By Jon Becker
Tuesday, October 15th, 2013 at 9:08 am in Oakland Raiders.

Hey everyone,

Just a head’s up that we had to switch this week’s Raiders live chat to Thursday at noon because of scheduling issues with the bye week. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Just setting bait for the Flynnites.

  • DJ Johnny

I think the number of misses is alarming.
Wouldn’t you know it. He gets the big extension and commitment from the Raiders and now we can trust him anymore.
    I know I don’t.

  • marks hair

    sweet

  • Sad Hat In Tulsa

Still pretty good money for holding a clip board.

  • Sad Hat In Tulsa

Re sign Flynn as the undisputed holder.

  • Breaking_Black

“As a player, I just think he doesn’t know [how to act],” Beltran said. “That’s what I think. He really doesn’t know. He must think that he’s still playing somewhere else.

Get with the program Puig! This is good ol boy ball! Act right! Lol

  • The_Judge37

Beltran was upset that it was only a triple instead of an Inside the park HR

  • HGDaddy

“The Raiders have given up 22.0 points per game, 14th best in the league. Last year, they gave up 27.7 (28th).”

    pretty funny

  • Sad Hat In Tulsa

Cutting Flynn created a new ailment:
    Flynnasteriouposititis

  • DJ Johnny

We don’t know how often that happens in the NFL every week.
Other QB’s wouldn’t even mention gaffes like that. Why would they?
My guess is Pryor mentions all his screw-ups to let people know that he takes this stuff very seriously and that he intends on fixing it.
We’ll see if he can or not.
One thing you can say for sure. He “gets it” as far as knowing that chances in this league are fleeting if you don’t bring it every Sunday.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

He’s had some mini funks/slumps before and righted himself. I bet he will again. Seems more serious and stable these days.

At any rate, he doesn’t make my top 5 concerns list.

  • Just Win Baby

It ain’t like he needs the money.

  • The_Judge37

It’s been a while since he’s had those slumps. And i don’t remember them lasting this long. Also it’s usually him shanking kicks. Pussyfooting a 51 yard FG is a concern.

  • HGDaddy

Allen invests ‘QB of the future’ title in Pryor

    Jason La Canfora

Jets have signed Josh Cribbs, who worked out for them a few weeks back

    Back up QB/longsnapper?

  • DJ Johnny

As far as Pryor predicting playoffs, the post title suggests he made some big proclamation or something.
It was just almost a whispered, “throw it out there” comment after a tough loss.
No one even followed up on it with him.
I do like to hear that stuff from the qb, but the way he said it seemed like he doesn’t even believe it himself.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Yes, but I’m thinking/hoping that was an anomaly. His kickoffs are still touchbacks if not thru the uprights.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

if Cribbs returns to form i’m going to be pissed, because Ford hasn’t done jack squat for us through 6 games. I would have waited out the 6-8 weeks to get a Pro Bowl quality player

  • DJ Johnny

Me either…UNTIL the game is on the line or it’s a crucial kick in a game determining situation.
THEN it will catapult to the top of my concerns..

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

Seabass is not mentally well. He’s finally physically well, but his head isn’t screwed on straight. trade him for the Texans kicker (straight up) I don’t even know who that is, but i’m cool with it. re-unite him with Lechler

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

remember Jim Otto hustling back to call the O together. Lots of centers used to do that…don’t seem to see it anymore. They did that even when they weren’t in the 2 minute hurry up offense. Maybe another teammate with a better clock in his head, preferable the center, can get Pryor BACK TO the huddle faster. If you look, the team itself doesn’t hurry back. Then, maybe once he’s there, TP will hear the call in his earpiece with less stress.

  • Davy Jones

I like Pryor, but I think he is too far out on a limb with that one. He should concentrate on playing more like he did in SD and less like he did in KC. I think the bar for an AFC wild card spot is going to be too high for the Raiders to make. Love to be proved wrong.

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

    Verrrrry funny.

  • DJ Johnny

I’d like to think he believes he’s gonna go out and lead us to a 10-1 finish…which is what I think it will take for the wild card in a stronger AFC this year.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

after a terrible 2-4 start, i’d be satisfied with an 8-8 finish. that wouldn’t even allow us to sniff the playoffs

  • The_Judge37

Or trade Ford and King for Lechler straight up.

  • DJ Johnny

At the VERY LEAST we’d have to go 7-3 the rest of the way to have a shot and that’s only if the conference basically falls apart in the AFC-NFC matchups and good teams start losing to bad ones.
Of course IT CAN happen but this offense needs to get its act together…quick.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

trade Ford and King for Lechler straight up.
    ***
so what’s in it for Houston, Judge?

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

and what if Seabass continues to miss even with Lechler holding??

  • Dakota

Yeah, that could happen, but it is more likely that Jesus returns this season than us going 7-3 to end the year.

  • The_Judge37

At least we get our Team Captain and Emergency QB back.

  • MachoManRandySavage

    Playoffs? cue Jim Mora. Playoffs?

7 sacks. come back down to earth. you got to be able to block in this here game of football son. 7 sacks. no running game to speak of. Playoffs? LOL.

  • The_Judge37

Good, young Punter and the Fastest Decoy in the game.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

    Dumb Trades 101…

  • Prometheus

Pryor said OAK is going to the playoffs!! but he didn’t say when so that could mean 2016…

  • The_Judge37

Like the Matt Flynn Trade? See, we can do Reggie Job

  • http://Raiders.com/ Dan78

No playoffs this year…. Too many un-question answers on the offense

  • Prometheus

so where is the guy getting carjacked in the drawing?

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

You want to trade a good young punter for a guy in his 30s?

  • Prometheus

do u think the Raiders make the playoffs before 2016? not this year, next year is a ? because of the QB situation. 2015 seems to be the earliest possible given that the queefs and dungver look strong. manning has 2 more years at least

  • http://Raiders.com/ Dan78

Pryor was horrible… Too many mistakes…. JV o-line was an embarrassment… Offense looked like fish out of water…

  • The_Judge37

    Yup, complete cluster Fk.

  • Prometheus

why so negative? Pryor already said that OAK is going to the playoffs

  • The_Judge37

And i’d believe him if we had a better GM and HC. But that’s why i’m so negative

  • http://Raiders.com/ Dan78

Don’t think it will happen until 2015… Might be 8-8 next year depends on our QB status and o-line…

  • The_Judge37

Well because unlike Reggie, I’m taking into consideration it’s effects on our Kicker, AKA our main source of offensive points.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

Our GM and HC are both outstanding, and you know it.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

And you want to give those up for a guy in his 30s?
