Damon and the Heathens were rockin out tonight at the Uptown lounge. Molto baritone sax and trombone. Wunderbar. The neighborhood was slow waking up tonight compared to First Friday night. The street was crawling with people. But I was an early bird tonight. The night owls were just waking up when I had to leave. Sounds like glam rockers Sir Lord Von Raven were a no-show but didn’t understand why…

Yeah, but we left half-way through the second song bc the set started so late. How was it?

Oh, it was fun! I got there about mid-way through their first set, and nobody was there yet. Then the opening band played (I guess there were supposed to be two?) and then they played again at like midnight, at which point more people had showed up, and that set was really good. The new CD is awesome.
