How is it that a student’s parent was sent a letter from the District that their child would be placed at Sunrise Elem. when an IEP, and other procedures were not in place. I contacted Ms. Locke, Ms. Smith and left a message for Mr. Wogan and all have failed to address the concerns surrounding the letter dated June 8th, postmarked June 11th.

IEP was held on June 13th. I was told that the letter was sent out “PREMATURELY” policies and procedures had not taken place as of today! ?????

No assessments done, but Ms. Smith stated that the decision had been made, without parent being notified.
Parent had not received the report of the behaviorist which was added later and submitted to Ms. Smith at the District ofc.

Thia process and a lack of the implementing of policies and procedures and guidelines is indicative of the anti-bullying, student being refused to call parents about the fractured arm. Unsafe enviroment for children to learn. If I can’t believe what you say, then how can I trust that what you say is standard policy or procedures?

How can I trust that my rights are not infringed upon, and that the process and integrity of those involved has not been compromised?

Ms. Locke how do you gain the confidence of the staff, students and parents, so that we feel supported?

It is clear that there has been no coordinated effort to create a districtwide anti-bullying program. Instead, it has been left to each school to try to implement their own programs. One parent at the PAC spoke very highly of a parent-led program. I have also heard of mentoring programs where high school students speak to middle schoolers.

So conduct that happens at school and not at home should be taken that they come from poverty, personal issues in the home are directly related to school? Not the enviroment and climate at school nor the interaction of UNTRAINED staff. The student with the fractured arm falls in which category?

Complaints from the staff and parents about Ms. Jacobs at Sun Terrace was from the general population. Not parents of students with Special Needs. Are they treated the same?

Programs, policies, guidlines, procedures.

UNTRAINED staff in either category, but being told that their are programs and trained staff. Like Talk Solutions, Soul Shoppe, How can the teachers take responsibilty for not knowing the procedures and enforce them when they have had no training.

Is Mr. Wogan giving counseling to the parents of the injured child. Free of course. Students and parents of students BULLIED. Free of course. His pilot program got funded at what cost, but not implemented?
