MDUSD appoints nine administrators

At Tuesday’s Mt. Diablo school board meeting, trustees appointed nine administrators, including some who were promoted to new positions.

Unfortunately, I’m still having technical difficulties embedding videos in my blogs, so I’m including links to videos of the appointments, which provide more information about the candidates.

Here are the appointments:

English Learner Services Director: Jeanne Duarte-Armas.

Director, Technology Support: Joshua Wittman

Continuation School Vice Principal: Richard Correa
Video of appointment:
Video of Correa (I accidentally stopped the first video before he made his comments):

Coordinator, Student Community Services 9-12 for Concord HS: Robert Bass

Coordinator, Student Community Services 9-12: Pulled

Assistant Director, Categoricals and School Support: Lorie O’Brien, promoted from position as SASS coach

Supervisor, Food and Nutrition Service: Tim Watson-Williams

Assistant Project-Program Manager for Measure C: Kenya Chatman

Assistant Construction Manager for Measure C: Melanie Koslow

I also shot other portions of the meeting — related to the School Closure plan, teachers’ union contract, the strategic plan, Measure A tax assessments, and Board President Gary Eberhart’s comments related to the special Measure C Bond Oversight Committee meeting and the YVHS 30th anniversary reunion — which I’ll post separately.

Are you satisfied with these appointments?

MediaNews uses Brightcove to distribute their video content. Visit qik’s support desk; this link specifically:
where you will find information on linking your QIK account to your Brightcove account.

I would venture to guess that you’re using the imbed code down below. That would work for most blogs and web pages, but not for MN group pages (darn publishers)

Anyway, you also probably have one of those MN Group employee portals. You’d probably find more detail there too. You could go ask David B, but don’t be surprised if you end up the the focus of a Borenstein Blitz this Sunday.

Feel free to delete this comment since it is off topic.

A query for you Theresa. Is Lorie O’Brien’s a new admin position? I didn’t see it listed under current staff. Didn’t look up any others since I have only worked with Lorie. Thanks.

  3. Theresa Harrington Says:

No, Lorie O’Brien is filling a position that was previously held by Jennifer Sachs, who resigned to take a position in the Pittsburg district.

  4. Ladymar Says:

    Thank you.
