Moore could miss Titans game

Denarius Moore missed practice Thursday with a shoulder injury for the second straight day, leaving open the possibility the Raiders will be without their leading receiver when they host the Tennessee Titans.

Moore leads the Raiders with 37 receptions for 569 yards in 10 games with a team-leading five touchdowns.

Also not on the field during the media window were running back Darren McFadden (hamstring) and starting defensive end Jason Hunter (foot).

Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday Moore wouldn’t risk worsening the injury by playing.

“This is going to be something that he’s going to have to deal with as we finish out the season,’’ Allen said. “Whenever he can tolerate the pain and be able to push through it, then he’ll be back up. It’s not a surgery thing or anything like that.’’

– The Raiders have asked for an extension to Friday in order to sell enough tickets to declare a sellout and lift the local television blackout.

The Raiders have sold out their last seven games since their last blackout, which was last Dec. 2 against the Cleveland Browns.

– Moore, running back Darren McFadden (hamstring), defensive end Jason Hunter (foot) and safety Tyvon Branch (ankle) did not practice. Guard Mike Brisiel (ankle/knee), wide receiver Juron Criner (shoulder), Holmes (shoulder), linebacker Kaluka Maiava (ribs), tackle Matt McCants (toe), defensive tackle Daniel Muir (knee) and quarterback Terrelle Pryor (knee) were limited.

Allen said Pryor “moved around well’’ but there was no determination if he would be able to serve as the backup quarterback.

– Wide receiver Tim Brown and guard Steve Wisniewski were among 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Brown was a finalist for the past four years. Wisniewski is a semifinalist for the first time.

Snake was also a running QB, till he figured out what that did to his hangovers?

  • steveopa

I am glad to see so many people in love with McGloin after one game where all the chips fell perfect. I am calling this now he will struggle against the Titans. The Titans have given up 8 TDs through the air all season. No worries though cause after McGLoin face plants Allen and company will then go back to Pryor.

    LoL

  • RediaR

Any news on the game being sold out or not?
Can not believe a tarped off stadium, with the lowest amount of seats avail, in the NFL, can’t sell out.

  • MEX_GHOST

That negative yards are including the sacks??

  • prometheus

you are an azzhole and a crossposter. hiding on a blog.WOW

  • SnBG

    OK

  • RediaR

you had to go with the ‘white boy’ from Alabama?

Never ever again say you aren’t racist.

  • Orthodoxdj

So you want the Raiders QB to fail. Yeah, you’re a true fan.

  • 10centsworth

That was the standard “theory” of why we were the best 2nd half, come from behind team in football. The first half was spent working off the hangovers. In those daze, they had ashtrays overflowing in the locker room. And the PC crowd on here admire banning drinking on the planes. Geez, when men were men.

  • SnBG

    Did Kell defect from Cuba?

  • SnBG

    It’s Pryors fault.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Here’s where reality trumps fantasy. 2 turnovers in week 3 Denver and 5, yes 5 in his ‘awesome’ San Diego win.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    Week 5 by the way.

    Palmer

  • FuzzBunz

Don’t u mean the Hayward Fault?
    oh, verb, not noun.
    my bad

  • AutumnThunderstorm

Tennessee worst team in the NFL for giving up rushing touchdowns.

  • SnBG

    I stand corrected.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist
  • AutumnThunderstorm

stopping Tennessee on 3rd down will be the key, they are one of the best

  • SnBG

It could be Hayward Beys fault too.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Though that would make sense, wouldn’t it?

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

    For two reasons, no.

  • prometheus

so what other poster does steveopa sound like? cross posters are fun to smoke out

  • steveopa

No I hope I am wrong but my gut is telling me that McGloin will struggle. Our offense moved on the ground versus the Texans. McGloin benefited from a great run game and defense. I think that Pryor deserves the whole season not 8 games.

u say that MCgloin will faceplant will glee that is easily discernible even on a blog but you DON’T WANT him to fail? yeah okay man

  • 10centsworth

He played on a team that many “blue” chips/starters had abandoned. I think the NCAA even gave them the right to transfer…without losing a year of playing time.

  • prometheus

must be hard for him not to type PERIOD…. after every dumbarse comment

  • HELLSBELLS

    Ceahp skate complainers faults.

  • steveopa

No I am not a cross poster I have my opinion and I am entitled to it just like you are.

  • 10centsworth

I can’t believe that after the showing 14 made last week, the fans are sitting on their sofas.

  • SnBG

Shave Fitz’s beard, that will cripple them. We will have our way with them after that.

  • PartyPooper

    I agree Mistic.
    Go for it

  • prometheus

oh sure you’re just a Pryorite that “appears” on the blog after the other Pryorites have left due to being embarrassed. yeah ok man

  • 10centsworth

Made me think of Cleveland, with the crap they have been going thru for decades, still selling out every game. With 20,000 more seats. Ugly challenge to OUR being the best fans.

  • prometheus

what happened to mistic? Pryor was the 2nd coming according to him.. wave of the future BLA BLAH. what a clown

  • 10centsworth

  • prometheus

its coming from the guy that failed recess in school

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

So, you didn’t see well-placed passes from McG dropped?

  • bcz24

You are everything wrong with a certain section of our fanbase, and football fans in general… you would rather be right than have the team win. The funny thing is, wtf has TP done to deserve your undying adoration? Neither of them are going on to be hall of famers, much less pro bowlers, why wouldn’t we roll with the hot hand? Even TP himself said McGloin played really well and earned another chance to play. HE wants whatever brings us W’s, why can’t you?
