Reece voted second-team All-Pro

By Steve Corkran
Friday, January 3rd, 2014 at 11:26 am in Oakland Raiders.

Fullback Marcel Reece was voted second-team All-Pro on Friday, making him the only Raiders player on the prestigious list of the game’s top players.
The All-Pro team is voted on by 50 writers and broadcasters empaneled by the Associated Press, with one player at each position on the first team. The second team is the best of the rest.
Carolina Panthers fullback Mike Tolbert got the first-team nod. He also was a Pro Bowl selection.
Reece also was the only Raiders player selected to the Pro Bowl this season. It marks his first Pro Bowl selection. He played in the Pro Bowl last season after being voted in as an alternate when starter Vonta Leach backed out because he was getting ready for the Pro Bowl.
Reece rushed for 218 yards and two touchdowns and caught 32 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns this season.

KC lets SD squeak in and now they get to watch them from their couches. Lol.

  • ENGLANDRAIDER

You got the winners in tomorrows races too?

  • DJ Johnny

You’re not blaming Hue for this loss are you?

  • JV.

Bengals blame being on hard knocks for this loss.

  • Twinkle

Are you seriously jealous of a guaranted

  • SlashNHack

    Very ironic lol

  • Breaking_Black

Anybody that blames Hue for this loss must REALLY hate DA.

  • funnyfalcon

Andy Dalton becoming Carson Palmer 2.0?

  • funnyfalcon

    The kiss of death show.

  • Orthodoxdj

Pryor apologists (there are few left) refuse to live in reality. It takes a real QB to have sustained success.

  • AutumnThunderstorm

I guess Detroit will have to wait one more week.

  • funnyfalcon

The better question would be “Who’s less surprised their team choked?”

  • AutumnThunderstorm

Well we’ll know tomorrow regarding our HC situation.

  • JV.

Wisenhunt is out of the question now. Only guys left are from KC cincy or a college coach.

We get to hear marks decision tomorrow or Tuesday.

  • 1960AutumnWind

Needed to get a mani and pedi for the big game…

  • funnyfalcon

It’s the same affinity that the Flynn supporters here have. It’s funny to see Dr. Robert flame Mistic for his allegiance to Pryor when it’s the exact same situation.

  • RaidingTexas

I’m not sure how to be jealous of an adjective.

  • Twinkle

I’m a draft pick of the chef’s…..Safeway please help …I need a job.

  • JV.

@LeviDamien: Hard to believe this is a Chargers team that almost (and should have) lost to the Chiefs backups last week.

  • TrevJo

How is Rivers player of the game for 128 yards passing? What a joke. Damn you Cincy for sucking the one week I cared.

  • RaidingTexas

Partially, yes. Running back play was not good today. Drops, fumbles. That position is what he coaches.
Let me know when teams are lining up to hire that POS coach.

  • 1960AutumnWind

It was a the highlight but last I checked it was the Raiders not Pryor that beat SD. Grasping at straws because straws are all you have left.

  • Twinkle

Gotta be burro’s and the over right JFB?

  • TrevJo

Shannon Sharpe says don’t put it on Marvin Lewis and Jay Gruden, it goes right to Andy Dalton. Can’t argue after watching that game.

  • AutumnThunderstorm

Detroit will need to wait until San Diego either loses to Denver to interview Whisenhut or after the AFC championship game, win or lose as Super Bowl team’s assistants and coordinators are free to interview for a HC gig the first week of the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl.

  • Twinkle

Missing out on the chance to go 0-5 ? Idiots

  • funnyfalcon

The Chiefs are Karma personified. And now we see Cowher complementing his boy Whisenhunt. Is it possible we grabbed the wrong Denver coordinator? Maybe Reggie got confused and thought DA was Mike McCoy? Not that it would matter all that much given our talent gap between us and the Chargers.

  • AutumnThunderstorm

and us, and we defeated them the first time we played

  • DJ Johnny

I’m getting this weird sense you aren’t a fan of Hue Jackson.

  • JV.

“I think we should pick the raiders”

    Said by the devil. Lol

  • SlashNHack

    Dalton blew it…

I noted that Rivers was basically a game manager and avoided the picks that normally destroy the Chargers, like in the game in which we beat them

  • Twinkle

but wait there’s more…dungpile and the dolts in an all out battle to find out which one gets bragging rights to the ar*e whipping the waits for the victor.

  • AutumnThunderstorm

I want to read one of three news reports next week.

    Raiders signed Vehldeer
    Raiders signed Woodson
    Raiders hired Dungy

  • Howard Benner

Even though you are correct I would think that was said by a player on the 1919 Chicago White (Black) Sox. . .LOL

  • RaiderLen

I think DA is back unless MD pulls a Gruden out of the hat.

  • TrevJo

Me too. Specifically the first one.

  • JV.

    Let’s go Rodgers!!!!

  • Twinkle

    isn’t that plagiarism ?…lmfao

  • AutumnThunderstorm

Cincinnati could be in play for drafting Carr with their first round pick.

  • DJ Johnny

Guys bring up that he lost 4 of last 5 and that’s why they hate him, which doesn’t make sense seeing as he went 8-8 with same guys people say Reggie was right to get rid of cuz they sucked so bad.
Going 8-8 with a bunch of overpaid losers who have done nothing since Hue…makes the 8-8 look even better if u look at it that way.
Some just don’t like the guy.

The Palmer trade is a valid complaint I guess.

  • Dakota

I am pretty sure McCoy was Reggie’s first Denver target and he said no thanks….so we moved on to Mr. Personality Dennis Allen.

  • funnyfalcon

I wonder now that the Bengals are done that his clears the way for Jay Gruden?

  • TrevJo

Even with Dalton playing that badly, all Cincinnati had to do was run the ball some and put some pressure up the middle on Rivers. Instead they rushed around the edge, let Rivers step up in the pocket and dink and dunk, and the Bengals called 51 passes to 25 runs despite Dalton playing like Pryor bailing out of the pocket every play.

  • funnyfalcon

    yeesh

  • Dakota

I hope Aaron Rodgers’ boyfriend gets some TV face time!

  • AutumnThunderstorm

I’m going out on a limb here.
Really gonna go for a reach here.

I predict Tom Brady and his team will play Peyton Manning and his team for the AFC Championship to play in the Super Bowl.

  • RaiderLen

    It’s not copyrighted. it’s a community asset.

  • TrevJo

Help me Andrew Luck you’re my only hope.

  • Dakota

    “January 16, 2012 — 1:04 PM

The Oakland Raiders are reportedly seeking permission to interview Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy for their open head coach position. The Associated Press says a person familiar with the team’s search confirmed a report by ESPN that McCoy is up for the job.”

  • Twinkle

It’ll come to you.You want to emulate a loser or you want a Lombardi ?Only point of being there is winning it all every thing else is a wasted opportunity.
