They weren’t atrocious, but there were a lot of time where Pryor hits the back foot on his drop and a pass rusher is in his lap. If Pryor didn’t make the first two pass rushers miss 95% of the time we’d have already set nan NFL record for most sacks in a season.

  • Michael

In the past 3 years how much total have we given up for Campbell palmer Pryor Tyler Wilson and mcgloin. Scary

  • fingersrdrs

Too Much … And weve got nothing in return

  • GhostToThePost

Ignorant of Reg to cut off his nose to spite his face.
Putting all your eggs in Pryors basket, when his only attribute is running?
Having Palmer this year would not have gotten us to the playoffs.
But it’s one area that we know would have been solid.
If he could have stayed healthy behind that line, that is.

  • prometheus

    Knapp>Olson

  • 2romes

You are right, Alex is known as the football QB manager king with his team backing him up not vice versa

  • Michael

Like what the jets did with that guy brad smith a few years back (I think that was his name?) He was a pretty effective weapon for them

  • Charlie

It is about winning on the line of scrimmage.
You win the majority of those battles and you win the game.

  • Michael

Palmer would have been on ir by week 4

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Thought we had a connection. While I’d pick other guitar heroes, I’ve thought exactly that many times.
I got damn good and had a great time playing clubs. And a better time playing dives. But I don’t have that natural frickin gift.

  • Dakota

    Just since 2007:
    #1 overall pick on Russell
    5th rounder on Campbell
    3rd rounder on Pryor
1st and 2nd rounders on Palmer
    4th rounder on Wilson
    4th rounder on Flynn
At least $60 million in cash.

  • aig-raiders

Charlie, KC vs Buff and Raders vs Giants. Same scenario and one coach didnt let his qb lose the game. The other one did.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

And on an unrelated note, Trayvon Martin’s killer George Zimmerman received over $300,000 in “Legal Defense Fund” donations but has completely stiffed his lawyers. He apparently blew it all on strippers and cocaine or whatever. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/09/11/george-zimmerman-scam/

  • nolarick

Disagree. Regie knew who ever was going to be QB was going to spend the season running for his life. TP2 was a good fit, providing he could turn into a passer. I liked Carson, but I agree with the post below, he would have gotten killed.

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

McCloin’s only chance at being effective is if we were running a WCO. He is accurate (when he gets a chance for reps) and with practice, I do believe all we’ve heard about him suggests he’d be Gannon-like in his intelligence and preparation. The height disadvantage (and yes, it really has been seen in his balls batted down at the line) has to be accounted for in the routes/plays run called for a WCO.

  • DJ Johnny

And what are we left with “at the end of the day”.
We got no jobs, we got no food…OUR PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!

  • Dakota

Seems to be surviving the bad cardinals o-line. He knows how to get rid of the ball quickly. He did so quite often last year….only reason our opponents didn’t have 50 sacks against us.

  • Gdog

26 of it are completely on Reggie. He should have wiped Seymour off the books last year (13 mill saved) and if he had kept CP instead of signing Flynn, we would have a decent QB playing instead of 13 more mill of dead money.

  • Dakota

    Justifiable homicide pays!

  • Gdog

We’d at least be in the playoff hunt keeping CP. He would have beat Wash and NYG .

All we needed is mediocre QBing…

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Is that a quote from something? Or are you going off the deep end?

  • nolarick

I want to see if McGloin has the ability to quick slant and otherwise get the ball out in less than 2.5 seconds. If so, that will really diffuse the 8-9 in the box look that we’ve been getting which will slow the pass rush.

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

Well, let’s not get carried away. First, we’d have to know if he could run routes and catch the ball, catch the ball while being hit too.

  • prometheus
  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

You mean the guy who shot the guy who attacked him.

BTW, it’s Mark O’Meara who is known as the scammer–he has control of the money in the legal defense fund.

  • raider68

Lurker here. I was hoping with the change in the comments format a lot of the raider “fans” in here that always like to spout off would be gone, but alas I was wrong. For the record, we lost because:
    1. Barnes false started
    2. Crawford couldn’t provide punt protection
    3. Pryor threw a dumb int
Was it all Pryors fault? No. Do we have good WRs? No. Do we have a good/healthy OL? No. Is Pryor regressing? Maybe. But you could say the same thing about Kappernick, so shut up and get behind Pryor because he’s our guy and he’s still learning.
My problem we too many people on this board seem to actually want our team to lose just so they can say they were right. I’ve never seen anything like it. Not only is it annoying, but it’s embarassing.

  • Chris in NY

Yeah, I really like what I’ve seen from Watson. I’d go guard shopping in the offseason, but with Veldheer, Watson and Wiz we could be set long term on the edges and in the center. Barnes and Pashos and NcCants would be great backups.

