Moore could miss Titans game

Denarius Moore missed practice Thursday with a shoulder injury for the second straight day, leaving open the possibility the Raiders will be without their leading receiver when they host the Tennessee Titans.

Moore leads the Raiders with 37 receptions for 569 yards in 10 games with a team-leading five touchdowns.

Also not on the field during the media window were running back Darren McFadden (hamstring) and starting defensive end Jason Hunter (foot).

Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday Moore wouldn’t risk worsening the injury by playing.

“This is going to be something that he’s going to have to deal with as we finish out the season,’’ Allen said. “Whenever he can tolerate the pain and be able to push through it, then he’ll be back up. It’s not a surgery thing or anything like that.’’

– The Raiders have asked for an extension to Friday in order to sell enough tickets to declare a sellout and lift the local television blackout.

The Raiders have sold out their last seven games since their last blackout, which was last Dec. 2 against the Cleveland Browns.

– Moore, running back Darren McFadden (hamstring), defensive end Jason Hunter (foot) and safety Tyvon Branch (ankle) did not practice. Guard Mike Brisiel (ankle/knee), wide receiver Juron Criner (shoulder), Holmes (shoulder), linebacker Kaluka Maiava (ribs), tackle Matt McCants (toe), defensive tackle Daniel Muir (knee) and quarterback Terrelle Pryor (knee) were limited.

Allen said Pryor “moved around well’’ but there was no determination if he would be able to serve as the backup quarterback.

– Wide receiver Tim Brown and guard Steve Wisniewski were among 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Brown was a finalist for the past four years. Wisniewski is a semifinalist for the first time.

You are absolutely right but I think you should look at what Matt McGLoin did in the second half of the Texans game. Without the Rashard Jennings run this would be a very different game.

  • RaidingTexas

So you understand then why some of us would now rather see McGloin than Pryor? I rooted for Pryor since week 17 last season, but I’m just not seeing it happening with him. Time to try something new.

  • loyal

I wonder what % of games McFadden has missed in his nfl career?

  • 10centsworth

Don’t forget the Peace and Freedom party, with Eldridge Cleaver as candidate, endorsed Richard Nixon for Prez. Clearly some convoluted thinking but they thought that would hasten the revolution. Go Panthers!!

  • Theghostronin79

Do you have a membership to a tanning salon Sir?

  • KoolKell

Exactly, I want MM at this point also.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

You sure make the assumption others do rather easily.

  • RaidingTexas

In another comment below, you blamed coaching for second half scoring failures. Which is it? McGloin or the coaching? At least be consistent. You’ll get called out quickly on this blog if you can’t bro.

  • Theghostronin79

Exactly…..Everything works in “Concert” with each other……Running game feeds of the passing and vice versa.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

You’ve posted that umpteen million times swabby.
And yet I never get tired of reading it,
    Snake was really something.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

He’s a jungle boy. Don’t encourage him. He might post a selfie.

  • steveopa

I will say this Pryor will become a great QB with either us or another team. Did you guys see Steve Young in Tampa Bay? He went to the 49ers and became a hall of famer. Pryor is willing to put in work and he will continue to improve.

  • Theghostronin79

I remember the last time you posted that. I know you get a lot of flack in here sometimes, but I have to say…….You seem to call it like you see it, and winning is most important. That I respect

  • SnBG

Huey Newton shock my hand one day when he came to Merritt college for a tour and stopped in the library where I was working as a student. He had a huge entourage but was very nice. He used to teach Psychology at the old Merritt College.

  • KoolKell

    Thanks. Life.

  • SnBG

    OK

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

Yeah, it was pretty much impossible to live up to what Hue gave away.
Not to brag-even though I like to-I came on here at the time and said it was way too much.

  • steveopa

I am just saying that McGLoin didn’t win this game by himself and that Pryor could have had just as good as game with the team key word TEAM playing well. Let’s see what McGloin can do when things don’t go right.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Lousy GM and kind of a jerk. Played damn good ball tho. That’s him in my avatar, blood and mud on the wraps, dinged up helmet.

  • Jon Train

    Its around 25%

  • KoolKell

Never met Huey, but I’ve met Cleaver and Seale. Had lunch with Bobby Seale when he ran for Mayor. My stepmother was a Player in Oakland back then.

