Same reason people who mention the crusades as a way to knock Christianity are reaching.

Ur talking to someone who is adamantly anti racist.

I’m just also adamantly anti agenda driven buffoonery.

Can you change the past? Can you control a highly unpredictable future? If you answered yes to either of these questions then you are a delusional, mental health patient that I have no need to continue any form of dialogue with.

Now that we are back to our regularly scheduled program, lets focus on the things we can control in the present, the moment we can hone in on that is the moment we can progress as a diverse nation, until then, nothing but dissension will plague us.

  • once we make up for the past and then follow it with treating everyone equally, maybe we will.

  • No one is protesting life. What’s being protested is that our government says all men are created equal, but our government does not treat all men that way often due to skin color.

  • it’s easy to be anti racist. It’s not as easy to stand up for it in public.

  • the authority dr robert

This is why ur argument is so ridiculous.

U want equality by going to the other extreme for an equal amount of time, as if that makes sense.

We are here. Now. The nation isn’t what it was.

It’s like saying we need to make 90 years of silent films to “even the score”.

  • Oak R8rs33.01

That’s not it, to the last part. Maybe to some, but not to all.

  • the authority dr robert

    Ur right.

And I said I’m basically with him.

  • Teabag McKenz

It’s a lot less about skin color and a lot more about culture, the statistics prove that over and over again when it comes to all sorts of %’s for racial disparity.

  • it’s really easy to say forget the past when it’s not you that was hurt. Plus it’s not just the past. It’s the present as well. The past needs to be understood to fully realize how we got to this ugly point in time.

  • the authority dr robert

Ur living in the past. A past that simply doesn’t exist anymore.

It’s like talking about pre-electricity as if it’s relevant.

  • 2romes

I think the soccer guy Beckham is a Raider fan. If so, how cool is that?

  • no. i’m just pointing out that simply electing a black president doesn’t suddenly erase everything and make it all equal.

  • the authority dr robert

    Welcome to thunderdome!

  • so what are we even arguing about?

  • the past is very much alive and well in many parts of this country.

  • R8der4evr

    OCo agrees

  • i’d like to get into that actually. however, i gotta bounce. we’ll save it. good debating with you man.

  • the authority dr robert

Most of us are aware that slavery existed. We get it.

And most people alive today we’re not ever slaves.

Update ur argument to talk about today.

There are problems. But 400 years ago really isn’t necessary to discuss.

Ur not making any big statement.

  • Teabag McKenz

it’s really easy to say forget the past when it’s not you that was hurt

Did you live back in the 1800’s and endure such undue hardships? Because it sure is hard for me to have any sympathy for folks in the modern world who expect to be catered to because of things in the past beyond our control.

Our history as a species is littered with inequality, that will never change, despite some folks belief that a Utopian Society is remotely possible.

  • i’m sure you’re responding to something, but i gotta run. re shun.

  • the authority dr robert

I’m just giving u crap for how u do things.

  • the authority dr robert

No but it dies say talking about slavery is pointless.

    It’s archaic.

  • i like the way i do things and i trust it and i’m proud of it. good night.

  • the authority dr robert

    Good job white warrior!

  • the past is what brought us here man. this country has been stepping on black people for 400 years. just because it looks different doesn’t mean it’s gone.

  • Teabag McKenz

As always, have a safe night.

  • the authority dr robert

Yeah sure it is. In all of those slave states.

  • cheers.

  • the authority dr robert

    See? Totally relevant.

  • the authority dr robert

    Rme

    GAlll drops a TD.

  • the authority dr robert

Ok I’m watching the first act of Ozu’s “Late Spring”, a classic Japanese masterpiece from 49.

How come no one is discussing how the stain of feudal Japan effects them today?

  • the authority dr robert

    But scores two.

  • Man of the people I suppose.

  • Yep the moment those chains came off. Boom. Equal.

  • 2romes

I guess I have not gotten that far yet. I did have a smile on my face with one of Cook plays.

  • the authority dr robert

Cuz that’s where we are at.

Good grief. Ur like a spazzed out college freshman.

  • the authority dr robert

    U better believe it.

  • the authority dr robert

    New post

  • Well then it led to Jim Crow. And then separate but equal, now a days you see it in school to prison pipeline, housing discrimination, work place discrimination, etc. that’s the point. It’s all changed but the past is responsible for the ugliness today. And if you want to speak up for it, you get attacked. What I’m saying is relevant. Anyway, bed for me.

  • 2romes

I got the Ticket but I want to watch it all in real time.

    Troll..

  • diff

True. I had never heard of them until everyone made a big deal out of it. I’m sure non football fans never heard of Kaepernick until this.

  • diff

No. He is himself but a similar use of his position for his own cause.
