That’s curious –”board giving staff permission to submit them” without seeing them ? Uh, when did the Board do that ? More secret meetings violating the Brown Act ? Or perhaps staff is withholding them from the public but secretly giving them to the Board, probably also a violation of the Brown Act.

When I asked the superintendent’s secretary why they weren’t attached, she said that perhaps the board is giving staff permission to submit them (without actually seeing them, as trustees did with the SIG applications). However, she said she would ask Deb Cooksey (and so will I).

Still working on the waivers ? The Board needs to see them to approve them. How much longer can Lawrence procrastinate ?

Flippen,

Do you have any concerns regarding all the MDHS scandals now swirling:
A teacher No Confidence Vote against Principal McClatchy who incidently had a similar revolt “problem” at her last school?
A stunning lack of safety for students and staff.
An almost certain loss of several million in QEIA funds?
All students and teachers being told that the entire school will be forcefully converted to academys that will almost certainly be to large to properly manage and succeed?
Persistent lack of open and clean/safe bathrooms making it a Williams Act issue?

I would suggest that if you are truly concerned about “…the education of all children.” in the MDUSD that these pressing problems require the same level of your outrage especially considering that they could easily lead to yet another teacher-trigger charter that you so reflexively oppose?

I always say that what’s good for the gander is good for the goose.
