The Raiders got within 35-31 only to see Alex Smith hit Jamaal Charles for a 71-yard touchdown pass and Taiwan Jones fumble away the ensuing kickoff, with Smith throwing a 6-yard touchdown pass to Sean McGrath.

Matt McGloin had touchdown passes of 18 yards to Andre Holmes and 14 yards to Mychal Rivera.

    Strange genetics on this guy–ever read about his family history? Bunch of criminals and risk takers, money makers off risk-taking but dumb decisions too (like his ancestor who made all the money wildcatting who didn’t have a will and died young), That’s the kind of genetics that might pay off big or turn right around and be a big bust.

    The odds of getting a decent QB in the second round are very low. Since 2000 only 50% of all the QBs drafted in the first rnd have made it. Think what the % is for 2nd rnd picks. The higher you draft the better the odds are that your QB will succeed.

    For sure…but I still think the guys taken in the first this year (or projected to be) are not gonna be studly…but ya never know.

    Jamaal missed the plane back to KC……fell asleep in the dressing rooms from exhaustion.Reid also told him he didn’t need to launder his uni this week.

    That is the reason so many fans are afraid to have a QB drafted in the first but I say do it.

    I guess I go by most (not all) of the draft-nik talk of “yes there are QB’s but compared to other years no Luck’s/Stafford’s and this is probably not gonna be a Eli/Big Ben/Phyliss Rivers type of year should Teddy/Carr/Manziel go that high too”.

    And of the guys that I like they should be available later, not in the top 10. But it’s still a crapshoot and the Raiders have crap all over so it’s not like I can be picky hehe.
