Shane Lechler ranked 28th in punting net

  • Dakota

Ranked #1 in holding for FGs though….

  • The_Judge37

I was prepared to deal with the Growing pains of Pryor. So the picks vs Indy and KC are going to happen. But I’m not cool with him using one Time out every single half to avoid a Delay of Game.

  • NYCRaider

    Q:
How was Mark’s mood at the end of the season, in your perspective?

    McKenzie:
“Me and Mark, we talk all the time. His concerns were, as mine, how are we
going to get better, mainly offensively

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

Charlie: screw DJ Hayden, Sio Moore and Tyler Wilson. screw Miles Burris (last year) too. Reggie should have drafted Justin Pugh, Terron Armstead & Barrett Jones this year. Brandon Mosley last year. we’d be undefeated entering this bye week, right ??

  • SnBG

Well I agree that Pryor needs to keep playing to get better but he hasn’t out played Palmer but he sure has outplayed JR.

  • 2romes

If a guy like Pryor gets to play ultra conservative with teams like the Texans, Ravens and Seattle I think he would do ok. I think that way because he would not be counted to on to carry the team . They all have good running backs and a solid O line. He would not be looked upon favorably as first choice in these systems solely on his mechanics which I feel is a terrible mistake.

  • dan garcia is super gay

Nonsense. He never earned the job in the first place. He had no pedigree like those guys and he had no record of success like Palmer.

U wanted Flynn gone before he ever had one game and after Pryor plays WORSE, u still want Pryor.

The Pryor Brigade want Pryor. Period. They do t care if they’re hypocrites. They don’t care if their ideas don’t make sense. They don’t care if their criteria differs for everyone, depending on how it helps Pryor.

Ur in love with a man. That’s all u care about.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

We said these exact same things last year about Palmer. He cannot catch his own passes or block for himself or play special teams.

To answer your question: No way Bridgewater beats Kansas City last week.

Again we are a team in rebuild mode (see tarps) so there are many holes that need to be filled in the draft and free agency next year. TP2 still has 10 games to show us why QB should not be on that list.

  • Raidersfan727

Disappoints me as well. Seems like they get out of the huddle late. In fairness to him, check back Patriots vs jets in 2009. Patriots had 4 delay of game penalties against a raucous jets crowd. If it can happen to Brady, it can happen to Pryor

  • SnBG

What are you talking about, yes Pryor has a great atitude but Palmer was a hard worker and supported Pryor. He showed up and put the work in. Pryor likes him some Palmer.

  • The_Judge37

Yeah but it’s not like this was just one road game, it’s happening to him every single game.

  • Raidersfan727

Prior to the season beginning, I watched Matt flynn highlights of his record breaking days. I was not impressed, and rather worried, because it was lots of dink n dunk were the recievers made the plays and not the quarterback, as well as some poor throws. I have watched Pryor in college, and similar issue. The difference? Potential. Let Pryor Play!

  • The_Judge37

i wonder if they have a play clock at practice like they have officials. If they don’t, that’s DA’s bad, because this should be corrected by now.

  • Raidersfan727

I agree, they are very late out of the huddle. I notice they break at about 15 seconds left, which is way too late

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

I would say they are all three similar with crappy win and loss records. The only difference being Pryor is more exciting to watch because of his running ability.

  • SnBG

What’s that got to do with Palmer. They would have kept him if Palmer was willing to restructure his deal again. We where all in fowl moods.

  • 10centsworth

Palmer was/is a technician, depending on all the working parts being oiled. He brought NO attitude to the field. He did NOT lead that team. I’m not anti Palmers, they have their place. He was not a Raider, IMO.

  • SnBG

Charlie, you are so correct. Without the Oline we will not play well. That line must get healthy so we can see where we are at for the draft and FA.

  • The_Judge37

Olson isn’t as bad as Knapp, he calls some nice plays. But he needs to protect this Oline better. He doesn’t call enough screens, misdirections and doesn’t establish the deep ball enough. It’s also up to the OC to slow the defensive pressure

  • dan garcia is super gay

    Crying for nothing personified.

  • http://Raiders.com/ Dan78

Who will be the key free agent Reggie goes after???

  • SnBG

The big difference with the Flynnie games and what Pryor is going through right now is the Oline. GBs Oline has struggled but they are good enough to give Rogers and Flynnie time to make the throws. Our Oline as it is right now is horrid. TP found that out this last week.

