Hayden, McFadden, Criner not practicing

Running back Darren McFadden and cornerback D.J. Hayden are among those not on the practice field Friday, making them unlikely to play against the New York Giants.
McFadden hasn’t practiced all week as a result of the aggravated hamstring injury he suffered against the Eagles last Sunday. All indications are, Rashad Jennings will start in place of McFadden on Sunday against the Giants.
It’s also likely that the Raiders will be without nickel cornerback Hayden, backup linebacker Kaluka Maiava and backup wide receiver Juron Criner. None of the three is taking part in practice today. Hayden isn’t even on the field watching.
Also, rookie Menelik Watson is all but assured his first regular-season start at right offensive tackle, given Tony Pashos and Matt McCants, the two that started at right offensive tackle in Oakland’s first eight games, haven’t practiced all week.
Coach Dennis Allen is hesitant to use players in a game if they miss every practice in the lead up to the game.
On the bright side, quarterback Terrelle Pryor, kicker Sebastian Janikowski and wide receiver Rod Streater are going through the paces with their teammates and look ready to roll Sunday.
Backup linebacker Miles Burris also is not taking part in drills today, which marks the second straight day of that being the case. That doesn’t bode well for his being activated to the 53-man roster between now and when the 21-day window expires, at which time the Raiders have to activate Burris, place him on season-ending injured reserve or release the second-year player.

  • Savage!!!!!
Told you people we would miss that guy.

the o line is far worse this year than last in my opinion, pryor is facing pressure in 46.6 of his drop backs, and that is without the blitz most of the time!!!

far worse than what palmer faced

  • Agreed with that. BTW, those same “stats” say Nix is one of the worst players in football, at any position.
My eye test says, TP is getting a little punchy with this O-line thing.
Luck gets pounded on all game, every week, and keeps geting up and stepping up in the pocket and wills his way to wins.
TP HAS to step up in the pocket, deliver the ball and accept he might get decked afterwards. It happens.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I thought he earned his bad rep earlier, but played okay his last couple years. Not great, but acceptable. Don’t know his PFF #’s. Brisiel on one wheel and Smith were abysmal.

  • Smith = trainwreck

luck has also had the benift of having a hall of fame receiver to help groom him until recently.

luck is also has the benefit of 3X the nfl starts that pryor has, last year luck turned it over 19 times so he wasnt immune to young qb struggles

the colts are a far better team with a far better coach as well.

    lest not get crazy here

    no, dummy.

u think blacks are too blind to know the truth and help themselves. being controlled by whitey. in other words, YOU think whitey is too strong and smart for blacks to make it without ur help.

    u sound exactly like strombringer.

black people ARE responsible for their OWN actions, including the music and art they produce, the values they embrace, and the lifestyles they lead.

i believe most black people are capable of helping themselves. u don’t.

  • the beloved dr robert

probably but not “the white man”, which implies all of us are in it together, which i’m sure ur smart enuff to know is ridiculous.

yes, blacks have had an uphill climb, and it sucks, but many have made it, and the embracing of a prison mindset, gangster/player attitude, and pimp/dealer aspirations, passed on thru generations, has continually held back the black community, and until they take responsibility for their own actions, they will never change it. cuz no one is gonna help them.

first off, u think “we are all the same guy”, which is idiotic.

whitlock is an educated, interesting, fair minded and humorous writer.

u fill this board with accusations of “every white person is a suspected supremacist and there’s no way for them to prove otherwise”, and much more whacko nutjob crap.

i dismiss ur take cuz u go off into crazy town, and are clearly a hateful, antagonistic moron.

whitlock is an intellectual. ur a crazed loon.

    big difference.
