Raiders notes: Starters will see minimal action Friday in Arizona

NAPA — Raiders’ coach Jack Del Rio said he expects to play his starters for no more than the first quarter in Friday’s preseason debut against the Arizona Cardinals.

“We’re not dead set on it yet,” Del Rio said Tuesday. “But the typical way these first preseason games go is the first group will play the first quarter, no more than a quarter probably, and then we’ll get a good look at everybody else on the roster.”

With the starters seeing little to no action, it’s a good chance for those fighting for a roster spot to make an impression. Continue Reading
