Halftime: Raiders 21, Cowboys 14

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Thursday, November 28th, 2013 at 3:08 pm in Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders were up at halftime but had reason to feel some frustration after letting Dallas drive 73 yards in eight plays for a far-too-easy touchdown with 10 seconds left in the half.

Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin was razor sharp during two second-quarter scoring drives, going 5-for-5 for 81 yards and five first downs on third down throws. Rashad Jennings capped both drives on 1-yard runs.

Dunno, I think Ware tore his helmet off in the first half when he got blocked too hard and there wasn’t even a hint of a referee going to his pocket for a flag. At this point the Raiders are their own worst enemy.

  • jtdxyz

well, it’s on the offense now…YIKES!

  • turf toe

21 unanswered. I have to get off until the game it over.
Need both hands to slap my head at all the bonehead plays.

  • 1960AutumnWind

We can not play them honest. We do not have the horses yet.

  • Ron69

My grandma could have scored, Raiders in pathetic mode

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I know. Not a chance to come back.all hope is lost.

  • lefty12

We have to use a gimmicky defense because we don’t have the talent other teams have.

  • Zymurge

Exactly. The defense is clever enough but lacks the talent to be consistently good.

  • The Big Banana

Simms making a good point. Seemed our D knew exactly what they were running in the first half, calling it out before it even happened.

Now? Completely confused. Second half adjustments? Advantage, Cowboy coaching staff.

Same players playing now that we’re in there in the first half folks.

  • 2romes

What about MCG?. Isn’t he the answer ? Be right. We are behind you.

  • Zymurge

He doesn’t have TP’s athleticism, so he’s not as versatile. TP at DE maybe?

  • 1960AutumnWind

    Does McGloin play safety???

  • olisa

i would agree, except for all the missed tackles.

  • c2e

we need a 15 min drive TD with 2 pt conversion

  • jtdxyz

    exactly

  • funnyfalcon

Just stupid play, sloppy tackling, mental mistakes… those hurt more than calling the wrong play. That last touchdown was a joke.

  • rioderek

Just up or down my comments. Watching the Raiders lose is bad enough. Debating imbeciles completely unbearable

  • 1960AutumnWind

Players make play key play was Whitten on third down juke. An average saftey and LB makes that play.

  • DaMick

    too many missed tackles

  • Zymurge

    Quarter over. New post.

  • rioderek

They’re 6-5 aka average and beatable. The Raiders are simply lacking a quality coach. I played from the age of 10 to college UCSD. You on the other hand have probably been sitting on the couch all your life. Stop replying to me. If you dislike my comments note it with a down strike. You accuse loving losers are annoying.

  • funnyfalcon

    Nice work there.

  • DaMick

    Holmes has looked good today.

  • rioderek

    Poor, uninspiring coaches

  • turf toe

You were either facetious or prescient, Purvis.
