Report: Mack signs four-year deal

Khalil Mack will reportedly participate in this weekend’s Raiders rookie minicamp with a signed contract.

ESPN reported Mack had signed, and the Web site spotrac.com posted that Mack’s deal is for four years and $18.676,900 with a signing bonus of just over $11 million. A linebacker out of the University at Buffalo, Mack was the No. 5 pick in the NFL draft.

Draft picks, undrafted rookie free agents and players in on a tryout basis were at the facility Thursday for orientation. The Raiders practice Friday at 2:15 and also on Saturday and Sunday. Friday’s session is open to the media.

Failing to make it with an NFL team, he’ll get a book deal, make the talk show rounds, maybe land a bit part in a soap opera, then fade into the sunset…or, on second thought, over the rainbow.

  • RaiderReloader

If Carr on his 3rd year is coming in talking about how he never learned to throw a football til that offseason, he will havea reduce number of attempted starts.

  • annnoymousasshole

sounds like FACTS. MCG got the offense in the endzone more often while the defense collapsed. go find a QB in NFL history that has posted a winning season with a defense that gives up 35 PPG. go ahead go find one

  • Return

    Makes a huge difference: reps.

  • Return

Pryor had 10 games. That what Carr gets.

  • Return

If Carr is on his tenth game and hasn’t gotten more than 5 or 6 wins ship his azz out. No more excuses right?

  • 2romes

MCG Was losing QB in the scenario you mentioned. I would be worth looking up if he was a winning a QB in that scenario.

  • annnoymousasshole

peyton manning would lose with a defense giving up 5 tds a game.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

You got it bad tonight, don’t you?

For me, Carr is talent/potential wise much better than McGloin and therefore will quickly be labeled as the number 2 QB. IMO it really can’t go any other way and if not via talent alone the management will want to make a statement. As the 2nd QB Carr will be in the position to be knocking on the starting spot door all year long, which if that doesn’t make Schaub better and fear for his job, nothing will. It’s called competition and will make our QB position better.

  • Return

Getting a little misty yourself for your little white Rudy McGloin?

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

    Something happen to Quick Draw?

  • RaiderReloader

Gms use more common sense than that.

Obviously if you are losing due to the QB throwing to the wrong team, and rolling right every down you take one set of actions, vs a loss due to other factors.

Your posts are so agenda filled they lack common sense, or any glimmer of thinking outside of a rolling your own poo into balls in the corner agenda

  • DJ Johnny

I think you’re thinking of a different play.

  • RaiderReloader

Mystic/Return is not here for football, he jsut wants to fight

  • RaiderReloader

I agree you play with your own poo, are not here to talk football, and are a Racist

  • Return

No your post just showed how into denial and snowblinded you are.

“Obviously if you are losing due to the QB throwing to the wrong team,”

That is the definition of McGloin, benched in favor of he who rolls right. McGloin went on a 5 game losing skid throwing the ball to the other team and yet they choose to keep him.

Now again YOU set the rules. You lecture me on protocols and GM common sense yet you have trouble seeing the disconnect between what you say and what you think.

Yep. Tell me some more about agenda. My agenda is to try and demonstrate to many of you just how GWH’ed you are ans swear up and down it’s the other guy whose racist.

  • DJ Johnny

This is assuming we’re losing and Schaub is crapping the bed.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

2-To win consistently in the NFL, you must be solid at the quarterback position. We were able to significantly upgrade our talent, giving us genuine experience and more depth that will give us an important advantage throughout the season. We have a proven veteran that has been a top 10 quarterback in this league, as well as players at quarterback with tremendous potential and promise as we build toward the future.

That you for your support. It means everything to us.

    Go Raiders!

Like most racists you are consumed with fear and ignorance which you project on to others.

Its time to let it go and enjoy some football.

  • DJ Johnny

There have been QB’s who played well their rookie yr’s and their teams won. Roethlisberger of course and Russell Wilson recently. Andrew Luck comes to mind as well…heck add in RG3 too. It happens nowadays.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

No need to assume anything. Nothing special about that game.

  • Return

Not fearful and certainly not ignorant. I’d say I was more quick and insightful evidenced by my immediately catching your silliness about throwing the ball to the other team. I think you got footballs and poo balls confused. If you want to engage me you can’t be slow or silly or weak in logic. I know you thought you were being clever but all you did was expose your agenda. Now you want to try again?

  • jesusraiderjim

I agree to a point. I guess I like McG and would like him to get a shot, if not with us with someone. A trade to the Texans would suit me fine for his sake. I really just want what is best for the team and maybe him being #3 would be okay in case of emergency.

  • Dan Walker

i agree with this. Personal beliefs, however important they are, shouldn’t come into this blog but just to easy to state your case here. Lots of agenda, good bad or indifferent. Would rather the EXTREMELY negative opinions go away…not those who have a beef or something of quality to say but those who can’t find anything positive in life and feel the need to dump it here.

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

I understand now why you weren’t engaging me.

  • Raider O

Too bad. I wanted us to sign Miles Austin

  • DJ Johnny

Preseason will be huge in determining who will be the backup QB. It was last yr. It’s Schaubs job to lose…but I believe he CAN lose it if he plays badly and Carr and/or McGloin play well.
I don’t think that Schaub will play badly though.

  • bug squasher

Yeah that would of been nice.

  • bug squasher

Schaub will have a big year. I expect him to do well.

  • DJ Johnny

Yeah. We’ll find out. Preseason will once again be a must see this yr.

  • RaiderReloader

Your fear consumes you, you keep rolling to right. lol

  • Purvisman/Eternal Optimist

New post, by the way. Well, an hour ago.

  • Return

Hey everything’s gravy. I’m agreeing with you. These black people keep making excuses for black qb’s. Enough !!!!!

    No more excuses.

Just like that dummy Pryor who always rolled to his right and was a loser Carr will get 9 or 10 games to prove himself. H got to win at least 5or 6 games.

    ..

  • Return

    Haaaaa!! Talk about predictable.

Just about the time when whoever started lecturing us oh how black people make excuses for black qb’s.

  • Howard Benner

The reason I went the Smith & Harrington route is they both were first round draft picks.

Masoli & Dixon were QB projects that couldn’t develop into competent NFL QB’s. Even though Clemons was a second round pick he is a lot like Kyle Boller; fine physical skill set but doesn’t process the defense well enough & eventually will throw the killer pick. . .not quite as strong an arm as Boller but more than adequate. . .

  • DKnight007

Either would have been nice. What about Santonio?

  • bug squasher

I pass on santonio. I think he is still hurt anyway

  • bug squasher

Now that the clips are out I wonder what’s going to happen with the sterling thing?

  • bug squasher