  • jumpnjiminy

    Sorta hate the ‘bye’ week…

  • Raidersfan727

I hope he doesn’s just go after one guy. Look at a guy like Revis in Tampa, didnt make all the difference. I hope he builds a great, solid, deep team with all that cap

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

We are a 2-4 team voting my comment down will not change that. If you want to live in unicorn land however be my guest.

Pryor has 10 games to show the front office why they should not draft a QB in April. This will come down to wins and losses whether you like it or not.

If we finish 8-8 we will probably take a DE in the first round if we finish 4-12 it will be a QB.

  • 10centsworth

In your way, honesty at last. I AM talking about nothings…your posts, for the most part. Bingo,

  • The_Judge37

    We need it this time

  • Raidersfan727

Pryor has very similar, almost identical stats to kaepernick this year, but a 2 game win differential. the difference certainly has something to do with the team around them

  • Raidersfan727

    but its so boring :(

  • The_Judge37

If we draft a QB, it will be the wrong decision. Not because Pryor won’t need replacing, but because Reggie can’t do anything but make a wrong decision when it comes to QBs

  • Davy Jones

http://www.nfl.com/videos/oakland-raiders/0ap2000000258567/Week-5-Terrelle-Pryor-highlights Pryor’s first play of the SD game, 40+ pass to Streater for a TD. Not that you’d want to let game film get in the way of your opinion or anything . . .

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

Judge – you’re surprised that the former Jags QB Coach Olson isn’t an all-world play caller when he’s been a complete failure at all 3 of his previous OC stints? (wow, you were drinking the Kool-Aid!)

  • 10centsworth

Hmmm, after ALL you’ve seen, all this talk, all the info in front of your face…a DE? Gee, I see some gaping holes in the O line. Perhaps you overlooked that in your “analysis”?

  • 2romes

I like that style of talk!!!

  • Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

    FIRE REGGIE NOW.

  • Zymurge

An OC can only do so much protection wise when calling static plays before knowing what defensive alignment he’s facing. It takes a QB that uses the call as a base and then makes dynamic adjustments based on what he observes. There’s only one starting QB in the league that I’ve seen regularly not make these calls. He’s the same one that is overwhelmed getting the base call played before the shot clock runs out.

You really can fault the play calling only so much when asking the OC to work with one hand tied behind his back. Given that I think Olson is doing an amazing job.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

I agree he wasted 3 draft picks on QB’s last year. The fact that he chose Flynn shows how little he understands that position.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

it was just a blanket statement….here I will change it for you.

  • http://Raiders.com/ Dan78

Agree… hopefully he can get some decent guys in here… Will definitely need to look at o-line, and offensive weapons…

  • Davy Jones

I like Pryor, but can’t argue with this. Pryor’s play thus far shows that he deserves this year to prove himself, but two more wins won’t cut it. He has to continue to improve to show that he should be the starter going forward.

  • 10centsworth

Don’t change it for me. You have a right to your “pick”. Just asking, that’s all.

  • Charlie

    RR
    FACT:
The vast majority of NFL games are won on the line of scrimmage. If that was not the case then why do Ben and Eli have one win between them this year???
The fact is that we do not have the talent on the line of scrimmage to compete against good teams in the NFL.
Once again this season we have beat bottom tier teams and lost to winning teams.
9-51 against playoff teams over the last ten years losing by an average score of 30-13.
The highest probaility of success in building your lines is use picks in rounds 1-3 to do it.
    (See, Veld, Wiz and Houston).
We need a very good DE and DT. We need two very good guards.
Till we fix the lines we are wasting time even thinking playoffs.
    Everything starts with the lines.

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

It was an example the knit picking in here is insane

  • SnBG

    Pugh is stuggling
Armstead was taking n the 3rd at 75. We have Watson. Watson will be fine.
Jones was taken in the 4th rnd. Big deal. Could work out or not. I like Watson.

  • The_Judge37

No, i was skeptical about him. But he isnt’ as bad as i thought he’d be, just not as good as we need him to be.

  • 10centsworth

Take all the wiggle room you need.

  • The_Judge37

I see, so you don’t really know what you’re talking about.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

you missed the point (and sarcasm). 0/2 Bridges

  • 2romes

That sounds like Manning. You just may be called a clown for you wise observation.
