I have heard that some parents are frustrated with the Mt. Diablo school district’s busing this year and that many are planning to show up to tonight’s Community Advisory Committee meeting, which will include a transportation presentation.
Here’s the agenda for the meeting, which will be held at the district office, 1936 Carlotta Drive in Concord:

Are you satisfied with the district’s transportation service this year?
OCT. 2 UPDATE: I attended the first part of meeting and recorded the Transportation Report. I have uploaded the six video clips to my You Tube account at http://www.youtube.com/tunedtotheresa.
Many parents expressed deep concerns about problems, including students being stranded. Transportation Director Tom Bishop was fairly candid about the problems and promised to try to rectify them. At one point, he said: “The district shot itself in the foot. But neither Kerri nor I were here when that happened.” This could have been viewed as an indictment of Greg Rolen’s transportation management.
At the end of his report, some parents praised Bishop for his dedication in trying to remedy problems.
