Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper was not participating in Tuesday’s full-padded practice.
Cooper was on the field and stretched with the team, but was wearing shorts and a hooded sweatshirt underneath his jersey. He did not have a helmet.
The Raiders’ second-year receiver, who had 72 catches for 1,070 yards and six touchdowns last season, watched as the team went through individual drills during the portion of practice open to the media.
The team is not required to give injury updates or status reports until the start of the regular season and Del Rio’s media availability occurred before the team’s practice.
* Safety Reggie Nelson spent the open period of practice working on the side with a trainer. Nelson had three tackles in 33 snaps in the team’s preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday.
* Rookie running back Jalen Richard was back practicing Tuesday for the first time in two weeks. He reportedly had a knee scoped and missed the first two preseason games of the year. He’s impressed the Raiders since earning a contract after a solid rookie tryout and is considered a decent candidate to make the 53-man roster.
