    Ugh

  • Goldie7

Super! Thanks Becker, for bringing back superb memories! Good looking out!

  • DJ Johnny

Prayers go out to Todd’s family.
    RIP Raider great.

  • Charlie

    Raider O

    What facts have you offered?

You know nothing about Raider football since you have been a fan about two weeks.

I constantly point out what winning NFL franchises ARE DOING TODAY. The game starts with blocking and tackling.

It is WHAT MR. DAVIS USED TO DO.
It is what we are returning to.
Till we fix the lines we will NEVER be relevent again.
You have the number one team in COLLEGE football for the last two seasons winning because of a massive athletic OLine and you still do not see it ????

  • Goldie7

My prayers and condolences goes out to the Christensen family! Todd you will greatly be missed! Rest In Peace, and tell Mr. Allen Davis in heaven that we miss him very much.

  • Raider O

    RIP TC!!

  • prometheus

you made my list of blogtards. congrats

wow Becker is on top of things!!

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

we need help on both lines AGAIN because we have tried the band aid approach with castoffs like Smith, Gurode, Pashos, Hunter, Tollefson, Carter etc.
    ***
Charlie: so Reggie could have done better, right? nobody forced him to sign those guys are obviously there were better options for the same or similar price

  • prometheus

I’ve had family members die of liver disease, end up with a 12 pound liver. terrible disease,, I’m sorry for Christensen’s family.

  • DJ Johnny

Just curious. Is there ANY team in the NFL that we can agree on that we should be expected to beat who isn’t “much better than their miserable record”?
-3-5 Eagles = “They’re real fast and Chip has that team playing well despite their deceiving record”.
-2-6 Giants = “Eli is still Eli and that front four is still dangerous. Their 2-6 record is very deceptive. We know how hot they can get”.
I think guys would come up with good reasons why we shouldn’t expect to beat Jacksonville if we played em again.
“Well..you know…Cecil Shorts is dangerous and they’re a desperate team…it’s a very tough match up for us”.

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

Look how small all those players on the video look compared to today’s behemoths.

  • The_Judge37

He’ll definetely be remembered as one of the greatest mustaches in Silver n Black History. Pretty good TE too.

  • Charlie

    RR
Not with the lack of picks in 2012 and our cap issues.

  • Charlie

    Boys and Girls.
    Please watch the video.
That is what a real Oline looks like.
    RIP TODD

  • Charlie

    Repeat after me;
The QB should have room to step into his throws.
Not running for his life with a Linebacker and DE draped on his back.

  • Raider O

Our top priorities next draft should be:
QB (IF TP continues to play like the last few games)
    Pass rusher
    WR
    DB
    TE/ RB

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

Remember the years when he had long curly hair flowing under that helmet?

  • SaintKaufman

    Needs more cowbell!

  • prometheus

I would never forgive myself if i repeated after you.

  • Charlie

    Raider O
As your assignment you must watch this video100 times.
QB steps into his throws. QB steps into his throws. QB steps into his throws.
Your ignorance of Oline play is sad. VERY SAD!
    All others- Class dismissed.
Build the lines and the wins will follow.

  • The_Judge37

The QB should have room to step into his throws.
Not running for his life with a Linebacker and DE draped on his back. Hey I got it, I got it, wait… $h!t i lost it. What where you saying again, something about we need more CB’s?

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

Or you would sound 50 IQ points lower

  • http://www.cosmicdanceband.com/ SilverandBlack666

    lmao

  • prometheus

no worries fellas RM couldn’t do as bad as the Browns did in the 2012 Draft 1st round!! trent richardson and Brandon Weeden!! 2 WHIFFS in the 1st round!!!!! Browns are always a “look it’s not so bad” team.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

what does that have to do with signing BETTER castoffs?

  • prometheus

but then i could understand where Charlies “coming from”.. uhhhh no

  • The_Judge37

The browns have TWO first round picks on their Oline, their rise to greatness is imminent.

  • prometheus

It’s been “imminent” for decades. I’m not buying what you’re selling man.

  • Raideraholic

    R.I.P

  • prometheus

GTFO old timer this isn’t 1963. QB is the most important position is all of sports. common sense should finish that thought for you.

  • ben golden

Loved to watch him play. Never seen another quite like him. He will be missed.

  • loyal

Todd hand some great hands. Remember attending many of the home games. Wish we were winning like the old days.

  • The_Judge37

I remember hearing Todd talk about how he, and others, loved playing for Tom Flores. Wish we had a players coach like that.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

love that video of Brandon Myers. fear the hotdog guy !!

  • prometheus

Tom was a great coach and is great on the Radio too.

  • KoolKell

    OMG. R.I.P. Bro.

  • DIRT-LOT FOOTBALL

PLAY’D SPECIAL TEAMS HIS 1ST COUPLE YEARS..WOULD ALWAYS TAKE TIME TO TALK TO THE FANS B4 AND AFTER GAMES..A TRUE PRO..SAD,A LOSS FOR THE RAIDER ORGANISATION AND FANS.

  • SlashNHack

I remember when we signed “toddzilla” (as he was called in a preseason game, where I saw him play football with the Cowboys). I was in doubt that he would fit in with the Raiders.

He is one of my favorite Raiders of the 80′s. The dude was totally clutch and was tough… Great hands too. Always making plays, especially on 3rd down.

Very sorry to see him go. Great announcer too. Very funny and brainy in a a very cool way.

  • KoolKell

I shook Christensen’s hand in 95′. It was soooo squishy. I said “dayum Todd, I thought soft hands was only a figure of speech”. He laughed.

    RIP, Bro.

  • rifflicks

I remember reading about Christensen making a one handed circus catch on the side line at practice, and saying to Al Davis as he trotted by…”That’s why you pay me the big bucks”.
    I don’t think there’s EVER been a T E with better hands.

  • HELLSBELLS

Agree with both of you. But a great line with a crap QB does not work to well. A great QB with a crap line can still make things happen. Need a QB first if you are in position to grab one. Especially when your oline weakness is at guard.

  • Charlie

    Sure Prom.
    The QB is the savior????????
The QB is the most important position in all of sports??????
Not without a great Oline they aren’t.
Just ask Eli and Ben. 3-6.
IT IS A TEAM GAME AND IT STARTS WITH THE LINES.

  • Raider-Fan-inKC

RIP Todd. You’ll surely be missed by your fans in the Raider Nation.

  • HELLSBELLS

Agree with both of you. But a great line with a crap QB does not work to well. A great QB with a crap line can still make things happen. Need a QB first if you are in position to grab one. Especially when your oline weakness is at guard.

Pryor sitting out of practice today because of knee.

  • Raideraholic

    Great news!

Raiders LT Jared Veldheer (triceps, short-term I.R.) returned to practice Wednesday.

Veldheer partially tore his triceps in August. His return to the field starts the 21-day clock for the Raiders to activate him. Veldheer isn’t expected to make his season debut this week against the Texans but could be activated in time for Week 12 or 13. If not, he’ll revert to season-ending injured reserve.

  • Raider O

Big Ben and Eli won 4 SBs with below avg OLs. The moron is clueless!

  • alex7

The Packers, Steelers, Giants, and Saints

Super Bowl winners with below-average to terrible O-lines.

Why? A good QB makes the pre-snap read and gets rid of the ball.

Lions made the playoffs 2 years ago. Why? Ha, not their O-line.

It’s not 1970, guys. You don’t need a dominant o-line, just a dominant QB. It

  • alex7

    I’m thinking steroids.

You look like Hulk Hogan all of a sudden, and then a ligament rips?

    Hmmm.
