by lack of scoring…..

  • Rico Stifler

Oh no, we can’t have a 50-start QB replacing our 4-start QB!!! Nevermind that Freeman has thrown for over 3400 yards three times, 4000 yards once and have thrown 25 or more TDs twice and in one of those years he only threw six picks. Not to mention that he had 4 rushing TDs in 2011 also.

  • Rico Stifler

4 games is late in the season?

  • Rico Stifler

When asked if there was any interest in Freeman….

    “I don’t know,” DA replied softly……

Yeah, that sounds like a HC that has no interest in Freeman…

  • 0ak R8rs

I thought exactly the same thing. Talk about leaving the door open…..

  • http://raiders.com/ whoknows

    ummm. new post

  • MachoManRandySavage

Please do not bring Freeman in. Let Pryor do his thing, then decide if this kid is the future. Freeman is going through a Vincent Young/ Rolando McClain thing. Let him work it out.

  • The_Judge37

It sounds like a Head Coach who doesn’t know much. I think “IDK” are the only words in DA’s vocabulary since I hear it so much.

  • Rico Stifler

The part that kills me is that he replied softly…. He didn’t just reply IDK, but he said it softly….. lol

  • Rico Stifler

He didn’t have any legal issues…..

  • Blackholepriest

To interrupt TP’s development I am not in favor of it. However I am in favor of improving this team every chance you get if Freeman was backing up TP I would love it.

TP is IMHO HEAD AND SHOULDER a better leader than most if the league he just is. People argue about his TP all the time buy one thing most just do not get. Is this kid has Michael Jordan type competitiveness. Most people just don’t know how t quantify that. It is the most needed quality of any leader you can ask for in this league you must have that to WIN…….period

I just heard Jerry Rice on 95.7 say out of josh Freeman and TP who would he rather have throwing him the ball? His answer; TERRELL PRYOR.

Jerry whom I have known for many years views leadership and competitiveness as huge qualities that made him the best rec’r in history he was no where near the most talented nor fastest but he was competitive and a leader someone he mentioned when selecting Pryor over Freeman.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    95.7 The GAME

    @957thegame

We just recieved this text from Josh
Freeman: “Raider Nation is great. I’ve worked with Greg Olson & he
    is a great coordinator.”

    4:52 PM – 3 Oct 2013

  • Downhomedude

Oh, I’m not arguing his skill set, as a passer. I’m just not sure our line could protect him – or anyone – for that matter…

  • Downhomedude

He was a fantasy monster when I had him, not sure he had the best team around him…

  • Rico Stifler

That’s tough to say, but we should be getting Watson back and that may make the line better some. Also, Freeman is pretty mobile, he’s not like a statue in the pocket like Palmer was.

  • http://charlesmalloy.com/ Chas Malloy

Pryor is the starting QB…..the Raiders are not in a position to be the rehab center for cast off NFL players anymore. Let’s focus on getting back to .500 …..Get 45 involved against the bolts… 24 take Gates out, 99 pound Rivers…. come out with a win and move on
