Hey folks. I’m looking for stories about the nightlife and disabilities for an upcoming story in the Trib. Since I’ve been on crutches I have a new angle on what it’s like trying to get around, including night spots. I also started to notice how few wheelchairs I see out at nightclubs and such. You ever notice how heavy doors are or how small bathrooms are? Imagine trying to get a wheelchair or blind person down the stairs of a club… So I want to hear from people with disabilities (wheelchairs, crutches, hearing/sight impaired, etc)  about how they navigate nightclubs, bars, lounges…even strip joints. Send your stories my way if you got ’em — either here in the comments section or to awoodall@bayareanewsgroup.com.
Let’s hear ’em!
