McFadden still unable to practice, Jones, Reece at the ready

Running back Darren McFadden is not at practice today for the second straight day. With time running out on the week, it looks more and more likely that the Raiders are going to rely upon a steady diet of Taiwan Jones and Marcel Reece.
That likelihood increases if Rashad Jennings isn’t able to play against ther New York Jets on Sunday. He is at practice but he still hasn’t passed all the tests required of players that suffer a concussion. He can’t play Sunday unless he passes all the tests as part of the league protocol.
Reece and Jones are getting plenty of work in practice in light of McFadden and Jeremy Stewart not available and the possibility of Jennings not being able to go.

— Wide receiver Denarius Moore (shoulder) also remains out, and he is unlikely to play against the Jets. Andre Holmes likely will get the start opposite Rod Streater, as he did against the Cowboys.
Holmes responded with seven receptions for 136 yards in that game, figures that surprassed his career totals to that point.

— Right guard Mike Brisiel is on the practice fiedl, but he is not taking part in any drills. As was the case Wednesday, Lucas Nix is working at Brisiel’s spot.
The rest of the Raiders line remains the same as it was against the Cowboys, with Jared Veldheer at left tackle, Khalif Barnes at left guard, Stefen Wisniewski at center and Tony Pashos at right tackle.

— Linebacker Miles Burris (toe), defensive end Jason Hunter (foot), offensive tackle Menelik Watson (illness) and strong safety Tyvon Branch (ankle) are at practice.
Branch remains on track to play Sunday, which would mark his first game action since Sept. 15, when he suffered a severe injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars and missed the next 10 games.
Just in time, too, given Usama Young (neck) got hurt against the Cowboys and hasn’t been able to practice yet this week.

    Doesn’t help. Lol.

  • Trying to save his plummeting poll numbers with a softball interview.

  • RaiderLen

We need more Mandela’s and fewer Bush/Obama’s.

  • KoolKell

He’s an intellectual statesman, doesn’t give a schit about 2nd term poll numbers.

    You better accept Hillary, pal.

  • KoolKell

Including Bush in that 3…………….yep. Another genius.

  • RaiderLen

Men that Live the courage of their convictions as opposed to “suits” that read a Teleprompter.

  • Is Jason Kidd going to last as long as Tark the Shark in the NBA?
I think Tark lasted 20 something games.

  • I will vote for her

  • RaiderLen

    Bow down to Oboma….LOL

  • Yup who cares about the people he serves right??
Just keep helping out those lobbyists and political allies.

  • Rico Stifler

I kinda miss Tark the Shark… He had some pretty good teams at Fresno State but he was always getting in trouble with the NCAA…. Shame he couldn’t duplicate the UNLV team he had at CSUF…

  • KoolKell

    You’re being Ridiclous, Romney boy.

  • Did you ever see the 60 minutes feature on his team in Fresno State?
The one that had Skip to my Lou and Chris Herron, and the two guys who held up a frat party with samurai swords?
    That was awesome, lol.

  • Rico Stifler

lol. i can’t remember that. I always liked Herron and Alston. Courtney Alexander too.

I do remember the Dominick Young incident though..

  • RaiderLen

    Hillary good for your business?

  • Raiders for Life

If you look at Jerry’s history, he was the Al Davis of College basketball.

  • Here it is. They also did a fox sports like one hour thing going further into it.

  • Consumer confidence is

  • Raiders for Life

That would be the tatted up center, can’t remember his name but was pretty good. I loved the Boston alcoholic though, he actually played in the NBA.

  • RaiderLen

    Hillary is good for that????

  • Rico Stifler

    Melvin Ely?

  • Rico Stifler

    Ok, cool. thx

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Just a heads up. Clicking on a response takes you to the very top of
    the post. Not just me.

  • It’s the last name

  • Raider_Riff

You had me until this statement.

Theyre all the same. Getting pulled by the same strings no less.

The only “intelligent” voters are the ones that boycott the vote.

Woman, man, black, white, I dont care. All politicians are scum that answer to the highest bidder. Firing squad is what they all deserve.

Fvck em all. Theyve been fvcking us for decades. Burn the banks and burn places like Washington and watch the world become a better place overnight.

  • RaiderLen

So is America that dumbed down?

    We’re doomed.

  • Raider_Riff

Yes. America is that dumbed down.

    JFB has a point.

He’s making lemonade out of lemons. I get it. I just dont subscribe to it.

  • You and I ain’t going to change it.
Just grip it and rip it.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I still have llama’s to attend to. You have a new post.

  • RaiderLen

    Idiocracy Baby!

    Actually like that movie. lol

  • RaiderLen

    I hear it.

    Still hard to accept.

  • There was a better one that was an hour long, I think on Fox sports, showing cool footage of Herron and others.
    Can’t find it on youtube.
Herron is actually a good story. When you have the devil in you with addiction no amount of money, fame, anything can cure it.

  • SnBG

You mean politicians in general. They’re all a bunch of lairs.Bought and sold like cattle at a Texas auction.

  • SnBG

    There you go. Bingo!

  • Rico Stifler

Yeah. I think Herren is a motivational speaker now about his struggles with addiction. It’s a shame that he didn’t get to have the pro career that he could have had. He was a very good ball player….

  • SnBG

Gents and Ladies the only way to make real change is to do it at the grassroots level. Don’t worry about scum bag politicians and create change on your own.

  • SR Raider

Gotta agree with you, Len. More honesty. More action

  • SnBG

WOW, I step away from the blog for a moment and it all goes to hell. Folks get a grip Politics and basketball. Not good for the heart. Stop it, stop it now. Where is Manziel when I need him. He will fix this sinking ship.

  • Rico Stifler

    Nope, Manziel is the iceburg….

  • Kiper Jr was on Mike and Mike this morning and he feels Bridgewater or Manziel won’t go in the top 3, and maybe not until Teddy at #8 and Manziel in the teens.
So I am back to the Watkins bandwagon.

  • the authoritative dr robert

    New post knuckleheads

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    Slower than usual, eh?

  • SnBG

I’ve seen his mock saying that but it’s funny and it could happen but I watched an interview with Kiper about a month ago and he had the biggest man crush on Manziel……….. it was embarasising. That’s the thing about Manziel. His height and press will make him go lower in the first rnd.

  • SnBG

BTW, Kiper has Watkins going 5 overall. We have no chance at him in that case.

  • SnBG

Mayock likes Antonio Smith and he will be a free agent. Interesting prospect for Reg.

  • brad

If it weren’t for DMAC’s Child support! I would say he should retire! He wont be a full season RB ever! not in this league!

  • Just Win Baby

Did Kiper see DJ Hayden going at number 10 last year?

  • Yes sir, very few people’s eyes are open to what’s happening right now, I think their waking up a little, but their still little sheeple. Washington cares about nothing but collecting, it’s all about their jobs on both sides and how much they can waste it. Any other business being run like this, would be closed
