Raiders owner Mark Davis pledged $500 million toward a potential stadium deal in Las Vegas that could send the team the gambling mecca.
Davis was in Las Vegas on Thursday morning, where he appeared alongside soccer great David Beckham and casino owner Sheldon Adelson for a committee meeting to study a proposed $1.4 billion stadium that could be shared by the UNLV football team and the Raiders.
Davis has steadily maintained that he can offer $300 million toward a stadium project, including in Oakland. The NFL can offer $200 million through its G-4 loan program to push that to the half-billion total Davis pledged to Las Vegas. However, if the team were to build a stadium in Oakland, the Raiders would get an extra $100 million to create a $600 total contribution from the team.
