Raiders sign RB Kory Sheets

Raiders press release . . .

The Oakland Raiders have signed RB Kory Sheets, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Wednesday.

Sheets entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with San Francisco in 2009 and spent time on the 49ers’ practice squad before being signed to the active roster of the Miami Dolphins later that season. Sheets was with Miami from 2009-10, appearing in two games and totaling one rush for five yards. After being waived by the Dolphins, the 5-foot-11, 208-pounder spent time on the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers in 2011.

Following his first NFL stint, Sheets played two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League from 2012-13. In his two years in the CFL, Sheets totaled 2,875 rushing yards on 516 attempts (5.6 avg.) and 23 touchdowns. He also added 781 receiving yards on 86 receptions and two touchdowns. Sheets was named the 2013 Grey Cup Most Valuable Player after rushing for a Grey Cup-record 197 yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns in a win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Sheets played four years at Purdue (2005-08), finishing his collegiate career ranked second in school history with 3,341 rushing yards on 664 carries, and holding the school record with 48 rushing touchdowns.

How do you zombies watch the country burn down for 5 years and still cant pull your head out ?

  • FourMoreYears

When we’re eliminated from playoff contention around week 4.

Obama is not a Commie Diktator. He’s just the public face for those on the left that can’t stand that someone else in this country disagrees with their worldview

  • _Mista_

He is a lifelong socialist and marxist. His policy and action speak for itself.

  • iowaraider

What a comeback! A fat joke. That is original

Why does your party think that we did not evolve from apes? or that the earth has been in existence for less than 20K years? and that man and dinosaurs co-existed?

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

Or why does the GOP think that we can cut taxes, keep Medicare and Social Security where they are, increase defense spending, and somehow balance the budget?

  • _Mista_

    My party?
    What is “my” party ?
    Tell me zombie…

  • jumpnjiminy

    Tea party…don’t you know???? dip?

  • _Mista_

Texas does, no income tax and a surplus.

Walker turned Wisconsin around after the union tried to run him out. They have a surplus now too.

Its free to wake yourself up…wont cost you a dime of others tax dollars!

  • _Mista_

I never been to a tea party gathering. But whats wrong with smaller govt and less taxes? You are threatened by that, why ?

  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

If that’s all the tea party was for, nobody would have a problem with it. But then they start in with legislating people’s personal lives and getting us into war after war, blah blah blah.

  • _Mista_

SIte an example of that for us, zombie.

I couldn’t care less. Taxes should be based on ability to pay. I work and pay taxes and DO NOT like welfare cheats, but cutting spending on programs that help (as Reagan once called them) the truly needy is unchristian. And I also hate corporate welfare – more so than the little guy that’s getting away with it anyway…it’s unfair.
It’s embarrassing to me that there are people starving in this country that’s supposedly based on ‘christian’ values.
And this is not communism, I love capitalism, but excessive greed to the point of really hurting others and not giving a damn that it does is what irks me. And no…Obama is not gonna take away your precisous guns either. Heck I gotta handgun I wouldn’t give up for nothing…but AK 47s? We really have the RIGHT to have those in our closets? Gimme a break!

  • You sure seem to want to always attack the GOP and support the left for a guy who is “neutral” and always votes for the Green Party and Independents.

  • Chino

@24BingoCross: Just landed in Indy for the Combine. Looking forward to working the QB drills Sunday. #RaiderNation
Hopefully he can find Reggie’s guy.

    That’s defillipo btw

  • What is this “hockey” you speak of?
    Never heard of it

  • Davy Jones

Your ACA jokes weren’t exactly George Carlin, kettle.

  • Davy Jones

Burn down? You’ve been watching Obama 2016 again, haven’t you. Not exactly the Great Depression out there, time to pump the breaks.

  • Davy Jones

As you continue to reduce the power of government, who fills the power vacuum?

  • Davy Jones
  • Sir Raider Duck, OMS

I’ve never voted for a Green Party candidate in my life.

  • yep forgot about that guy……

People talk about hockey, and spring training, and hoops, and lots of other things as well as about sports here.

You’re really stupid aren’t you? I didn’t post a portion of something and ignore everything else they said about manziel. That was everything they said about Manziel as it was a list of players with the biggest issues heading into the draft.

Also, how am I guilty of plagiarism? I am not passing it off as my own.

  • r8rwill

I find it hard to understand what difference a “new post” makes, the convo is all the same..most of the guys who had SOMETHING to say dont post now.,go figure…

  • Mike_Trail

Agreed. I like Bortles, but we just don’t have time to develop him….and Im not even sure we can develop him because the Raiders have never developed anyone..(in decades)
