That wasn’t diving. That was flying. And he is an idiot.

  • DKnight007

I still would keep C Wood around for two more years. He can still play without a doubt.

  • Papertiger

Al would’ve been such a firebrand on Hard Knocks, though. There would have been an overhead projector segment every week!

  • HGDaddy

    Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet
Raiders worked out 3 QBs today: David Carr, Pat White and Trent Edwards. No immediate signing but stay tuned (fixed!)

    DUH

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Good site. Been looking at it for years. Need to buy several elections, ‘cuz they’re not interested. At all.

  • Theghostronin79

He was about himself from the beginning. I had that feeling from his first interview here….It was like a Fart that wouldn’t vacate. He just smelled STANK-AAAY

  • Raider_Riff

Im not sold on his intangibles.

Ive always loved his feet. Pocket presence. Throws a beautiful ball.

I just didnt believe he had it between the ears. And NY makes it an even bigger deal. You have to have mental fortitude and maturity that is beyond what should be expected to survive there.

I dont believe in change. I dont think tigers change their stripes. If you have bad character or judgement, it’s pretty much a stain on you for life.

Which is why I had the same issues with TP when we first drafted him. But TP grew up a lot. Proved me wrong. He is a exception to the rule.

I also had a lot of reservations about the Jets franchise. They are typically a mess. A horrible place for a QB to succeed. Low on talent. A lame-duck coach. A PR crazy front office. They ruined Sanchez. I had little hope for Geno.

Right now, Geno is saying all the right things and playing like a guy that is growing up as well. And Rex looks to have really rebuilt that defense. Their D-Line is VERY impressive.

The opportunity to succeed and prove my predictions wrong is definitely there.

  • DIRT-LOT FOOTBALL

WIN THIS WEEK AND GET TO TE BYE AT .500.GET SOME PEOPLE HEALTHY AND HAVE SOME FUN DOWN THE STRETCH..

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

its called age, he was one of the best tackling dbs in football for a long time.

He is much better now simply ball hawking, butcan still make the occasional big hit (see the superman tackle vs jax) but he has slowed down a great deal after 16 seasons

  • The Beeeeech Dawg

It probably wasn’t the best moment to engage in an impromptu 69, but I promise Bros – I was only thinking about JU’s at bat while chowing down on them tender vittles

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

    Trent Edwards? (puke!)

  • Oaktown Raiders

The same tackle that’s sidelined MJD since week 2?

    #uberidiot

  • DKnight007

Yeah, but with plenty of cap room next year. The time would be right to lock up these guys he signed to 1 year deals so the defense would build on that continuity and chemistry that is being developed. Then add potential impact players through the draft like a BEAST pass rushing RDE/OLB and another DT and a Safety for the future. Keeping Porter and Jenkins and C Wood around for 2 more years.

  • Raider_Riff

Trent Edwards is good. But he hears footsteps. Concussions have ruined him.

    Pass on him.

Carr provides the locker room partner to help develop TP. Go with Carr.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

Dirt Lot, I don’t think it’s about “having fun” anymore. The lazy goofy check cashers are gone and replaced by hard working choir boys

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

i never thought he was very tough and seemed to buckle at times at wv when his team was outmatched

however if he can survive the ny spotlight he is lot tougher minded than i gave him credit for

agreed never a doubt about his skill throwing the football

  • Papertiger

    Her “Kit n Kaboodle”?

  • dplunk

L.O.L. puke if you may…but I’m willing to bet anyone of those three QB’s would’ve preserved the victory over the Redskins last week.

  • The_Judge37

David Carr must really missed the feeling of being slammed to the ground. Or he misses the comradary of his Oline helping him off the ground and apologizing.

  • DKnight007

The more DMC actually is dinged up, the more the Raiders have a better chance at resigning him to a bargain deal actually. No way in hell a team gives a injury riddled RB top dollar on the open market.

  • The Big Banana

Yup, I noticed that from the outset. Reading between the lines (paging JHill), you could tell he loved him some him. “I” this, “I” that.

You can tell a lot based on how people talk.

Pryor has always been about the team and being accountable.

