Davis pledges his $500 million to Las Vegas project

davisRaiders owner Mark Davis pledged $500 million toward a potential stadium deal in Las Vegas that could send the team the gambling mecca.

Davis was in Las Vegas on Thursday morning, where he appeared alongside soccer great David Beckham and casino owner Sheldon Adelson for a committee meeting to study a proposed $1.4 billion stadium that could be shared by the UNLV football team and the Raiders.

Davis has steadily maintained that he can offer $300 million toward a stadium project, including in Oakland. The NFL can offer $200 million through its G-4 loan program to push that to the half-billion total Davis pledged to Las Vegas. However, if the team were to build a stadium in Oakland, the Raiders would get an extra $100 million to create a $600 total contribution from the team.

Here’s our story from Las Vegas from reporter David DeBolt. Keep checking back on that link for updates.

Jack Del Rio saying Joseph is a ball hawk and playmaker, takes great angles, is a hitter and much more. Says all the reports on the knee were good.

“He has some Bob Sanders style flash” and has “superb instincts.”

Announcers say Del Rio hasn’t stopped smiling since he walked into the studio and Del Rio says he feels like a kid at Christmas.

What was Reggie thinking with the 2nd and 3rd round picks. There were so many more worthy picks available at the time. Both these guys show to have injuries issues that may need surgeries. You think Reggie would have learned a little something after Hayden.
