Blessed is the front of the line

Things have picked up since 6 p.m. We’ve had lunch, the Sony folks passed out these swag bags and three lucky campers got a free 60 gig PlayStation 3, three games and an extra controller. The tickets were contained in these bags that were handed out randomly among the first people in line.

Mike Henriquez of Antioch, above, was one of the winners. “i’m ecstastic. Out of all the things that happened today that was last thing I’d ever expect,” Henriquez said. For them to be throwing free console, games and an extra controller.”

For the first four people in line, the media frenzy is increasing as news and web reporters are vying for their attention. I’ve seen dozesn of video cameras and flash photography. They also got an offer that may be to good to refuse. The folks from PC Gamer offered them a $7,500 custom built PC.

“It was top of the line everything,” Preston Lee said. “Huge monitor, custom paint job, some kind of coolant.”

Right now, they blocked off Fourth street and we’re right next to a stage they moved in from Minna. According to different sources, anyone from Green Day to Tenacious D to some former members of the Blink 182 could be performing. But the thing is no one knows for sure and we probably won’t find out until a band comes on stage.
