Im not saying Cut Pryor….but i wouldnt mind seeing him benched for a few weeks just to see what McGloin has…McGloin may have nothing at all but at least we’d know…

  • RaiderLen

    100%.

  • prometheus

    AWFUL= 132/224 58.9com% 1,559yds 5Td 10Ints 69.0 QBR

  • SR Raider

    Agree 100%

  • 2romes

I know you all want the best for the Raiders except for the white only Raider fan that was here last night. Thanks Dr. Rob. For defending. I know we differ in opinion often but I definitely would not hate you solely for that.

  • fingersrdrs

I agree with that… Yesterdays was another one of those” should’a won” games

  • Gdog

Overlooking the wide open Holmes on the same side of the field is the most terrifying thing to me. It indicates he has ZERO field vision. That should be a TD 10 of 10 times for a NFL QB.

There is NO excuse to not see the entire field in front of you. None.

  • Charlie

    Yadah Yadah Yadah.
Campbell sucked, Palmer sucked, Grads sucked, TP sucks.
Peyton was 3-13 as a rookie.

Put away the pacifier and stop crying.
    Next year ; “Manziel/Bridgewater sucks.”
Till we can block for our QB’s they will ALL suck.

This is why we must and will build the Oline.

Reggie has a four year deal and stays.
DA has a four year deal and he stays.

TP has a concussion and a bad knee after nine effing games and you want to sit him for having happy feet and not progressing with his reads?

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Nor I. Never cared about him one way or the other. If he had it, great. If not, by.
Don’t think his arm is that bad, or his problem. He doesn’t have it.

  • SaintKaufman

    Yeah, pretty much.

  • DJ Johnny

He single handedly CHOKED that game away.
Why should we “develop” him over time? And waste the chance to work with a QB that will actually be good for us and help things turn around?
You “develop” a QB who is a high 1st rounder and one you have invested a great deal in. NOT a 3d round flyer who actually finds ways to choke away fball games.
He isn’t Aikman or Manning and never will be.
Time to move on or you’ll have many more games like yesterday to stew over. Games you have no business losing but find a way despite it all.

  • prometheus

McGloin might be easier to watch but would lose just the same IMO. makes little difference otherwise

  • fingersrdrs

Yes… Id like to sit him for Regressing…. Happy feet dont win games… Completed passes do

  • prometheus

those other QBs could do more than run to the right and lob it downfield.

  • fingersrdrs

He wouldnt be the first Qb to have to sit…

  • Chris in NY

I’d love to see what Hue could do with Pryor as his QB.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

Yes, and I agree with you. But I don’t know that Flynn would be any better.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

That’s what you practice for, game plan for, design plays for, hope for, etc., and there it is and you miss it?
Great QB’s find things when nothing’s there. Okay QBs do sometimes.

But you do not miss that play. Even a misthrow is acceptable. It happens. But to not see it?

  • DJ Johnny

We can make a case that Pryor is even worse than Tebow. At least Tebow has the “clutch” factor going for him.
Tebow takes a 2-6 team and goes 7-2 with a playoff win where he THROWS for 336 yd’s including the game winning TD in OT.
Tebow found ways to WIN as opposed to Pryor who somehow figures out ways to lose despite it being handed to him on a silver platter.
We need WINNERS all the way around.

  • NewEra S&B

He’ll be the first to throw him under when things go wrong.

  • DutchRaid

Queefs are 9-0 with Alex Smith as QB, does anybody think that the Alex Smith that is playing for the Queefs is the same Alex Smith that played in 2005-2010 for the 9ers? Did he become a smarter QB in the last two years on the whiners?

  • SaintKaufman

Well than, lets trade him to Cincy for, well, anything!

  • SaintKaufman

Sorry man, but the line has to be drawn somewhere. Tebow is god awful!! Pryor would be an awesome WR though.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Beat me to it. I’d love to see it too, just not here.

  • Gdog

He came up with 5 mil for Flynn, and 2 mil for CWood… what, 3 mil more for CP?

CP would have beat Jax, Wash, NYG, Pitts, SD, and MAYBE Indy.

That puts us easily in the wildcard hunt.

Nah.. better to save the 3-5 mill for next season!!

  • DutchRaid

Tebow was not playing for the $60M dollar raiders…Is there anything we have that is better than the talent that surronded Tebow? Our FB that isn’t used?

  • SaintKaufman

Be quick or be dead youngin’!

  • aig-raiders

Miserable Monday again. A few thoughts (actually raging anger)
    1. TP is struggling and there is no beating around the bush on this one because the OLine finally plays to what I expect us to play as an nfl team. We were able to push the pocket and get normal rushing yds vs TP playing streetball. 2 sacks can be blamed on the Oline but the other 2 are strictly on TP.
    2. But I lay 90% of my anger toward Olson. All season long I thought Olson got too much credit due to TP street balling. Olson is the worst situational OC I have ever seen. Why? After a long run, we dont ever see a playaction pass. We play the run option to the same side (talk about making it easy for the opposing LB). In critical situations, we go to the pass (our weakest link) vs pounding the rock. We moved the chain yesterday pounding the rock.
    3. This season I pray for us taking the 3 points when we are in scoring position and our OC continually calls passing plays that results in an int or a loss of 30 yds. We win in INdy and NY if we protected those 3 points.

