McFadden full go at practice, expected to play against Cowboys

Running back Darren McFadden made it through Wednesday’s practice at full strength, prompting the Raiders to list him as questionable for the Dallas Cowboys game.
That seems like a mere formality, given coach Dennis Allen and McFadden expect McFadden to play. McFadden missed all of the past three games and most of the fourth with a hamstring injury.
Defensive tackle Daniel Muir and offensive tackle Menelik Watson also were full go today. Watson is questionable for Thursday’s game, Muir probable.
Wide receiver Denarius Moore (shoulder), strong safety Tyvon Branch (ankle) and defensive end Jason Hunter (foot) will not play against the Cowboys.
The Cowboys also are going into the game short-handed, with linebacker Sean Lee, standout kick returner Dwayne Harris and cornerback Morris Claiborne among the players that won’t play.
The Raiders are on their way to the Oakland Airport right now for the flight to Dallas. They play the second of three Thanksgiving Day games.

Yep – and goes down on shoe string tackles or at any first contact.
Nothing will change- Jennings will be the work horse and use him to rest Jennings or as a receiver which he can actually do quite well

  • Scourge of the East

And then it runs out. Ugh.

  • Jonathan V.

tyler wilson got cut again?? ouch. feel bad for the guy went from potential starter to air qb at practice.

  • Scourge of the East

Mebbe the Raiders have someone else they’re gonna add to the roster at QB and they aren’t telling anyone yet.

jennings reminds me of marshawn in terms of YAC and speed. Also was released by his team and became the franchise back for another. Could be one for us

  • 10centsworth

Raiders have a history of “waiving” starting RBs, knowing other teams would not pick them up and pay them what Al paid. they loved it, hated training camp.

  • Jonathan V.

    they did it for veldheer.

  • Scourge of the East

    Oh, “Scrounge.” Didn’t see it.

  • RaiderLen

They should be talking about Rashad Jennings.

I don’t hardly watch espn…so i’m not in the loop.

  • Scourge of the East

I scrounged around for a moniker and that’s what came of it.

  • Scourge of the East

  • Scourge of the East

Well, all you Raider fans, the Eternal Scrounger (TM) must be off. I’ll check back in later tonight to see if any more Beeech-Tales have been posted. If not….

Kind of cool article on the state of the NFL regarding more injuries (almost all soft tissue type) IR roster turnover than any year before in 2013. That and the lack of player depth/development across board since the NFL Europe went under (especially QB’s,O-lineman and defensive secondary players).

McFadden is going to play??? That insures us the L.

  • RaiderDebo

When was he ever a potential starter??? Forget reading defenses, that dude couldn’t read period! Good riddance.

  • marks hair

listing McFadden as questionable should be standard…

  • marks hair

keep telling me how good that wilson pick was….. smh

  • AutumnThunderstorm

Steve scoops, but allows profootballtalk.com post it before cct or insidebayarea.com?

  • AutumnThunderstorm

We traded back for him, got Murray draft pick out of it. He doesn’t make the team next year no big deal.
Btw, what who whom did we get out of that 4th round pick we traded Randy Moss for?

  • AutumnThunderstorm

with Wilson being cut over Nix and Mady, we know we will be drafting a QB in 2014, whether it’s 1st round or 4th or in between, Raiders will draft a QB in May.

Why? Do the coaching staff really believe that the healthier O Line + Mc Fadden is going to make a difference for the better? 1) O Lineup hasn’t played together yet to gel, and 2) I didn’t really miss DMac at all this past month with the numbers Jennings put up. 3) Need a consistent reliable receiver to actually CATCH the ball.

  • 1960AutumnWind

Fantasy experts are promoting Jennings. Do they know something BSPN does not.

  • RaidingTexas

I doubt it. Maybe in April, but not May.

    Correction BSPN

Raider players with shot at the pro bowl

    Wisneiwski
    Reece
    Jennings
    Streater
    Jones
    Condo
    Houston
    Woodson
    Burnett
    Moore lb
    Roach
    Porter

  • 1960AutumnWind

No its new to extend the offseason drama some more.

  • RaidingTexas

Possibly. Pretty risky to roll the rest of the way with just an UDFA and a guy with a sprained MCL.

  • AutumnThunderstorm

No, they voted to move it back. They’ve wanted to for a while. I like it, less time between draft and training camp.

  • RaidingTexas

Won’t leave much time until OTAs.

  • RaidingTexas

True, but also more time between end of season and the draft.

  • DJ Johnny

I wish DMAC would read this blog to see how the fans really feel about his injured all the time, 3 ypc, pass dropping azz and take it as a challenge to “win us back”.
Or just have an internal desire to leave some sort of legacy before he disappears into NFL nothingness.

  • RaidingTexas

He doesn’t care. Just cashing checks to pay all those baby mommas.

  • DJ Johnny

Those idiots think Al is still alive.

  • RaiderGuy50

Agree- al used to be good at collecting cast offs and making them work.
    Jennings definitely a keeper.

  • Raider O

-Streater, Jennings, Porter, Roach, Burnett, and Moore? No
-Reece, Woodson, Houston, Wiz, and Condo? Maybe.
    -Jones? Absolutely.

  • DJ Johnny

    Nfl “Jetwork”

  • DJ Johnny

Yeah the Jets. It makes sense to cover them since they are such an achieving franchise.
    Still gloating over 1969.
