@55 and 56 I am considering running this fall and am currently talking to a range of people about it. If I do run, it will very much be as my own man. I am confident voters would consider me on my own merits. Please don’t presume that someone else represents or speaks for me. People will know very clearly where I stand on the issues.

This a District with great possibilities but some very distressing problems. Regardless of whether or not I run, this election should focus on how the District can be improved and not merely a defense of the status quo.

@TH#57 If Sherry Whitmarsh blocks the Supt’s contract renewal from the Agenda, it will prohibit the public from having appropriate comment on the issue and show her true colors.

@55 **Anon – I agree with you. If the public wants transparency and accountability, we must vote out Eberhart and Whitmash. Also, we cannot replace them with persons having similar agendas like Brian Lawrence may have. We must perform careful due diligence over candidates to ensure the right Trustees are voted in.

@Dr J (#46): true: #9 did use a 3-syllable word (although it was used incorrectly) AND it is difficult to believe that Gary would even know how to pronounce the word “hubris”, let alone know it’s meaning. BUT, maybe Gary has a ghost writer to help him undermine Hansen. Hansen promised her constituents transparency. And now, she’s being punished, shot down, and bullied for continuing her advocacy for transparency. It can’t be any fun for Lawrence, Eberhart, Whitmarsh, and Rolen when there’s one Board Member that actually encourages public input and HONEST and detailed communication to all constituents. The bullying by these four will continue until we vote out Eberhart, Whitmarsh, and decline to vote for Brian Lawrence (Gary and Paul’s buddy) in the upcoming election.

I like Hansen’s idea to postpone contract renewals to next January…but I doubt she’ll get a second. If by some off chance this passes, it will give management at least a year to find other employment options in case their contract is not renewed.

I thought I had a copy of it, but I can’t find it.

One of the items Trustee Cheryl Hansen wants to bring to the board on March 12 is an agreement not to offer contract renewals to the superintendent, assistant superintendents, general counsel or CFO until January, so the board that is in place after the November elections can determine the district’s leadership.