  • 10centsworth

I’ll bet the kid doesn’t issue a peep. He’s got character and I’m sure his lifestyle can get by on 400 Gs a year while he continues to make his point.

  • Jim Jesus

I used to listen to Huey Lewis and the News is that the same thing? It’s hip to be square.

  • RaidingTexas

I don’t think anyone here isn’t curious to see how McGloin does in adverse conditions. They’re just tired of watching that same roll out right, stare down the WR, make a bad throw play over and over again.

  • prometheus

    opinions are like azzholes

  • MachoManRandySavage

The D gets a pick 6 vs. Fitz, hopefully in the first half. cover that TE, he is the key to the offense.

Run Jennings hard! Throw those 20 yard outs we missed the first half of the season.

Take care of the ball! we win 2 in a row.

  • bcz24

I appreciate what Pryor has done for us… but let’s not crown every guy who can scramble the next Steve Young. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. Besides, Steve Young is a hall of famer because of how he threw the ball, not because of how he ran.

  • prometheus

are you jon woooah? raider debo maybe? only a few Pryorites left

  • prometheus

yep and i watched the 1TD and 8INTS since then too

  • prometheus

he’s self projecting. racists think other people are like them

    Actual dollars saved was millions.
That was the focus all offseason.

  • bcz24

Are you saying Pryor hasn’t been bailed out by anyone else on the team? Pryor won 3 games by himself… McGloin just happened to by there when the rest of the team won the game… That’s a rational line of thinking.

  • bcz24

His wife bought the goat… they were together when he was stopped for having the goat in a diaper in the back seat.

  • bcz24

You can’t adjust the offense, when the offense is just Pryor running around desperately trying to make things happen. Why do you think you never see TP on the sidelines during the game looking at cut ups with Olsen. Because every play is unique. WR’s aren’t running routes, they are just running around wildly trying to get to a spot where TP can throw them the ball.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I was going to predict(have, actually) that MoJo McG would surprise with a bunch of scampers for 50-60 yards and several 1st downs. However, at Penn he rushed 24 times for -12 yds in ’11 and 59 times for -51 yds in ’12.
But hey, it’ll just catch Tennessee that much more by surprise.
2nd prediction is Ford housing one on a return. Just to piss us off.
In ’11, McG also caught a pass for 16 yards.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

    LoL.

  • RediaR

Kell? You’ve been caught in so many lies, do you think anyone actually believes your claims?
Let’s see. So far you’ve met everyone, and traveled everywhere, while being exposed as a liar on where you went, and who you met.
Previous claim was “I saw Tim Hardaway go by me at 90 mph with his small son, in the Caldecott Tunnel’
Isn’t it kind of impossible to see who shot by you, in a tunnel, much less a small child as well, in a car flying by at 90?

Tell us all how your plane set a record for going from SeaTac to Oak.
You won’t because you know it’s a lie.
    Proceed

  • steveopa

I am just saying how many times have receivers dropped passes with pryor and he had no running game and the defense didn’t force a single turnover until week what 7 or 8. I look at the complete big picture.

  • Theghostronin79

    ^^^^^^ Imposter

He also threw a rock through the window of Raiders HQ’s.
    Straight Yusiel Puig style.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Who said that anyway? Several times.

  • RediaR

    no apologies necessary

  • 10centsworth

    Coward, huh.

  • steveopa

I am not saying Pryor didn’t struggle the last 3-4 games. I am saying that even with him struggling we were still in the game and with McGloin playing a near perfect game we win at the Goaline. We all should temper our expectations of McGloin and not be so hasty to give up on Pryor.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    Wasn’t it a brick?

  • https://twitter.com/MimiPeepeechimi Just Fire Baby

Maybe it was a bag of concrete, who knows.

I don’t know, Newton didn’t break out in song.

  • RediaR

Didn’t he also say Randy Moss saw him coming at him in Safeway parking lot, and Moss ran like hell?
Question is, is there a pic of kell at raiders hq, labeling him a stalker who waits at Safeway?
    inquiring minds want to know

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I remember he said he left as quickly as he could. It was a shuffle by bricking.
