Only people who know nothing about figure skating think Lysec deserves the gold.

In the short program (which is included in the final score), Plushenko did quadruples, Lysec did triple triple. And yes, they got almost the same score.

In the long program, Plushenko landed his quad again even though he was the last one to skate and the ice was extremely rough.

If quad was so easy, why won't Lysec even try once in his programs?

Plushenko got robbed twice.

What do you expect from him? Smile and say thank you?

I saw nothing classy about Lysacek and he skated a boring, easy and risk-free program. He couldn't even do his spins and footwork at decent speed. It did look like ice dancing to me, especially with his lamp tan and feathers and snakes around his neck. Btw, if we talk about sore losers, it's almost always Americans and Canadians who end up whining and midering. Somehow when that Canadian pair in Salt Lake City complained about their marks, they were presented as heroes. And to think that skaters at the end of the gruelling day should care about some journalist's West Coast deadlines is totally ludicrous.

Pleshenko is an embarrassement to his country and an insult to the Olympic committee and olympic fans throughout the world. We celebrate all Olympic athletes with or without medals. We distain poor sportsmanship. He should be banned for life from future olympics!!

Evan Lysacek was gracious on and off the ice, something the spoiled brat Plushenko could learn from.
Plushenko's awful behavior cannot blemish Evan's exquisite performance, Evan is obviously the winner.
Ice skating is more than jumps and Plushenko's jumps were not up to par last night anyway, it is also grace on ice and difficulty of moves and spins across the ice. The better skater won by his performance on the ice and then later, off the ice. CONGRATULATIONS EVAN!! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!!!

I to am glad my country was represented by a far classier guy. I did not like Plushenko's nasty look into the crowd after his performance and then his motion as though he was putting an imaginary sword back into an imaginary scabbard. maybe it was playful but the way he looked at the crowd it didn't seem to be so playful. I watched the medal ceremony and i didn't see Plushenko acknowledge Lycacek once he was constantly rolling his eyes and taking deep breaths red faced and it appeared as though his head was going to explode.
