From what I heard, no one showed up June 22 when the goodbye jam was supposed to happen and last I heard the only plans for Eli’s was to hand it over to a new operator. OTOH, I wouldn’t be surprised. The ghosts of Eli’s have kept the place open this long. I think it would be sad to lose the place entirely.

There is NO NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION on the building. Someone named Jason, who my neighbor met on the 24th, is planning to setup a BBQ restaurant and bar at Eli’s. I’m hoping without the cabaret permit. Why don’t you actually try calling the guy, Mike, who owns the building before posting some rumor from craigslist.
