I totally agree, we can get a kings ransome for a top tier signal caller

Everybody excited for that Houston-Jax game tomorrow night?

Looking more and more like free agency RT @NFL_ATL: Bears GM Emery not keen on franchise tagging Jay Cutler

  • DutchRaid

Where is the guy who made the DHB bet?

  • RaiderDebo

In the words of Hue Jackson, I want is to build a bully. Let’s put together a wicked D and run game, THEN draft an athletic young QB to run it all. You see what happens when these finesse, throw-it-100-times-a-game teams run into a bully (Seattle/NO). Total destruction. I want our version of Carolina, SF, Baltimore or Seattle. Jax and Stl are working on their versions.

  • SnBG

You can’t judge Reg on his picks yet other than Flynn. As far as the rest they will show they where worthy of the picks.MM has shown that he can be a gem. What Reg has done with this D is nothing short of a miracle. As far as the prevent it doesn’t work for us but we don’t yet have the front 4 to get it done by themselves without blitzes. The reason we switch up is because we can’t keep blitzing all of the time and the D gets even more tired. As far as a pass rusher, Reg was checking out Houston so he addresses other issues.

  • DutchRaid

Would you sign Cutler? Trade 1st round picks with the Bears (not Cutler related)?

  • Dakota

I only want Cutler if he brings Marshall with him. And an ER crew.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

Andre Johnson is going to own you, son!

  • The_Judge37

Just like we can’t judge Pryor on his passing yet, What Pryor was able to do with this offense is nothing short of a miracle.

  • MachoManRandySavage

LOL! Saw DHB bounce one of the chest on 3rd and long. Reggie Wayne didnt even blink on the sideline.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnnie_Lee_Higgins RaiderRockstar

get him Reggie!! then draft a WR in RD1 #playoffs

  • Charlie

    ????

  • MachoManRandySavage

No to Cutler, I’d rather roll with McGloin.

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

I don’t want Cutler. Lots of mileage on him. Don’t think he’s a leader. has a heck of an arm, but….pass.

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

We aren’t going to the Super Bowl next year. Cutler is expensive. Why waste money or picks on a guy that won’t last for the next few years?

  • DutchRaid

I forget who it was, but there was someone betting $$$ that we would rue the day we cut DHB…somthing like he would have more receiving yards than all the Raiders WRs combined?

  • MachoManRandySavage

Reggie is doing miracles, Pryor is doing miracles… man miracles are so undervalued in the 21st century, 2000 years ago you had to raise the dead. LOL.

  • Charlie

    Debo
That is what the Raiders used to be.
Millen, Davidson, Upshaw, Shell, Lawrence, Long, Keating, Thoms, Hendricks, Otto, Dalby, Mosebar, Sistrunk, Kinlaw etc etc.
Guys that would just pound on you. Run, stop the run and make the QB go down hard.
The media liked to talk about, Stabler and Biltnikoff and Branch.
    (Just like today’s media).
The guys in the trenches drove the ship and are what gave us the intimidation factor.

  • bcz24

No one complained about DJ’s lack of impact when he robbed Rivers of a TD late either.

  • Charlie

We had a bad team yet were paying Hall of Fame money to those clowns. A toxic combination that I have said will take three years to fix, especially given our lack of drfat picks in 2012.

  • bcz24

Our players have really bought in to DA and the coaching staff. It’s obvious. They are still playing hard even though the season is ‘over’. There were no rumblings of dissent when TP lost his job. I wish Gruden would go back into coaching for another team so we can put an end to all this nostalgia nonsense. I hear Flores is available, why not him for HC?

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

A few weeks ago, one of the national announcers, having watched DHB get hit in the hands, then the chest with two perfect passes from Luck in important situations, said with sadness in his voice, “You know, Bey puts in all kinds of time on the JUGS machine, but he has never been able to be consistent in holding the ball….” Then he started to say something else, and stopped. I got the feeling he was going to say, “This guy is done. He can’t catch shyt even though he tries and tries.”

    So true.

(I was wondering what he looks like using the machine. Does he drop those too? Have you seen Cris Carter catch one-handed at a close distance with the ball just sent like a bullet at him? Amazing.)

  • The_Judge37

Well what used to be considered miracles are now pretty normal. For example, Prisoners turn toilet water into wine on a daily basis.

  • Raider O

    Lmao.
    Exactly.
DA’s 8/20 with this talent is nothing short of a miracle.
    Watson: Miracle
    Hayden: Miracle
    Wilson: Miracle

  • AutumnThunderstorm

Houston wins Raiders could get number one overall, trade down for truckload of firsts and seconds.