  • Dakota

Bring in Ronald Curry to show him how to transition from QB to WR.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

No, I mean the guy who stalked a teenager even after 911 asked him not to. I mean the guy who got out of his car to confront said teenager when there was ZERO reason to do so. I mean the guy who thought he was in a “Death Wish” movie and was going to make them thar young punks PAY for what they did or whatever. Too bad a young man had to die for Zimmerman to fulfill his Dirty Harry fetish.

  • Dakota

Hope and Change and Lies baby!

  • Charlie

    Dakota;
One injury and your Oline theory blows up.
We need to spend one pick in rounds 1-3 on the Oline.
One on the dline and one on WR.
    Aig;
    Please stop with the OC critique;
Was it Olson’s fault Barnes had a false start on the goal line????
Was it all Knapp’s fault last year with his ZBS?
Was it Hue’s/Saunders fault that our 2011 offense was dominated by the Dolphins. Packers and Chiefs down the stretch?
Players have to make plays and our players are not good enough. Period.

  • DJ Johnny

    The movie “Dumb and Dumber”.
But I may very well be going off the deep end after yesterday.

  • fingersrdrs

    Co signed….

  • Charlie

Palmer would have been on IR by the end of September behind this line with all of the injuries we have had.
TP already has had a concussion and now a bad knee.
I am not saying TP does not need to improve but the stat prior to the Giants was that TP had been sacked or hit on 60% of his throwing attempts!!!!
    Comon.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Screw it. Those that don’t get it, don’t getit.

  • Charlie

We have $50 milion in dead money this year and how much of that is Flynn????

  • DutchRaid

Everything you said is true…more than likely. Except you lied about the 9-11 transcript. Nowhere does the operator tell Zimmerman not to follow Travon. “Sir you do not have to do that,” is not the same thing…

  • Dakota

Huh? That would be the case with any o-line. Teams don’t have two great options at every o-line position.
You are forgetting that we need a QB with our first pick. And a WR and/or a DE in round 2.
I am always for drafting o-line….ask Vegas…..but with one FA signing we could have a solid o-line. There are few options in FA to fix the WR and QB problems.

  • RediaR

    Quick decisions

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

I think the question about our record due to play calling is not the same question as the one of whether TP is likely to be long-term solution to qb. Two different issues. We could be at .500 yet still wonder if we had our qb of the future if he played the same way he’s been playing.
If his knee needs resting to protect him from further injury, he needs to sit this next game or more if it’s slow to get better. If McG. earns the job, okay. If he can’t get it done, once TP is healthy, he should go back in again and have the rest of the year to show if he is the answer.

  • Charlie

    Been saying it all morning.
Palmer sucked. Campbell sucked. Grads sucked. TP sucks. NO!!!!
Manziel/Bridewater or whoever else will suck till WE START BLOCKING FOR OUR QB.
Been saying it since 2002. Need to build our Oline before we will become relevent again.

  • NewEra S&B

Weren’t we looking at Damontre Moore to take in the draft last year? Looks like that came back to bite us.. Lol.

  • Dakota

Embarrassing is talking about guys like Pryor and Flynn like they actually give us a chance to win. Makes our fans look very dumb.

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

The 911 guy said “You do not have to do that”. In police-speak that means DON’T DO IT.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Many said that was going to happen in Ariz. It didn’t. Remember Brisiel on one leg and Willie Smith flanking him last year? Palmer for 4000 plus yds?

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    It’s just that simple.

  • prometheus

you have low standards man. I’m sick of the losing. Pryor isn’t the answer. NFL has already figured him out. scrambles to the right and lob it or runs it.Queefs exposed him and its been downhill since.

  • DutchRaid

Yeah, right…So if Zimmerman was a 70 year old latino woman, who followed Travon, she would have had a @$$ kicing coming to her? She would have deserved to be beaten up? Classy,Duck…

  • The_Civilian_James_Trapp

That was his job nimrod. He was part of neighborhood watch program, where his neighborhood was experiencing robberies. BTW, if you’re going to play Dirty Harry, you don’t call the cops first! That’s something you liberals never get. Also, he had EVERY right to confront him and ask him what he’s doing there. But according to his story, Martin attacked him like the thug he is. A witness said Martin was on top of him pounding his head in the ground. His own dad said that wasn’t his son screaming on the 911 call. The way a NORMAL person acts is say “I’m walking home” HE can even tell Zimmerman to fu** off. And guess what I don’t like Zimmerman, but Trayvon & his tubby girlfriend are why our country is so stupid. All Trayvon’s want to do is drink their lean, do drugs and impregnate as many women as they can….Oh and do you care about the thousands of urban kids that were killed by other kids where no arrest made? Didn’t think so.

  • loyal

Had to decompress after yesterdays game. Am on the fence with pyror……..understand he has a bad line and no receivers…….but can’t justify 3 and 40′s. SO TIRED OF GAMES LIKE THIS.
