OAKLAND – The Raiders’ defense and special teams play highlighted the second quarter tonight, as Oakland entered halftime with a 17-point advantage.
San Diego drove 79 yards to the Oakland 1 and had two plays to try to punch it into the end zone. But a Philip Rivers swing pass was incomplete on third down, and then Danny Woodhead was stopped short of the goal line on fourth down.
A Raiders fumble recovery led to a 47-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski for a 17-0 Raiders lead with 4:13 left in the first half. Oakland’s defense limited San Diego to one first down the rest of the half.
Oakland scored on its first offensive play, a 44-yard pass from Terrelle Pryor to Rod Streater. The Raiders drove 88 yards on 13 plays on their second possession to score on a 2-yard pass from Pryor to Denarius Moore.
Pryor completed all eight of his pass attempts in the first quarter for 105 yards. He finished the first half with a 131.9 quarterback rating (13 for 18, 141 yards, 2 TD, O INT).

They’ve realized that our line can’t handle any sort of pressure. We need to do what manning does and do quick passes.
