Halftime: Raiders 9, Titans 6

Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 24-yard field goal as the Raiders couldn’t capitalize on a drive to the Tennessee 6-yard line but went into halftime with a three-point lead over the Titans.

Matt McGloin scrambled 7 yards for a first down then had back to back completions of 26 and 13 yards to Jamize Olawale and Rashad Jennings to get the Raiders to the 28-yard line. Three rushes for 22 yards by Jennings got the ball Tennessee 6-yard line but McGloin had his fourth pass of the game batted down at the line of scrimmage to set up the field goal attempt.

A blocked punt by Jeremy Stewart and a 23-yard McGloin to Rod Streater pass with four seconds left in the half gave Janikowski a 32-yard attempt, which he missed on the last play of the half.

is it just me or was #88 open running up the seam but never turned back to look for the ball?

  • RaidingTexas

Not sure if he’s the answer, but I’d like to see him with real WRs out there.

  • 2romes

And he is not a good hands guy at that.

  • RTF916

Olson needs to just open it up. First he goes safe. Then he opens it up a little, resulting in success every time. Now he’s doing this hybrid between a perimeter offense with some shots downfield and an Atari, 3 on 3 bunch offense.

  • RockyMountainRaider

Left foot obviously just dont want to adjust to someone new holding

  • SlashNHack

    Jacoby is a punk

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Luck went on 4th and 6 early 2nd half. Failed.

  • aig-raiders

no he wasnt. the inside was covered by safety so he turn to corner and db was there

  • RaidingTexas

Lots of contrarians on this blog.

  • Howard Benner

Of course the Raiders should be up. . .I just lament what will be the obvious conclusion of this game; Fat Bastard lining up for a 46 yard field goal attempt to either win the game or force overtime. . .

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    his stock and trade.

  • Rico Stifler

it looked like he just sat on the route vs trying to get some separation

  • 10centsworth

I think Reese is going to be our RB the rest of this game. I’m ok with that.

  • lefty12

    I agree with that.

  • EMRaiders

it infuriates me that right now the score would be 18-13 if it wasn’t for those missed FGs.

  • aig-raiders

what more do you guys wnt. He going back shoulder, front shoulder and just about everywhere. Just needs to work on passing lane.

  • Raidermarty

The jacoby ford experiment is over

  • RTF916

He was blanketed. Again, 4 passes knocked down and an interception, and just about all of these were in this bunch offense Olson can’t seem to break out of.

  • Alex7

shhhh. if guys catch the ball, we’re winning by 10 and no one is complaining.

  • Chino

I wanna see Jenkins. Screw ford

  • Howard Benner

Jennings probably has a pinched nerve. . .not good. . .

  • Jonathan V.

    Brisel Hurt.

  • RaidingTexas

Defense needs to force a turnover now, take the chance away from TEN.

  • RaidingTexas

    Can’t catch a break with this o-line.

  • RTF916

Should they have caught the ball on those 4 knocked down passes, and the interception? Notice how we’ve succeeded just about every time we’ve stretched it out today and thrown toward the sidelines?

  • 10centsworth

    Its time. OK>

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    Glad Jano straightened out King!

  • Raidersfan727

I just hope this game does not come down to a kickers leg

  • EMRaiders

or maybe the other way around…lol

  • 2romes

He got us down field. I would settle for 2 more field goals

  • EMRaiders

    it already has I’m afraid…

  • Howard Benner

To be fair (mark this down on the calendar) Fat Bastard’s ribs must be theartening his effort to extending all the way through. . .

  • Dakota

So Reggie extended Reece and Jano…..

  • 10centsworth

We’ll forgive him if we win by two.

  • RaidingTexas

Glad Dallas will be on an equally short week for Thanksgiving. They came out of their bye guns blazing.

  • Morilla_00

Dude in the black hole not paying attention, stuffing face with nachos

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    Stewart?

  • Dakota

    Seymour?

  • Back-N-Black

3rd down defense has sucked balls today

  • 10centsworth

Both FBs are showing presence on the field. I think they’ll keep those two out there.

  • Chino

    New post

  • Howard Benner

The Titans offensive coaching staff is doing a good job of keeping the Raiders off babalce. . .makes it hard to contemplate a turnover. . .

  • Howard Benner

    balance

  • lefty12

Haven’t you always said our WRs do just fine?

  • lefty12

Haven’t you always said our WRs do just fine?

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Luck mountingacomeback. Almost 50% and almost 85 yards. For the game. and 3 points.

  • 2romes

I wish I could push the up button a 100 more times on your comment.

  • EMRaiders

mark sanchez?… oh wait, nachos, not hot dogs… my bad.

  • Howard Benner

Any way you slice it don’t see how the Raiders win without a turnover. . .and Fitzpatrick is due. . .this is uncharateristic of him. . .
