Raiders-Eagles game sells out, will be televised locally

The Raiders game against the Philadelphia Eagles sold out, and it will be televised locally, a team spokesman said Thursday.
The game begins at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at the Coliseum, as the Raiders aim for their second straight victory and fourth overall. They won only four games all last season.
The Raiders now have sold out all five of their regular-season home games this season and 20 of their past 21 dating to the start of the 2011 season.
The Raiders can gain a sweep of the Pennsylvania teams with a win over the Eagles. Last Sunday, the Raiders beat the Steelers 21-18 as they improved to 3-4.

the Raiders drafted both R. Gallery 1st rd (no.2 overall) , and Jake Groves 2nrd (no.45 overall) with their first 2 picks in the 2004 nfl draft….premium picks no less….Those guys didn’t exactly turn out to be the cornerstones of the Raiders offense.

  • 0ak R8rs

True. I actually have no idea what he takes into account. None of us do. Nor do I disagree w the needs you have laid out. I just don’t think it will happen that way. We will see.

  • 0ak R8rs

Probably as good a definition as any.

  • Charlie: I didn’t “disappear” because you stumped me with all of your vast football knowledge. 10am in Cali is lunchtime here in Podunk. so what’s up? i’m back. still whining about the O-Line i assume?

  • Nick Gancayco

Actually I think we are worse playing with the lead our O gets stagnant. Against indy we were down amd came back and dominated quarts 2-3 and most of 4th. Denver we were down whole game and offense played pretty well in 2nd half just couldnt stop mannin. Against the chiefs nothing went right. Its a crapshoot

  • Thec

Raiders cave the eggles head in..film 11pm sunday

  • Charlie

They also drafted JR with the first pick of the draft.
Does that mean we should never draft a QB with a first round pick again?
We have Oline needs that are rather obvious to most.

As I said earlier we can not afford to spend 7th rounders on the OLine (or Dline) when the Chiefs have spent 60% of their first and second round picks on lineman since 2006.

Just have to get the right guys like we did with Upshaw, Mosebar, Schuh, Lawrence. Not John ,Curt Marsh and Gallery.

  • eastoaklandraider

So the oline doesn’t have a big part of that? You are dumb and those players would tell you the same. you don’t know football.

  • bcz24

Those were scores, not win loss records… lol

  • J Hill

What happened to the side better????

Post an original thought, would ya?

Or are you simply a “replier”????

  • Charlie

    Sorry. John Clay.

  • Anybody think the pigeon will be our secret weapon against Philly again? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2msmYpNXic

  • bcz24

Maybe Mustard can imitate Zach Miller and plod down the field for a 90 minute 80 yard TD run.

  • J Hill

    All right mayne.

    Good luck to you.

  • LOL – the pigeon was a special teams ace. I wonder who he will be lined up with? obviously Huff & Watkins are out.

  • The pigeon is a better special teams player then J Ford.

  • shooting at LAX. omg. stay safe LA Raider fans

  • KoolKell

This Country has gone complete crazy. Most dangerous place in the world.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

    It’s always been this way.

  • KoolKell

No it hasn’t. When I was a kid in Oakland for example back in the 60’s, we fought, didn’t shoot.

  • silver: I would like to “like” your comment about 10 times, if I could…

  • Piratical

Clay pigeons are better than Ford.

  • KoolKell

13 yr old child, shot by Police in Sonoma for Gawd sakes for holding an AK look alike BB gun.

  • Piratical

He could have shot an eye out with that thing!

  • KoolKell

Go to a movie, somebody comes in with a Machine Gun and kills everybody.

No America has NOT always been this way.

  • Pigeon’s legs are thicker than McFaddens….

  • We are turning into the MIddle East…..

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

    Charles Whitman?

  • hwnrdr

Looking back at that play…that was friggen hillarious!

  • KoolKell

    Yes, name another.

  • Jayhawk_Raider

Most dangerous place in the world? I’ll still take the good ol’ USA over any place in the middle east any day.

  • Nick Gancayco

If u really want to be a power runnin game i agree. A rode grating guard is a must. I would also recommend moving reece to TE and bring in a big run blocking fb like the niners have. Miller destroys LBs and CB’sat the point of attack. The holes in sf are big most of the time. Not all the time though

  • Nick Gancayco

Our o line is the softest in the nfl. Maybe not the worst but they are soft. I am still 7 games in waiting for them to blow the defense off the ball. Dmc might not be missing holes but they arent there most of the time an he is getting hit at the LOS mire than half the time. Hard for amy rn to het going when that is happening

  • bcz24

I don’t have the required 33 minutes to watch the whole play…

  • Dakota

    new post

  • rioderek

I regularly meet people abroad who say they’d never consider visiting or migrating to the U.S due to the violence and racism of the nation. The U.S is generally appealing to third world types who see it as an upgrade to their country. While conversely people from developed nations see the U.S as an undesirable place loaded mindless loons, and a bat crazy government.

  • rioderek

I grew up in the East Oakland flatlands (Havenscourt Blvd) in the 60’s and 70’s and never saw a gun or anyone killed. Fighting was routine, but extreme violence was not.

  • 0ak R8rs

Oh. Haha. Nvm then. Seemed kinda odd…….

  • dude, they’re all 2nd and 3rd stringers. what do you expect?

  • JLofty

I was in the bleachers. REALLY twisted. But I’ll stand behind my fuzzy memories….

  • Nick Gancayco

I actually expected worse. They are doing better than most expected. O course it helps to have a mobile/running qb. That doesnt change the fact that they are soft