Jacksonville wins great shot at getting#2 overall trade for a boatload of firsts and seconds.

  • The_Judge37

The fact that Reg and DA are still employed after those track records: MIRACLE

  • R8erEduc8er

    +1

  • Dakota

I think he is a slightly better version of Jeff George.

  • Jim Jesus

    funny lol

  • The_Judge37

What about guys like Tatum, Atkinson, Lester, Skip Thomas and Willie Brown?

  • DutchRaid

So does anybody have any crazy FA Reggie signings? I wouldn’t mind bringing in Mike LeShore or Steven Ridley next year if they are cut or FAs? (Skip Kelly coach em up)!

  • The_Judge37

    Matt Flynn

  • DutchRaid

They were called the Soul Patrol? Good locker room regulators on and off the field. Was it Skip Thomas that was a little bit crazy? Didn’t want to practice with his helmet, cause it messed up his hair?

  • Rifflicks

Like Pryor learning to throw accurately

  • kenchun24

With Mariota a no go for the 2014 draft…returning to Oregon like I thought he would…Hundley and Manziel on deck to see what they decide. I think only Manziel leaves, unless Mora Jr. bolts UCLA for the vacant UW job (his Alma mater) to replace Sarkisian – then maybe Hundley leaves for the upcoming draft.

More importantly, Gal Gadot of Fast and Furious 4/5/6 as the tall femme fatale/girlfriend of Han/heist partner Gisele and the F&F crew was cast as Wonder Woman for the Superman (vs. Batman) sequel.

  • DutchRaid

Field goal Holder or QB coach?

  • disqus_yeZNegncsV

I’m afraid so, yes. Or his learning to go through reads.

  • DutchRaid

At least Pryor isn’t making $10M a year (or in QB pay $20M)…

  • The_Judge37

Cornerback, because of his ability to shutdown WR’s.

  • DutchRaid

Are you still going to the Chiefs game?

  • marks hair

psshh.. dennis all would make a better amazon warrior woman.. more curves.

  • kenchun24

    lol

Gal is very pretty (and tall), but yeah, it’s hard to cast a Amazonian Warrior Princess who is pretty, tall and curvy in the modern Hollyweird land of waifs and shorty’s – Lucy Lawless of Zena in her prime would have worked, Linda Carter though, in my youth – hubba hubba.

  • Charlie

    Judge
Yes. The soul patrol. Problem is I saw Namath make them look silly when he had the time to throw his lasers. Same with Dawson, Griese and Bradshaw. As good as were were we still lost many AFL and AFC championships to teams just as tough and physical as we were.
We were at our best when Ike Lassiter was breaking Namath’s jaw and Griese was getting swallowed up by Ben Davidson.
Till we get back to that level of physical superiority on both lines we will NEVER beat the Ravens, Patriots, Broncos and Seahawks etc.

  • RaiderDebo

I miss all that stuff. Teams like that are built to last. Jim Irsay took a lot of heat for saying he was sick of the old model of having the prized, astronomically-paid QB and offensive skill players and just kind of fill in the rest. Eventually in the playoffs, some team will always derail you with a great pass rush. Happened to the Colst every year but one during Peyton’s career. The one year it didn’t, they played great D and ran the ball. Irsay is smart to try to make his team a power run team that plays great D, the same kind of team Luck ran at Stanford. Not there yet, but if they stick to their guns, it’s gonna pay off.

  • RaiderDebo

Da’rick Rogers is about to replace him. DHB will probably be cut in a few weeks. Rogers is probably gonna turn out to be a huge steal for them. Last week, he smoked Verner and got wide open deep for what should have been a TD, but Luck overthrew him. A very good pickup by those guys.

  • Raiderfusion

Charlie: BUILD THE LINES!!! BUILD THE LINES!!! BUILD THE LINES!!! Obviously that is and always will be my Mantra. When the lines are rock solid it makes the other positions work better on both sides of the ball, even and especially the QB. Bradshaw was made better because he had great linemen in front of him, and his running game was one of his best assets because of an outstanding OLine. Our great teams always had great OLines and DLines, those were our engines. I’m hoping that’s RM’s designs also.

  • The_Judge37

So what you’re saying is, we need guys like Namath, Dawson, Griese or Bradshaw?

  • DutchRaid

I heard they are free agents?

  • The_Judge37

And they’ve been out of football for at least a year, I think you’ve found your “Crazy” Reggie FA signings
