Raiders keeping it quiet

The Raiders confirmed a waiver claim Sunday of Benson Mayowa from the Seattle Seahawks, and the corresponding release of linebacker Kaelin Burnett, but nothing else.

An announcement is planned Monday regarding the 10-member practice squad, which will likely include a handful of players who were with the club but did not make the 53-man roster.

Among the transactions or potential transactions being reported from media outlets regarding Raiders players or those players cut by the Raiders:

– Tight end Scott Simonson, an Assumption College All-American tight end, will be on the Raiders practice squad.

– Safety Brandian Ross, a 13-game starter last season in after Tyvon Branch was sidelined with a broken ankle but released Satruday, was claimed by the Miami Dolphins, according to the Palm Beach Post.

– Defensive end Jack Crawford, waived Saturday, will be added to the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster Tuesday, according to the Ft. Worth Star Telegram.

The Raiders don’t practice until late Monday afternoon, at which time they will have divulged their practice squad. The status of quarterback Matt Schaub remains in question after he missed three practice sessions and the preseason finale against Seattle with a sore throwing elbow.

Carr may ramp up that timeline significantly.

    DL is the same way.

Yes. And Reggie’s plan of bringing in solid vets while developing youngsters becomes evident.

the right QB is the key so he could. looks like Mckenzie just about has this turned around. QB, Oline looks good, front 7 on D is solid. some holes in the secondary but every team has holes

My assessment as well. And I think wrs and young secondary and Murray may complete the picture.

Much obliged sir. The first game I have watched this season.

I don’t even count his 2012 draft. He had AD’s crusty old scouts and just got here

  • JD

yeah secondary has been the hardest to fix. a big play WR is a need. like to see if Moore can be that guy with a QB that can deliver the ball

    NEW POST…….

The Giants of late show up when it counts.

  • the super genius dr robert

Only bergs and Burris left. Although that makes some sense. No top of the draft. A couple mid round guys competing and adding depth as backups and the late rounders faded away.

  • mikeschoice

He also had to build a draft room with a board. Before it was als head

good QB for the chiefs but he’s not elite. glad he signed there makes the queefs predictable

nothing an upstart young quarterback and couple shocking wins can;t change. If Oakland starts Carr I have no doubt it will come true
