Who will accept responsibility for this, Julie Braun-Martin the Asst Supt of Personnel or Bryan Richards the CFO ?  Lawrence either needs to fire someone or stand up and take responsibility for not being the captain of the ship !]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Yesterday employees who have Blue Shield for their medical insurance provider found they had been deducted an additional amount from their pay checks for their insurance contribution. Payroll&#039;s explanation of this is that the premiums go up January 1, 2011 and rather than take out the extra next year when it&#039;s effective they would start deducting it now.  However the employees were not notified and most of them are switching plans to Kaiser which is cheaper. It is currently open enrollment so employees have not even finished choosing who they want as their insurance carrier.  The District is taking the extra money from them now without their knowledge or confirmation that they want the coverage.  How and when will they get it back?...For example family coverage meant the employee had an extra $138withheld!!  Enough is enough, we have our hours cut, threats of lay-offs, non payment of hours worked by secretaries and now this?  Something needs to be done!]]></description>
