Let’s Go Oakland! is a group of A’s fans, business people, labor leaders, and government officials who are committed to keeping the A’s in Oakland.

But it’s about much more than just building a ballpark. As part of a larger plan to build new hotels, restaurants, and cafes, a new destination stadium will attract visitors from all over the region. Like AT&T Park in Mission Bay did for San Francisco, our ballpark will be a catalyst to bring new investment and jobs to Oakland, kick-starting the next phase of our community’s successful economic development.

If you support Oakland — if you support the A’s — we hope you’ll stand with us. Sign our petition, and urge Major League Baseball and team ownership to keep the A’s in Oakland!

It just occurred to me that maybe you meant Kwik Way, not Quik Stop? If so, then yes, that’s the place. Sorry for the confusion.

It’s near the Serenader, but not near the Quik Stop (Leaning Tower of Pizza is the one near the Quik Stop. The place that closed was called Four Star Pizza or something like that.) The pizza wasn’t actually THAT terrible, but the joint definitely could have used some sprucing up. It’s a pretty small spot, so I doubt it will become as much of a destination as the Temescal location seems to be. We’ll see. I heard at this morning’s bike-to-work festivities that the old 3-day blind place on Grand is also going to finally become something new, but the person who told me didn’t know what was moving in there.

If you’re talking about the place near the Serenader and Quik Stop, I will miss it in a way. But not much. It is time for something a little classier to pick that block up a bit.

Also, Lanesplitter Pizza is taking over the old pizza place on Lake Park, across from the Grand Lake Farmer’s Market.
