In two nights, 4 new Ełementary principals to be appointed plus new restructuring in Personnel: “As a result of the District restructuring, it is no longer required to have two Directors in the Personnel Department.”. Leyla or Lois ? Nothing stated on personnel actions in agenda.

There was never any reason given for two personnel directors in the first place. It looks like the assistant is taking on the bulk of responsibility for classified staff, while the director will continue to oversee certificated staff issues. As I recall, Supt. Meyer said there are two tech directors too. I wonder if one of them will be converted into an assistant.

    Here’s tomorrow night’s agenda:

Here is a new blog post with the agenda for tomorrow night’s meeting, for those who wish to comment on it:

Please note that the open session starts at 7 p.m., according to the superintendent’s administrative assistant.

@TH#2, no public explanation but all Trustees seemed to have knowlege of two co-equal directors from outside of a public meeting — clearly a Brown Act issue since no agenda ever identified such an issue.

Nellie has already pulled appointments as Principal for Valle Verde and Westwood — that happened on Monday too. This makes the district look so unprepared and disorganized. Of course, the parent leaders probably know how last minute these appointments are and wonder how much thought really goes into these last minute appointments. The fact is not much — resumes are reviewed, the few remaining are interviewed and any left standing are appointed. Slim pickings.
