End 3rd qtr: Raiders 21, Cowboys 21

The Cowboys scored on a 4-yard run by DeMarco Murray and were at the Raiders’ 17-yard line with first-and-10 to open the fourth quarter.

Dallas has gotten a spark from undrafted free agent running back Lance Dunbar, who has rushed for 77 yards in the quarter against a previously stout run defense.

    could be, would make sense

Can’t touch someone that goes where they don’t need roads….

  • 1960AutumnWind

Sarcasm right? Without Peyton last year Saints tanked with their Probowl QB.

  • prometheus

with the 5th pick in the 2014 Nfl Draft the Oak raiders select?…….

  • Michael

Can he catch? Can he run routes? How’s his run blocking? I dunno if he’d be able to learn that all at this level. But he does have a great work ethic I’ll give I’m that

  • BOKNOWS

He can just emulate Randy Moss….He got by on sheer athleticism….

So you know, its boring. alexis and prom king are positively civil. My prognosis? Optimism is seeping in.

    Jim Caldwell agrees.

Sorry I am getting a little slow as the night progresses.

  • Rico Stifler

Team not seasoned enough? They need three years together to get that seasoning? Moore is the only rookie on this defense. Everyone else are vets. They got some seasoning… They closed out some games, barely., but for the most part they tend to roll over at the end. I don’t see where the ” lack of seasoning” is the cause for that….

  • Back-N-Black

lol…. turkey and cold beer can have that effect.

  • BOKNOWS

A seasoned team figures out how to move the chains…..

    Mike Ditka post-McMahon also agrees.

    They are being arcane…by accident.

  • 1960AutumnWind

    Are they trading up? :-)

  • Michael

Serious. Such a great wr when he wanted to be. Too bad he didnt want to here

  • olisa

The frustrating thing about this game is that tale of 2 half’s. I love some of the things Tarver does, you can tell Romo was lost in the 1st half, but then he starts over thinking things ( sending 3). I will be the first to say that the problems on defense stem from lack of pass rush and missed tackles, but as a Def coach you have to accomodate for your teams weaknesses.

  • Rico Stifler

Saying we need to have an old team to move the chains?

  • Michael

Marquese Lee in the 2nd? Assuming Watkins and Evans are gone

  • 1960AutumnWind

You can only mask things for so long…. See this in College ball all the time. Team with far less talent jumps out to lead by exploiting some things on tape and then the more talented team takes them down and pulls away.

  • Back-N-Black

oh yeah, Ditka… that had nothing to do with tanking his draft for a pot head washout RB.

  • DJ Johnny

I wonder why so many coaches have been fired over the years.
Those NFL execs are so brainless.
Don’t they know the coach has nothing to do with success or failure on the field?

  • BOKNOWS

Vets all playing together for the first time bro…..

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I like the first pass to ford when McG committed and saw Ford and the D guy step for step and threw it out of bounds. Then a repeat with Streater and throws so he can make a play.Magic Man knows whats up!

That TE beast from KState, Seymore Upchuck. Under the radar but he isn’t Div II. And starting at TE…UPCHUCK.

  • Rico Stifler

Davante Adams, if he is still there. Lee seems to be getting the injury bug this year.

  • olisa

Its sad to say, but the main reason why I dont want to fire DA, is because I want to keep Sparano, April and Taver for one more year. I think they are legit coordinators.

  • Rico Stifler

So, doesn’t mean they don’t know how to do their jobs…

  • http://facebook.com/Unicron5 Samnificient Jonsey

How does Brian Orakpo, Jacoby Jones and EJ Biggers sound in FA. Then Khalil Mack, Stephon Tuitt and RB Marion Grice in 2014 draft.? Just add Chucky?

  • prometheus

RM would get fired for that pick at 5

  • Rico Stifler

Most of his best passes went to Holmes…

This is just ONE reason this year’s team is different from Raiders teams of the past decade and one reason we have a future:

“Linebacker Kevin Burnett was pointing the finger squarely at himself for a 19-yard pass from Tony Romo to Jason Witten that extended an 87-yard scoring drive that gave the Cowboys a 28-21 lead.

“Witten caught the ball behind the line of scrimmage, but Burnett and Brandian Ross overpursued and neither got a hand on him as Witten broke free to the Oakland 42-yard line.

“Asked where the game turned, Burnett said, ‘Me missing that tackle on third down. I have to be a better tackler, to undertand where my help is. And get them on the ground ‘.”

    Reality :

    - Reggie *chose* to take $50 million in dead money and added another $6.5 million down the toilet with the pathetic signing of Flynch.

    - Reggie fired a good coaching staff and replaced it with one of the worst in the NFL.

    - Reggie has drafted *very* poorly – our first 1st round pick in years? – he frikn passed on 2 of the most dominant DT’s to come into the game (Star and Richardson) in years and took an undersized injury prone CB who will struggle be average at best if not out of the league in 2 years. He even drafted and then cut David Bass to keep 2 punters on the roster? That punter was released the next day and Bass is starting in Chicago and our dline pass rush is atrocious.

    - DA *continues* to be outcoached on a weekly basis and continues to say and do the same things over and over and is showing no signs of improvement.

    - One big reason the team is playing so ‘hard’ is that most are on one year deals auditioning for next season – not because DA is doing anything to *motivate* them otherwise. The players under long term contracts are playing like garbage almost across the board.

    - As for the ‘big money’ next season? 70% of the Raiders roster is on one year deals or in the last years of their contract even with all that money they are going to have to pay big money to keep any of the decent players from this season and then sign alot of (mostly) new players again on 1 year deals – next season will look alot like this one. With the same results.

    - Davis is a joke of an owner, has no idea what he is doing and has committed big money to Reggie and DA – and this team has no real chance of moving to LA or getting a new stadium in Oakland. LA will only happen if he sells which he won’t. He had a chance to share a state of the art stadium in Santa Clara and blew it.

Can’t draft, can’t coach, can’t run an organization. I love this team and have been following for 30 years but this is as low as we’ve *ever* been as an organization and the fact the fans are happy with ‘competing’ (whatever that means) and being ok with losing thinking that we are ‘almost there’ is just another example of that demise.

This organization is *not* improving – it’s hit rock bottom and there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. This team continues to lose, the tarped stadium is half full and the fans are just so sick and tired of it all. And this notion of firing Reggie/DA? Forget it, they are in year 2 of 5 year guaranteed contracts and Davis doesn’t have the money to attract anybody better to come salvage this mess. He wouldn’t know who to hire if he had the money anyway.

Dig in gentlemen, these are the dark days.

I agree, with the stipulation that “talent” is an expression of proficiency, and it is the result of many things, one of which is most crucial: experience.
The team we played made some changes this year, but it’s still basically the team it’s been over the last few years, and it has the same qb it has had for years.
We are a NEW TEAM, in every way and playing as three units–offense, defense, special teams– is difficult enough with injuries, even more difficult when the units themselves are just recently formed.

Its obvious its only function is to park you on here. You have learned to split screen. I’m impressed, can’t have to many resources on hand to feed into this hopper.
