McFadden, Walker still sidelined with injuries

Share

ALAMEDA — Running back Darren McFadden and defensive lineman Vance Walker aren’t at practice again today. That makes it unlikely that either will play against the Kansas City Chiefs.
McFadden missed last game with an ankle injury that he suffered in his return from a three-game absence because of a hamstring injury. Now it’s likely that he’ll miss his sixth game this season Sunday and 29th of his six-year NFL career.
Rashad Jennings is expected back after he missed the New York Jets game with a concussion. Also, Marcel Reece and Taiwan Jones are healthy and ready for action if called upon.
Walker is recovering from a concussion that he suffered against the Jets. He has not been cleared to practice at all this week. Therefore, the odds are long of his making a rapid recovery between now and the Chiefs game.
Wide receiver Denarius Moore is back at practice, showing no effects from practicing the day before for the first time since he injured a shoulder against the Houston Texans on Nov. 17. He missed the past three games.
It remains to be seen how Moore fits into the equation upon his return, given the emergence of Rod Streater as a go-to receiver and Andre Holmes as a viable No. 2.
What is certain is that Moore pushes Jacoby Ford down the depth chart, which makes it a stretch to envision Ford getting many reps. Ford has 13 receptions for 99 yards so far this season.

  • Steve actually knows Walker’s first name!! (unlike Jerry, lol)

Sold out! PlunkforHOF dodges the bullet again.

  • Breaking_Black

Should be interesting to see if the SB being in NY affects the outcome.

  • Ford has 13 receptions for 99 yards so far this season.

Anybody seen Thec? pretty sure he owes me a JLH jersey or a $5 Burger King gift card (whichever is greater)

    LOL…

  • PlunkforHOF

Still can’t believe they banned tailgating.

  • RediaR

Butler disapointed. We didn’t have a Louis Murphy all-star this year. Murphy, Ford, Moore, Streater, Butler. It was lined up perfectly. Oh well.

Vaughn Walker is the N.California judge who ruled against Proposition 8.
wonder why that stuck in Jerry’s head?

  • JOn Wooah

Greg Papa just said a few minutes ago you stick with Reggie and DA, but let see how the season plays out. Stick with DA… and he said “Unless the guy who host Monday night football wants to come back to coaching… or the guy at Stanford wants to make a run at pro coaching”… then you have the talk about having a new HC.”

So pretty much along the lines of most fans. Agreed.

  • rifflicks

Well, write it down,,,,Who, could argue against that….Gospel….even Biblical

ALAMEDA — Darren McFadden was absent as practice got underway Thursday, meaning it’s likely he won’t play against the Kansas City Chiefs and conceivable that he has played his last game as a Raider.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I don’t think we’ll notice the difference Jerry.

  • PlunkforHOF

You need to go to a Hwnrdr tailgate at O.co to see how its done.

  • PlunkforHOF

    Offer’s always open Llamaman.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    And I appreciate it.

  • Gdog

Would that be a NFL first? Someone arrested for firing up a grill?

  • PlunkforHOF

You’d be OK as long as it was inside your car.

  • Davy Jones

Agreed. And I think that’s why Mark Davis mentioned Reggie’s name in his recent interview, but NOT Dennis Allen’s. To keep the option of going with someone else open.

  • Super Bowl crowd isn’t really the tailgating bunch.
Heard most years there isn’t much tailgating anyways.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

So having paid your blog debt, like an honorable man, you’re now out collecting? We must have had one with Palmer.

  • R8erEduc8er

Rivera could be this year’s “Murphy”.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I was just trying to get warm, without wasting gas.

  • Gdog

Have I told the story that at Arrowhead, they actually had to hire people to walk around making sure that when you put your charcoal out, its not under your cars gas tank? I guess some dumb hillbilly blew up a bunch of cars!

  • SnBG

Good afternoon nation. Great fun debating things this morning. Can we keep it up without a big blog fight.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Stopped in KC for gas and let the llamas out to poot. An old guy in a
pickup drove by, looked at the llamas pooting, and said, ‘That’s what we
need around here, some smart pills’ then drove off.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    This is a ‘no p o o p zone’? For fvckssake!

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    Pootbutt’s OK?

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    But not Poopbutt?

  • The Beeeeech Dawg

We all noticed the difference when America stomped England in the American Revolution – no more pale nerds with funny accents whining about their soccer teams

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Poopbutt without the butt is disallowed.

  • Fairly easy to do without the bitter guys around to take it to an uncomfy place.

  • At least we can say shoes again

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

i’ll fill in. You guys even know how to spell Deconstruct?

  • how bad will we beat KC? i’m thinking Sebass goes 1/3 on FG’s , but his lone make in the 1st quarter is the difference in the game.. Raiders 17 KC 14

  • Game-winning TD pass to D-Moore