You TP haters can have your buffet. You earned the rights and ridicule. I hate this effin OC.

  • Michael

Never commented on here before but here it goes. Its pretty apparent Pryor isn’t the long term solution at qb. Ever since the kc game the opposing dc’s know how to stop him. Put a spy on him and make him roll left. Never have to bring too much blitz pressure since our oline can’t protect anyway. We need to sign some good free agents for the oline and draft some in the mid round that can learn from the vets. As far as qb goes if like them to draft one but hell when has this franchise ever drafted a decent qb

  • aig-raiders

KC leads the league in punts this year and they are 9-0. Ponder that gents. It’s about workign with what you have as a coach and dont put your QB in position to lose the game for you.

  • prometheus

i guess it’s expectations. posters here buy into the WOTF QB craze but i don’t. if you can’t read the D and fire darts you can’t win thats all it is. legs be dammed. Pryor can’t do those things. Flynn has a better chance of doing it. based on his GB games. we’ll never know,, fug it .. same old raiders

  • fingersrdrs

On another subject…. I was real happy with Jennings production yesterday…. Good job

  • Michael

Oh and guys….mcgloin will get murdered behind this line. If we have any hope of developing him, can’t have him go out there and get hit every down. He will look like a deer in the headlights. Remember when Houston drafted David Carr?

Although I am pretty sick of Pryor running backwards and having our down and distance 40+ yards!!!

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

The last decent QB we drafted was Steve Beuerlein during the Reagan Administration. And Al decided to run him out of town.

  • fingersrdrs

The oline may be getting a few players back soon….thats gotta help

  • DJ Johnny

Fair point and I’m definitely not suggesting we pick Tebow up, but my point was when Denver was down in the 4th Tebow found a way to extract victory from the jaws of defeat many times. He played his best when it was all on the line. He possessed that intangible of winning despite having a lousy arm.
Yesterday, we saw a QB who had a season defining game in the palm of his hands and found a way to pizz it away and when it was STILL there for him to take it…despite his backbreaking gaffe in the 3rd…he wilted and tucked tail and fumbled it away.

  • SR Raider

I tend to blame the HC for this since its been two years of bad O. But I agree that the playcalling has been bad and isnt helping our young QB

  • aig-raiders

No our Oline was more than adequate yesterday. Other than Barnes, we pushed the pocket very well. Gave up 2 sacks that can be blamed on them, which is normal.

  • Chris in NY

I was really hoping we could’ve got this one and treaded water until the oline was back in tact. I actually think a line of Veldheer-Barnes-Wiz-Brisiel-Watson would be really good. That, combined with good D combined with some smoke and mirrors elsewhere could’ve been good enough to put together a nice winning streak. That’s basically what KC is doing.

  • prometheus

queefs are about to get pounded by dungver. UNLESS manning sits

  • Gdog

There is 13 million of dead money between Flynn and CP this year, and neither of them are playing for us.
Meanwhile we don’t have a QB that throw a pea in the ocean right now.

And Reggie sycophants are just going “Well golly whatdoyado??)

Well gee, how about keeping your franchise QB nice and happy? Warts and all…

  • aig-raiders

Agreed SR Raider. The coach is responsible for hiring the OC and he whiffed both years.

  • Michael

At times. But so many freaking times so much pressure would come straight up the middle right away making Pryor do his little 360 spins and heave up a prayer. Run blocking was strong tho

  • Dakota

I think the o-line could be fixed with a few moves that would not require us to use draft picks.
#1 re-sign Veldheer (not perfect but a decent LT)
#2 Sign FA Alex Mack to play C
    #3 Move Wiz to LG
#4 Move Barnes to RG (should not false start as much at guard)
    #5 Watson at RT
I hope Reggie has the green light to spend some of that cap space to keep Veldheer and sign a solid guy like Mack.

  • Gdog

There is currently 13 mill of dead money between Flynn and CP on this years books. Neither of them are playing for us.
    THIRTEEN!
Meanwhile we don’t have a QB that can throw a pea in the ocean.

How did that work out for us, Reggie??

  • aig-raiders

I thought he had plenty of time on those big yardage losses. he needs to throw it away rather than panic and start running around.

  • Michael

Watson has looked good. If u add up all his NFL experience I don’t think it would equal a month yet he is holding his own

  • GhostToThePost

    Sure.
Because it worked out so well in the past.

  • 2romes

I know it seems you can say it thousand ways and some fans think throwing in the most awesome QB in here will catapult the Raiders to Superbowls. Well Raiders fan it takes a well rounded football TEAM to consistently win games in the NFL. That is just how it is.

  • SaintKaufman

I see the TP thing like this. No matter how much I practice, no matter how hard I work, no matter how much I spend on instructors I will NEVER be as good as Steve Vai. NEVER! Very few in the world are, just like NFL QB’s. It’s a TALENT I do not possess. Now, if I was afforded the chance to play with Vai I would instantly drop check my ego at the door and be the best damn bassist I could be. I know how it’s played, I’ve just never dedicated myself to it. I’ve always been the man on the guitar but I would gladly step back just to be part of the band. Get it? He simply does NOT have the arm Talent to play NFL QB. But WR?????