  • Papertiger

    Better get on that, bro!

  • _Mista_

Dumbest comment I’ve seen here since SeyGlen666 said T Wilson is the best qb on our roster or TP can’t throw.

  • Raider_Riff

You called it from the beginning ghost. You read him like a book.

Raider fan never gave the guy a chance. He must literally be so shell shocked. He left Oakland and nobody has seen or heard from him.

I can only imagine what he says about Raider Fan. We are a large reason why he got ran out of here.

Mark, TP, and the Fans are all on the same page. DA looks to be coming around. Reggie is the outlier, busy kicking tires. This is the most unified the Nation has been in over a decade.

Flynn brought us all together. I’ll give him credit for that. While kicking him to the curb. Punk.

  • Goldie7

    New blog everyone!

  • The Beeeeech Dawg

If you are referring to a woman’s private area, that is totally inappropriate

  • DKnight007

Glad McK and DA were smart enough to start TP, otherwise there jobs would be on the line pretty damn fast. The whole nation would have on their azzes also for not starting TP. Need a true evaluation of TP this year to see whether not the team needs to draft a young QB in the draft. Plenty of quality QB’s in the draft potentially in 2014.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

The 1910 Navy team also was undefeated and unscored upon (the lone tie being a 0–0 tie)

  • Papertiger

Didn’t Trent Edwards reject us last season? F-ck that guy!

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

im having a hard time seeing the raiders win this weekend

the queef front seven with houston and hali vs our o line will be very tough sledding.

make it worse we are dowon at rb as well, and the run game is a good way to slow the pass rush.

olson must rely on a quick passing game and heavy misdirection this week to help out pryor and the o line.

then hit them over the top when the defense cheats up.

I think the queef offense is decent but certainly not world beaters

this game boils down to kc d line vs oakland o line

  • Raider_Riff

    Yep. I agree entirely.

All Im saying is that we should expect to lose a couple guys a la Wheeler.

It’s part of Reggie’s philosophy. I dont think he wants to bring everyone back. He wants hungry guys. And some guys want/deserve to get paid.

  • Theghostronin79

That’s right…..TP takes ALL the blame, even said DMO’s drops were HIS fault…They lose, it’s cause, HE played like crap…..They win it’s cause the TEAM played well. That’s a leader right there…#Selfless

  • Papertiger

I guess we’ll just have to see whose Houston is bigger…

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

hope you guys have been watching my guy winston at fsu

where are all the people that said i didnt know what i was talking about?

  • Theghostronin79

In a weird sort of way, this was the only scenario that gets us to where we are today. Flynn ended up being the perfect “Fall guy”.

  • r8ter4evr

Taiwan Jones needs touches at RB Mr Olsen

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

its also very funny that most of the pryor haters simply disappeared from the blog

no plamer to worship and cant blast pryor with the old “but he throws woblers”

lmao they must have either changed handles or moved on to cardinal blog

  • Theghostronin79

I’m gonna beat Marcus Mariota’s drum until the cows come home.

  • http://Raiders.com/ Dan78

That was an awesome game Beeech diggity…. Sounds like the boys in blue weren’t the only ones that scored in the 8th inn…..

  • Theghostronin79

Either way, I’m glad all the bullsh*t bickering is over……For the most part.

  • Papertiger

I know. Dogs shouldn’t eat cat food.

  • Oaktown Raiders

We need to stay in Oaktown.. A’s hypothetically win the world series and get the boot for their own home somewhere else. We’ll rebuild and have the only stadium at the center of the bay.. The MUNI in SF is already saying “Go Raiders!” This is our home and we need to hold fort Mark!

  • The Beeeeech Dawg

    HOLLA!

  • r8ter4evr

Pryor got his chance. Now its Tawains Als picks come on DA

  • Papertiger

Holy smokes! Get your kippers ready!

  • Theghostronin79

I was being an ARSE…..I watch every game multiple times…

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

looks like a good player as well

  • Theghostronin79

He may wind up with the Heisman this year.

  • r8ter4evr

Tawain to me could be a poor mansAlexander or Charles Johnson
