Did someone say that their are "BAD KIDS" from good homes?

What about "BAD TEACHERS" in classrooms?
that inflict emotional and physical damage on children.

The disporportionate number of African-American/latino placed in special education programs,is the "Equity Team working on making sure the process is followed?

How is it that a student's parent was sent a letter from the District that their child would be placed at Sunrise Elem. when an IEP, and other procedures were not in place. I contacted Ms. Locke, Ms. Smith and left a message for Mr. Wogan and all have failed to address the concerns surrounding the letter dated June 8th, postmarked June 11th.

IEP was held on June 13th. I was told that the letter was sent out "PREMATURELY" policies and procedures had not taken place as of today! ?????

No assessments done, but Ms. Smith stated that the decision had been made, without parent being notified.
Parent had not received the report of the behaviorist which was added later and submitted to Ms. Smith at the District ofc.

Thia process and a lack of the implementing of policies and procedures and guidelines is indicative of the anti-bullying, student being refused to call parents about the fractured arm. Poor classroom management by untrained staff. Poor leadership and low morale by principal. "Bad teacher" behavior (Andrew Cottrell)
Teachers afraid to speakout (Whistle-Blowers)
Disporportionate number of students placed in Special Ed, suspended, or expelled. PP presentations to parents and programs not implemented, just non-existence. Misrpresentation of information.

Unsafe enviroment for children to learn. If I can't believe what you say, then how can I trust that what you say is standard policy or procedures?

How can I trust that my rights are not infringed upon, and that the process and integrity of those involved has not been compromised?

Ms. Locke how do you gain the confidence of the staff, students and parents, so that we feel supported?

When a teacher calls in and gets a sub, the teacher gets their regular pay and the taxpayer pays up to $140 a day for the substitute. Because teachers do not receive vacation days, but feel entitled anyway, our tax dollars are drained by teacher taking vacations but calling in sick or personal necessity. There have been days at my kids schools where over 20% of teachers are out any given day. LOTS of videos being shown to our kids

ROFLMAO: Lock, how did she get to be Asst. Supt. if she doesn't know how to do that ? How about starting with telling the whole truth, nothing but the truth, and being open and honest instead of all of her caty answers and keeping the truth from everyone.

Lock admitted that many teachers and administrators have not been trained in anti-bullying programs. At the PAC presentation, many parents said their schools didn't seem to have implemented programs that Wogan's handouts showed they had been trained in.

It is clear that there has been no coordinated effort to create a districtwide anti-bullying program. Instead, it has been left to each school to try to implement their own programs. One parent at the PAC spoke very highly of a parent-led program. I have also heard of mentoring programs where high school students speak to middle schoolers.

Does anyone know if it was dateline, 20/20 where the child in the classroom talked about the conduct of the teacher. The parents set him up with a camcorder and recorded the teachers abuse of the child caught on tape.

So conduct that happens at school and not at home should be taken that they come from poverty, personal issues in the home are directly related to school? Not the enviroment and climate at school nor the interaction of UNTRAINED staff. The student with the fractured arm falls in which category?

Complaints from the staff and parents about Ms. Jacobs at Sun Terrace was from the general population. Not parents of students with Special Needs. Are they treated the same?

Programs, policies, guidlines, procedures.

UNTRAINED staff in either category, but being told that their are programs and trained staff. Like Talk Solutions, Soul Shoppe, How can the teachers take responsibilty for not knowing the procedures and enforce them when they have had no training.

Is Mr. Wogan giving counseling to the parents of the injured child. Free of course. Students and parents of students BULLIED. Free of course. His pilot program got funded at what cost, but not implemented?

I believe there are a variety of anti-bullying programs being funded through a variety of sources, including School Improvement Grants at the lowest-performing schools such as Bel Air, Meadow Homes, Rio Vista and Shore Acres elementary schools. Parent clubs also fund some. In Pleasant Hill, the Pleasant Hill Education Commission discussed the idea of funding an anti-bullying training workshop for parents.

You could ask your principal, parent club and members of the district's student services department how these programs are being implemented and how they are working. You could contact student services director Felicia Stuckey-Smith at 682-8000 ext. 4069.

Dr. J: I didn't recall that my editor emailed to you and I don't know what she said.
