I liked this restaurant and I honestly enjoyed every time I went there (about once every 2-3 months? the trips do add up). They were friendly to us and the food was great. I always wished I’d see more people there when we went, hoping they’d make it. We’ll miss them.

While my one dining experience at Sidebar was pretty unremarkable, I don’t understand why it deserves a backslap in an article about a completely different restaurant.

I also don’t understand what about Sidebar is more “generic” than any of a number of other places that have recently opened such as Corso, Marzano, or Barlata as well as loads of more established places. I haven’t been to Kansas or Cleveland (BTW one is a state and the other a city) – are they really crawling with restaurants like Sidebar?
