April official; Raiders list 14 returning coaches

The Raiders made the return of special teams coordinator Bobby April official Friday and released a list 14 assistant coaches that will be back in 2014.

Raiders G.M. McKenzie outlines future plans

General manager Reggie McKenzie told the local media Thursday he saw the Raiders as “a different 4-12 team’’ in 2013, is looking forward to operating with a full draft and salary cap room and outlined some of his philosophies and ideas regarding the future.

Moore honored as top rookie

Outside linebacker Sio Moore was selected to the All-Rookie team by the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie, it was announced Tuesday.
Moore showed promise from the outset for the Raiders this season, and he made a strong case for being recognized as the most productive rookie of the Raiders draft class.
He notched 55 tackles, recorded 4 1/2 sacks and forced one fumble in 15 games. He projects as a core player for the Raiders defense in the coming years.
Moore joined fellow linebackers Kiko Alonso and Alec Ogletree on the PFWA All-Rookie team. The Raiders selected Moore in the third round out of Connecticut.

Raiders sign three more free agents

The only players teams are permitted to sign right now are so-called street free agents, players that weren’t on rosters at the end of the season. The Raiders are busy working that market these days, with word coming down Monday that they signed three more such players.
Those additions are: center Jarrod Shaw, linebacker Frank Beltre and cornerback Neiko Thorpe. Below is there basic information:

Raiders: Sparano is staying on staff

Raiders work out slew of free agents

The Raiders worked out former Atlanta Falcons first-round draft pick Jamaal Anderson, a defensive end, and former New York Jets running back Joe McKnight, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.

Anderson, 27, notched 7 1/2 sacks and forced two fumbles during stints with the Bears, Bengals, Colts and Falcons. McKnight rushed for 502 yards in his first three NFL seasons, primarily as a backup.

The Raiders also worked out the following players: linebacker Frank Beltre, defensive end Donte Paige-Moss, tight end Jordan Thompson, defensive back Neiko Thorpe, linebacker Devan Walker and guard Jarrod Shaw.
