Raiders 27, Chargers17, final

The Raiders’ DJ Hayden and Charles Woodson intercepted Philip Rivers on San Diego’s last two possessions to secure Oakland’s victory.
Rivers drove to the Oakland 4 with less than two minutes remaining, but on a third-and-goal play, Hayden produced his interception in the end zone.
Woodson grabbed an interception on San Diego’s final possession to end the threat.

Keep wondering strombringer or should i say civilan Trapp

  • eastoaklandraider

    TP choked in Indy.

  • RealTruRaider

Nope, not when you playing Manning, have to play mistake free at that point in game PERIOD

  • Alex7

Mortensen is actually giving us props. But yes, the media is just week to week when they don’t follow a team locally.

  • the fiendish dr robert

    there u go.

  • Prometheus

48-48 game at home less than 2 minutes in the 4th and Romo throws an INT in his own RZ and hands the game to the broncos. CHOKE.. worst kind of choke too. CHOKE CHOKE GAG GAG

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I thought stats didn’t matter, only wins. How about those Cardinals? Certain QB’s just inspire their team to play great.

  • Papertiger

Hope the win made you feel better, turf toe! I know you were having a rough go of it earlier.

    Also, stay away from Woodson!

  • turf toe

Stay out of this one, Cartman.

  • LondonAl

Don’t forget Moore. He played very well. Also Streater had a good game too. If Pryor is to put up some numbers we need our WR to shine much more often.

  • MaddenRaider

Wasn’t talking about Mortenson, I was talking about ROFLSports, whoever the hell they are.

  • Alex7

to be fair, TB has a pro-bowl RB and a pro-bowl WR, so it’s not like he had no talent to work with in Tampa.

  • Alex7

also had Carl Nicks at guard, huge FA aquisition.

  • the fiendish dr robert

    cartman?

  • Alex7

lol, absolutely. Palmer is so clutch! NFC Wild-card leaders =)

  • turf toe

Thanks for the thought, Paper. You seem too normal to be hanging around here.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    I’ll agree. He should.

  • Alex7

oh, I have no clue who they are, didn’t think you’d refer to them.

  • MaddenRaider

Man, this feels good. Knowing the Raiders have a team again. Those of us that actually watch Raider games know this is a 4-1 team, and our record is going to match who we really are later in the season. Now time for my Kenny Powers DVR. Goodnight, Nation.

  • Papertiger

Romo is a rich man’s Philip Rivers!

He is truly part of the 1%, in terms of failure.

  • the fiendish dr robert

    we are 2-3.

  • Alex7

true, Pryor hadn’t cracked 20 points in a start yet so not sure why it’d be a gimme win. But the Colts game, that was just two brutal end zone INTs, so really 3-2 is realistic, not 4-1.

  • eastoaklandraider

AP is all world, so Freeman will have his way with their prize FA wr acquisition.

  • the fiendish dr robert

not if he continues with huge amount of picks.

if he returns to 2010 form, then yes.

  • Alex7

    Chargers 19 rushes, 32 yards.

Ryan Matthews, 1st round pick, 3 carries.

  • MaddenRaider

Get over it, Robert! I know you wanted to see a thorough SD butt whipping tonight, and for Pryor to look dreadful, and it didn’t happen. You’ll get over it. cheer up! Goodnight!

  • eastoaklandraider

    AP will cure all ails.

  • RealTruRaider

Cards have been playing great??? More like horrible but they have been getting the W despite horrible QB play, good for them

  • Papertiger

Didn’t Carl Nicks almost lose his toe or something to a staph infection? I remember reading on PFT that he was all messed up.

  • the fiendish dr robert

    that’s ridiculous.

  • http://raiders.com/ Crawfish Joe

Only W’s matter. Stats are for some who like to swing with their agenda. But it helps to have players that fit your mold.
On another note, will discuss how this disqus behaves sometimes, sometime. Got a few questions and comments. And I think Cork and Jer, other than the posts, have completely abandoned the blog site.

  • Prometheus

jeebus man a lot of teams have little stories about why their record should be better….. blah blah…. 2-3 with a chance at 3-3.

  • the fiendish dr robert

    like he has for ponder?

freeman has to do his part or else he will just be another bad qb.

but he might find it again.

  • Alex7

    true.

  • the fiendish dr robert

we are 2-3. those games are over.

  • the fiendish dr robert

    we are a schizophrenic team.

    but i am encouraged.

  • eastoaklandraider

Now ponder is what you thought Pryor would be, pure garbage.

  • Isaac Miller

What’s ridiculous is you can’t enjoy the win. You have to harp on Pryor not being perfect for 4 quarters. He was perfect for two. Calm the F DOWN WITH YOUR PRYOR HATE!!!

  • the fiendish dr robert

    no arguments there.

  • Alex7

you know a W is a stat. Stats just measure what actually happened. Don’t hate on it like it’s 1930 pre-computer days.

  • turf toe

    Now you’re getting it.

  • Alex7

he posted our record. settle down.

  • http://raiders.com/ Crawfish Joe

    Raiders 27, Chargers17, final

  • the fiendish dr robert

pryor hate? read my posts. i said he played better than i expected he ever could.

i state facts. he was great in the first half. is that hate?

he played poorly in the 2nd half, outside of the butler completion.

i speak like a coach, not a fan.

  • Isaac Miller

Sorry, got heated from earlier conversations…

  • Isaac Miller

    So you’re admitting you’re not a fan?

  • the fiendish dr robert

great 1st half. not so great 2nd half, but some timely plays, like sacks, turnovers, and completion to butler.

it’s more complex than final scores.

  • aig

Fantastic win tonite. Proud of these guys. I will miss CWood when his time is up.

  • the fiendish dr robert

of course i’m a fan. i just see things less like a 12 year old who thinks my team can do no wrong, and more objectively, like a coach, which i am.

  • Papertiger

    Who concussed Matthews?
