Jon Becker

  • Steveopa

Clowney is like the NFL version of Lebron James. He will dominate and make everyone around him better.

  • Steveopa

No the offensive line will he is froto baggons.

  • spiff

don’t have to worry about clowney , he will be a falcon with the 1st. pick of the draft………..

  • NYCRaider

playmaking college QBs struggle to make it as a franchise QB in the NFL. AKA Tommie frazier, Tebow, Vince Young,Flutie, TP2,

  • willy91137

the reason the Texans got rid of Schaub because the fans there hated him he had about 50 death threats they had visions of going to the Super Bowl and all he got was a hot steaming mass

  • Steveopa

Unless we trade up to get him. I know it won’t happen but I can at least dream.

  • iowaraider

That was after he saw Johhny Football’s photo after a hard nights partying in College Station

  • DutchRaid

Remember they surronded his house…yeah and raider fans are bad. Imagine what they would have done to Jamarcus…

  • willy91137

McKenzie is going to do it like they got it in Green Bay get a rookie to put behind Schaub that in study for about two years and see what is got

  • BOKNOWS

    New post ladies….

  • Ted Stosterone

    With his body…no wait…

  • Ted Stosterone

    You got it.

  • willy91137

Them Texans. carry Big guns what got them stop so upset was everybody said that team was ready to go to the Super Bowl and they only won two games raider fans are used to losing nobody says this team going to the playoffs last year they said we wouldn’t win a game hell we one 4

  • Davy Jones

Question is too broad. You might like Manziel but like Watkins or Mack more. That’s me, for instance.

  • DutchRaid

I have to admit DHB could have been one of the elite receivers in the NFL…if receivers could only catch the ball with one hand. I think he had two spectacular catches with one hand. I think the other hand gets in the way…

  • Ted Stosterone

Yeah, plenty of size and speed.

  • 0ak R8rs

You’re assuming none of those 36% would say yes to Clowney of asked the exact same question.

  • LeBronJamesGOAT

Only way you could make that assumption if the same poll was conducted for each player.

  • LeBronJamesGOAT

True however, missing out on other first round talent is not wise.

  • 909RaiderLifer

    Does, ice COLD beer count? I sure could use one or eight about now…(;

  • kenchun24

lol 65% of Raider fans on this blog that say no to Manziel must want 10 more years of a weak, flailing, losing franchise that lost it swagger years ago. Johnny would bring that AND wins back to this milqetoast org ASAP.

  • kenchun24

Yup, yes and I 100% agree.

  • sevensuns

right on……most raider fans are morons

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

You would of helped were you one.

  • 0ak R8rs

No. We want a QB that steps up in the pocket rather than retreats. A QB that can make a second and/or third progression prior to breaking contain. A QB that can play from under center effectively when necessary. A QB that has solid footwork and mechanics, and doesn’t fall off his back foot when throwing. A QB that doesn’t throw it up for grabs when under pressure. In other words, we want a QB that ISNT a Hobbit. What’s incredible is that 35% r actually too stupid to realize that.

  • kenchun24

lol okay to say that Manziel or Bridge or Bortles could not bring any of those qualities to the table eventually is silly. Rookies are rookies. None are finished products at this point. They will have the chance to learn all of those things and improve upon them no?

I think he has potential to take what he already has that is superior to most of these QB’s: guile, grit, moxie, a beautiful and accurate deep ball, plus the “never say die attitude” and flair for the spectacular.

Learning protections: he’s working on it with outside QB guru’s per his 1 hour long Gruden QB camp episode

Reading the field: already showed that in games. Watch the LSU highlights that Manziel haters love to use as a measuring stick that “he will fail for sure no matter what” in the NFL. So many dropped passes by WR’s and Evans included, not to mention Jake Mathews getting beat all game long. One game, his worst game lol

Pro style vs. college offensive formations: BS and Bullocks! 85% of the NFL is pure shotgun formations/spread offense packages

For Manziel in particular I think you have his broken play highlight reel stuck in your brain and hate him for other reasons than his slight stature. Sounds personal almost, if he were to get drafted by Reggie (#5 or later on) hate to think how aggro you would get lol.

  • TrevJo

65% of the time they vote wrong everytime

  • TrevJo

    Aside from long-term QB, it’s:
FS, LT, DE (we only have 2, need at least 3 to rotate), then HB

  • TrevJo

    So Johnny Football

  • Dirk Suave

Um Flutie didn’t struggle. He didn’t get his shot til he won a Canadian title or two. Then he got his shot and showed he shoulda been in NFL from jump. Vince Young has a low football IQ. Still didn’t stop his Titan teams from winning. Tebow only needed someone to believe in him. Elway obviously didn’t even after Denver’s improbable run that year.
I’ve got Luck, Newton and RG3 who disprove your notion. The new age QB has been around a long time. But not until the last few years have they been given a true opportunity. The ones that could’ve done it years ago were moved to WR or DB and sometimes RB because HC’s didn’t know how or want to coach them up.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

Poll: Should the Raiders draft quarterback Johnny Manziel?Yes (34%) No (66%)

I was thinking of a player who could play all three positions :-)
Hope is all you can do living in Beijing. How’s the asthma?

  • turf toe

    I want Jonathan Football.
