Raiders bring back DE C.J. Wilson

Share

After looking outside the organization since the start of free agency, the Raiders brought back one of their own Wednesday with the signing of defensive end C.J. Wilson.

The Raiders made no official announcement, but Wilson did the honors on his Twitter account.

Wilson (6-foot-3, 300 pounds) played in 16 games with seven starts last season, registering 34 tackles and a pair of sacks. Wilson also had returned a fumble 21 yards on Dec. 14 against Kansas City.

Since free agency began, the Raiders signed 10 free agents _ none of whom played with the team last season. Wilson was the first free agent brought back to the team.

Wilson joins Justin Tuck, Benson Mayowa, Denico Autry and Shelby Harris as defensive ends under contract for the Raiders in 2015.

Will be entering the NFL with 1 strike…

  • marks hair

Helu and the smith’s are C grades too.

  • RaYdAFoELyPh

Since this is Reggies last year. Who will be his replacement? Thoughts?

  • Jack Hammer

Randy Gregory is a member of the Green Party? does that make YOU PEOPLE want to draft him more?

  • marks hair

and he’s going to be smoking a lot of weed to compensate with the fact that he’s not good enough to be a starter.

  • DutchRaid

Did you hear the story? NFL sent a letter to his house, told his Dad to open it b/c he thought it was a draft invite…nope. So sad.

  • inonewordraider

any soccer fans? rocking raider gear at the real madrid barcelona game

  • Davy Jones

Didn’t even mention my favorite signing, Helu. And a B for Trent Richardson? The only way he’s better than McFadden is he’s younger. Knock all those letter grades down by one and you’re closer.

  • JR92

The guy is retarded. All he had to do is not smoke for a few weeks.

  • DutchRaid

Do you remember the running back from Colorado who was drafted by the Chicago Bears…dude smoked his way out of the NFL.

  • inonewordraider

not a 4-3 end, can’t cover in a 3-4, situational pass rusher? sure in the 5th round

  • marks hair

Months. that’s why he failed the third test. He still had pot in his system because he was smoking so much. They don’t realize it takes at least a month to get it all out sometimes 3

  • Davy Jones

    Seems about right.

  • marks hair

Rules are rules. if you want privileges don’t break the rules. Or at least learn how not to get caught..

  • JR92

If your overweight then yes. But the guy has hardly any body fat, and he worked out like crazy to prepare for the combine.

  • TrevJo

    Go (Seattle) Sounders! F*ck Madrid

  • Davy Jones

Cooper in 1, Gregory in 2? I’d do that.

  • Jack Hammer

that’s awesome..but to answer your question? No

  • marks hair

we pick at number four. Reggie can get a receiver if he wants one he doesn’t have to wait until around 2.

  • DutchRaid

Would anybody want to use this year’s second round pick and next year’s second/3rd round pick to move up into the 1st round this year? 2 first round picks?

  • Jack Hammer

not a fit for JDR/Norton then, eh?

  • TrevJo

I don’t at all trust WRs that don’t have a lot of receptions in college and are known for bad routes and bad hands. Especially in the early rounds, where Perriman is projected to go.

  • marks hair

He still failed. it takes a long time to get out of your system its not like cocaine

  • Dan78

Matt Millen…. He will definitely get us a WR in the 1st…..

  • Jack Hammer

next year will be his last year. He’s making 1 million guaranteed salary this year & next. Then Mark Davis will evaluate his 5 year performance and likely give him the boot if our 2015 & 2016 seasons look anything like the last 3 …

  • Marley Bob

I mean us fans mark not Reggie, of course he can grab the top guy at 4…but will he?

  • inonewordraider

pure pass rusher but needs to learn how to cover or i don’t see how he makes it in the nfl

  • DutchRaid

No…it was bad, not rules, dude would be too high to practice…I went to Lake Forest College in Chicago, we shared our facility with the Bears. Had a couple friends that worked as Interns…

  • inonewordraider

    1. white
    2. best avail between a. strong b. perryman c. kendricks d. orchard e. d smith

  • Marley Bob

    Valid points

  • TrevJo

Helu is exactly what we need. Excellent scat back who can carry the ball effectively too. We’ve had atrocious receivers at HB for a long time.

  • TrevJo

Yeah. I’d have given Allen a lower grade but anything that pushes Ross further away from being the second-best safety on the team is a plus to some degree.

  • marks hair

    Probably not

  • TrevJo

Hater-sounding stats gonna sound like hater stats.

  • marks hair

    Ross is = to Allen

  • JR92

A team desperate for a QB?

  • 619raider

    Dion Jordan 2.0

  • marks hair

    Same goes for Rd 2.

  • DutchRaid

CJ Wilson and Gregory splitting time at DE would be pretty awesome on paper….
3rd and long…Gregory, A. Smith, Tuck and Mack!

  • RAY NJ

    New post.

  • RaiderNik

Maybe our first and 2nd round picks this year, for browns 2 first would not be a bad trade.

  • Dan78

    New Pop Tart…

  • Mike_Trail

Absolutely! Had a lifetime to save up for em…!

  • The Ghost of Dave Casper

Um… the hashtag. Reggie’s list of terrible players won’t fit on a t-shirt, unless you do one of those rock concert tour things on the back.

As somebody with a medical background it tells me that they “think” he was breathing normally. There are no hard facts for this. I see people who are breathing “normally” quite often who are not well and close to the end. It all seems to neat.

  • OttoDoubleZero

Dante Fowler is better. Besides, I cannot stand tree huggers…

  • krawf32901

    he was lying…

  • Mike_Trail

The Pilot who was banging on the door to get it open was trying to override the lock since they have the code. The co-pilot who locked the guy out had to actively and consistently continue to hit a button to override the pilot who was trying to get in. Essentially He continued to override the override so the pilot could not get in. He set the autopilot to 97 feet and kept the pilot out of the cockpit.
How can you possibly explain that other than he did it on purpose?

  • LavXolm

Well, the city of Oakland is still on the hook for 100+ $million from the construction of “Mt. Davis.”
    OUch!
Oakland (the city and people) has many, many needs.

I very much want them to stay too, but…
